Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, January 19, 2015. On this day in 1977 President Gerald Ford pardoned Iva Toguri D'Aquino (a.k.a. Tokyo Rose). Her sentencing for treason was a major miscarriage of justice as she was forced to do what was called the Zero Hour broadcasts by the Japanese government. Those broadcasts contained no anti-American propaganda. Ford pardoned her after it came to light that several of the witnesses against her at her trial had been forced to lie. Her trial, conviction and sentencing was a major witch hunt led by Walter Winchell, an early MFM hero. Nobody implicated in this miscarriage of justice was ever brought up on charges.

It will be interesting to see how the judge rules in this case after that court has been packed by Obamanite judges. That statement by government lawyers is ludicrous.

Rich white Blacklivesmatter protesters claim harassment when local media tracks them down at their parents' homes. A little bid of double standard hypocrisy wouldn't you say?
But this is the key here: Dan Linskey, retired Boston police chief and security expert, says he saw several familiar faces during the protests on Thursday. "Professional agitators, professional protesters, this is what they do for a living," he said. Linskey says the some of protesters were the same people he dealt with during the 2011 Occupy Boston movement. Three of the protesters weren't even from Boston. Good news, everyone: Plan to save monarch butterflies backfires It started with the best of intentions. When evidence emerged that monarch butterflies were losing the milkweed they depend on due to the spread of herbicide-resistant crops in the United States, people across the country took action, planting milkweed in their own gardens. But a new paper shows that well-meaning gardeners might actually be endangering the butterflies iconic migration to Mexico. Thats because people have been planting the wrong species of milkweed, thereby increasing the odds of monarchs becoming infected with a crippling parasite. http://tinyurl.com/ok4qljk Posted by: Laurie David's Cervix at January 19, 2015 07:48 AM (kdS6q) 64

So the civil rights marches are a few decades ago. The people demanding that the civil rights of people of color are respected.
This was a good thing, I think we all support and are glad that this happened. Not to compare the problems of today with those of men who in the past were enslaved, but what I want to ask is this; When do we stand up and begin to fight for the civil rights and liberties of all men, of all colors, races and religious belief systems? We need marches today as much as we ever have. We the people are being enslaved, this time however we are enslaved by our society, by our taxes. While we may endure this all the while remaining free to live in our houses, watch streaming media on the television, work in the job we choose (provided you can find one), eat when and where we choose, there is a common belief that this is freedom. It is not. We are not free to work for oursleves, none of us. We may not have masters inflicting pain and suffering, demanding of us that we go to the fields to work, or to eat only what we are told and when we are told. We are not the property of some entitled master who oversees everything that happens to us from minute to minute, and we call this freedom. We may not live under direct and immediate threat of violence. This is a soft tyranny in every sense, but a tyranny it is. Your time, to the tune of 40 to 50 percent and greater is not yours. You work for the state, not in principle, not in theory, but completely. You are enslaved to masters who hide behind the facade of government. Your productivity is stolen from you and used for graft, to pay for welfare and to pay the salaries of the entitled class. People who lie to you, restrict your freedoms of speech, freedom to keep and bear arms and on and on. And these people who you make rich detest you, mock you, spy on you and hate you. It is through your work that they do this! You are a slave. When do we stand up and say no more? We need marches now more than ever. Marches for the freedoms and liberties of all men, from coast to coast, from north to south. Stand up citizen and be counted. Posted by: Mrs. Ida Lowry at January 19, 2015 07:57 AM (6G698) 81

As a Buckeye, I have been looking for reasons to support Kasich since he IS a pretty decent budget manager, although he needs to work harder on reducing the size of our state govt. Otherwise, I just can't stand him - he is a big-mouthed RINO on everything else including social issues. He's ok with handling budgets but he is definitely not a full-on Conservative. Morning, Glories!
Before I read the Vic news, thought I'd check in. Some months back, the top of a back molar popped off like a crown. Underneath, the fillings held, so I had a broken tooth but not needing work. I put off having a crown put on. So, I'm flossing a bit of cod from between the teeth, and out pops that filling. Called the dentist. Well, how nice. Dentist just had a baby girl and wouldn't be in all week. So, I've been chewing on the other side for about nine days, and have an appointment for 8:45. Wish me good luck - no - wish my dentist good work. I once hoped I'd live long enough to where they'd learned to re-grow teeth. Filed with: flying cars. Now to view the VicNews. Yeah, I think so, too. And I was (sort of) rooting for the Pats yesterday. But that goes directly to the integrity of the game. With sniping currently in the popular mind, I thought I'd mention a couple of good old books on the subject. "A Rifleman Went to War" by McBride is about a rugged American outdoorsman and top-shot who signed up with the Canadian military to fight in WWI. That's one of the few books I actually read from cover to cover. I've now started reading "Sniping in France" by Hesketh-Prichard, also about WWI. You can find both of these online for free if you are diligent. Although maybe not snipers in the modern sense, Berdan's Sharpshooters of the American Civil War also have some interesting history online.
