Several things.

He wasn't afraid of left-wing bloggers finding out about his affair? Why not? Could it be that Kroft, 60 Minutes, and the press generally is left wing, and thus generally counts on left-wingers to keep their secrets?

Answer: Yes.

Kroft seems to have had an issue with his paramour's race, instructing her in one text to "not dress like Béyonce." Oh right because she's black.

It would be nice if Republicans actually conducted oppo on their Democratic adversaries, and used it to good effect, instead of just doing so on one another during GOP primaries.

Potential oppo was oozing out of every pore of the Obama campaign in 2008, and again in 2012. It wouldn't even have required much shoe leather work. A lot of it was right out there in the open.

But the Republicans were too chickenshit to use it and go after Obama. No point in polishing up the punching skills with a boxer who refuses to enter the ring.

Donald Sterling is apparently not a nice man and he owns a team that some former NBA playesr wanted to purchase. Easy target since he's an old, white dude that NBA people (sports media, etc.) already dislike - so they knew the story would take. Bonus that they could help some thers buy his team by using the scandal to force him to sell.

Kroft, not so much. Not particularly polarizing or even interesting. And being part of establishment media there didn't seem much reason for his media colleagues to vilify him. So the tribe just sort of shrugged it off and moved on.

Exactly. He's been Obama's place to go when something heats up enough that he needs to engage the press. He goes on 60 Minutes, Kroft throws him softballs (and will edit out any slip-ups), then he can claim the story is over and move on.

IIRC, Kroft sat on a clip where Obama said something that contradicted a later WH claim or testimony about Benghazi.

Then whenever referring to a journalist or Obama administration official, it would be easy to look up who they are related to and always add that information to emphasize the incestuous nature of the Democrat/Media establishment.

I have a friend who did just that. He's an Indian who lives on the Prairie Island rez a few miles from the nuke plant. He put a ridiculous amount, I think it was somewhere around a hundred pounds of it, in an old dump truck box.
