3 So, I'm just wondering...when is the last time that western used the phrase "insulted the savior" to describe a piece of anti-Christian writing?

I'm up to here (picture Olympus Mons) with the PC brigade excusing the actions of sociopaths because WE are intolerant. The logical gymnastics give me whiplash just thinking about them.

I usually like Kevin Williamson, but this is just total clueless on his part:

"I am of the view - intensely unpopular among many conservatives - that John Boehner has been a pretty good speaker, that his is a nearly impossible job, and that 99 percent of those who castigate him as a weakling and a sellout - officeholders and free-range critics alike - could not hope to perform half as well as he has. "

6 Paris satirist publication's entire staff murdered in cold blood by Muslims defending their religion. Free speech s where the rubber meets the road in this confkict. 13 Sorry - from previous thread:

Not for nothing, but I was forced to visit the Newseum in DC last weekend. Lots of handwringing over free press, expression, and how Republicans want to muzzle the news media.

But I predict nary a mention of that actual physical attack on a media outlet. Because these are people who are hardwired to think that George W Bush is a bigger threat to intellectual freedom than radical Islamofascists with guns.

Sort of reminds me of this guy I saw on Hoarders. Trust fund son of long-ago radio star Jinx Falkenburg. Never worked a day in his worthless life.

He lived on the streets because his extremely expensive Manhattan apartment was so stuffed with expensive stuff he bought and never used.

But I was not convinced the guy had an actual mental issue. I live next door to a guy with severe OCD. I wasn't getting those vibes.

He came off more as a flaming moonbat who thought it was cool to be "down with the homeless."

Come to think of it, he did have a mental disease. Not OCD or Hoarding. Liberalism.

Mesmerized by the fact that the gunmen got away.

Cops were supposedly posted outside the building - dead.

Other cops showed up in "pushbikes" then realized how heavy the attack was, so fled for more help.

The entire office's staff was present due to their regular meeting.

Why on earth the staff at least - even the management level didn't have guns handy is beyond me. (I know the answer, I just cannot believe it given the threat level.)

This could have been over quickly, but instead, so many died.

It doesn't even enter their minds that a good man carrying a gun would have been the answer to this tragedy.

Reminds me of a story:

Operatic tenors are (mostly) famous for not indulging in sex prior to a big performance, on the belief that they must save their precious bodily essences* for the music.

It seemed that, one day, a famous operatic bass found himself in a train compartment with the wives of two tenors. "How long has it been for you, madame?" he asked the first.

"A month," she sighed.

"And you?" he asked the second.

"Two."

At that point, the singer tipped his hat and said, "Mesdames, if I can ever be of service. . ."

*anyone interested in the "bodily essence" theory should read Bram Dykstra's Evil Sisters.

I'd put Pooty-Toot in that category, considering Russia is part of Europe; the Russkies have no love for the muzzies, not after Chechnya and the Moscow theater attack. Like Herr Schickelgruber, though, he'd go after more than just the muzzies, but hey, them's the breaks.

It would be pretty funny if ISIS or some other jihadi group decided to avenge the insults to the Prophet Jesus Christ(islam has a very strange view of Christ but anyway)

Because-

1) You would see leftard heads explode worldwide as they tried to wrap their tiny brains around multiculturalism and muslims defending Prophet Jesus Christ.

2) it would be sweet to see all the backtracking cultural cowards like Seth McFarland, John Stewart, etc when confronted by real intolerance-
not the fakey-pull a funny face-made-up intolerance of the believers in the Christian Sky Fairy(as they see God).

3) Leftards bowing and scraping even more vigorously then now to the muslims.

Not gonna happen, but you know that's exactly what would result.

Wearing body armor - even with strike plates- ain't like sitting in a tank. Good hits will slow the attacker down until you can put metal on meat.

Violence of action and an expectation you'll need multiple hits to stop the threat are concepts that really need to be drummed into the head of anyone who carries.

We need to shut down the mosques in the Western countries until this is controlled. We all know the training and brainwashing occurs in many of them, and others know about but keep silent for various reasons (fear, or they believe in the cause).

I do not think this is drastic, just realistic.

Europe is a sieve for illegals because of the lay of the land and their proximity to other nations. A grenade/rocket launcher was able to get into Paris. Imagine that.

---

The only way conservatives are going to get their way on anything is to copy the tactics of the progressives. It may take fifty years, like it did for them, but its a tactic that works. The first step is not to take to the phones, but to take to the streets. Conservatives have to be as mean and fight as dirty as the enemy.

But it probably won't happen. Conservatives are conservative, not radical. If people at a rally didn't clean up after themselves, people here would disown them. We have a losing, compromising, not-the-hill-to-die-on, PC-accepting mindset that is the opposite of what is needed to win. And so we'll lose. Progressively.

239 The NFL told the Detroit Lions on Tuesday that officials missed a critical hold on Ndamukong Suh on the Cowboys' game-winning touchdown drive during Sunday's Wild Card game, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

According to the report, the league admitted that Suh was held on a fourth-down conversion with six minutes remaining in the game and the Cowboys down 20-17. On the play, Dallas quarterback Tony Romo connected with tight end Jason Witten for a 21-yard completion, giving the Cowboys a fresh set of downs and setting up the game-winning touchdown.

The no-call came after a controversial decision to pick up a flag on Detroit's previous offensive drive, which stalled near midfield after a defensive pass interference flag against the Cowboys was picked up without explanation.

A source told Schefter that the subsequent no-call on fourth down was "even worse than the PI call/no call," which has been intensely scrutinized following the Cowboys' 24-20 victory.

Well, this looked well organized and violent scum are usually pretty stupid (just guessing here, but I assume that's why they argue politics with guns). Hey GOP, easy lay up:

The first ATF ruling of 2015 is a vast expansion of its already considerable power. It maintains that an entity that rents or leases equipment or tools on its premises to individuals working on their own guns must be licensed as a gun manufacturer and keep gun manufacturing records.

If the business allows other people to use its tools and equipment to perform work to finish a frame, receiver, or complete firearm, that machine shop or other business must, in effect, be licensed as a firearms manufacturer.

346 >>Yes your correct, but people like boehner could quite possibly cause the fracture of the Republican Party, and that is not a good thing

Maybe, but I doubt it. Shit, we are all pretty much on the same side here and we fight constantly about the best way to get things done. I can't imagine how difficult it is to try and get 247 of the largest egos on the planet to get along on anything even when they agree about the goal.

347 If Boehner is not part of the problem, then heck, why not let someone else give it a try. It couldn't hurt because as you said, Obama is the problem. Williamson thinks 99% couldn't have done better, let's find that 1% which in my opinion is anybody.

348 I always think of that line in Unforgiven where the one deputy asks the other deputy why he's got three guns even though he only has one arm. If I'm to be killed, it won't be for a lack of shooting back.

349 The irony of someone complaining about a non-call of a penalty perpetrated against Dummycan Sue is the funniest thing I've heard all week.

I'm somewhat convinced he's why it happened--the League's not insane enough to let his dirty @$$ do his thing in the late playoffs.

Negative. It's counterintuitive but 55 grain lead core is less overpenetrative than handgun rounds or buckshot.

352 If you look at the video it is clear these are trained terrorist. They shot the cop car in the windows at each cop. They shot one cop and then go over and finish him off.

They then run to their car, and tellingly, look under it, to see if anything is under it.

These guys are from ISIS. I'll bet money.

ok look - Obama absolutely deserves to be impeached but impeachment is pointless without removal and that just won't happen in the Senate.

this was an inside job. inside the French military/LE community
Posted by: ThunderB at January 07, 2015 09:36 AM (zOTsN)

The French border is pourous and has little control over materials coming from other EU states. The Med is broad and open, with large numbers of illegal immigrants coming from N. Africa. This does not include the various smugglers and racketeers and possibly people involved in the actual government allowing "material" to come in for a profit.
There are also quite a number of refugees from various places from Beirut to Algiers and other such vacation spots. I expect a lot of Libyans showed up during and after the latest raging war there.
Add to this that there are what are basically neighborhoods in Paris where you shouldn't get off the metro if you are not muslim, and are considered to be virtually mini-caliphates, at least by some people.

It is not necessary to posit an inside job, though it is possible. But it could have been carried out easily without such support.

Posted by: eman at January 07, 2015 10:11 AM (MQEz6)

364 I love watching ammo and caliber debates.

Cuz if you shoot someone it's gonna hurt. Shoot 'em twice and it hurts twice as bad.

All that caliber/ammo type shit simply boils down to: don't get shot.

You can trust me on this.

367 Boehner isn't a leader.

He's a manager.

Totally different things.

Boehner's job is to prevent a leader from arising in the GOP and upending the table.

368 Boner took impeachment off the table and in doing so gave TFG free rein to complete his transformation.

It was never really on the table. You want to impeach Obama over what, Amnesty? We would lose and I suspect you know it. We had Clinton lying under oath in court and what did we get for that? A more popular and powerful Clinton.

Impeaching Obama would just give the msm a chance to lionize him further and increase the caricatures of the right. We wouldn't win anything.

We're in a shitty place right now because the left has spent decades taking over the schools, the msm and most of our culture. We complain every damn day about the sorry state of our country and yet we have Black Brunch and mobs shutting down large parts of major cities with support from local governments, the feds and the msm.

Getting this country back on the right track isn't going to happen by changing Speakers. It is going to happen at the local level first or it isn't going to happen.

370 White House 2012

'We are aware that a French magazine published cartoons featuring a figure resembling the prophet Muhammad, and obviously we have questions about the judgment of publishing something like this,' Carney told reporters during a midday press briefing at the White House.

'We know these images will be deeply offensive to many and have the potential be be inflammatory,' Carney said in a prepared statement.
