3 And I am continuously irritated at Speaker Boehner. He needs to take his crying, orange self back to Ohio.

Pro tip: NEVER read the thread from the bottom up.

633 Hey tsrblke, you're committed now. Just
hang in there. Keep us updated and best of luck
and God's help for you and the better half and
you bambino!

629 Hold called at 1:21. That means a scrub for
the day, since the launch window was
instantaneous.

Seriously though, tsrblke, prayers and best wishes to you the Mrs., and the new baby!

Drudge's headline of constituents jamming the phone lines gave me a glimmer of hope.

That is only the first step. The entire GOP must either be taken back or taken down. And without all that filthy lobbyist lucre that they have, it will be, as Rocco Lampone said, "difficult, but not impossible."

Posted by: J.J. Sefton at January 06, 2015 07:14 AM (CMkNk)

27 It would have been nice to see Congress get its collective mind right and toss Boner to the sidelines, but no one who has seen the cowardly Poppin' Fresh wing of the Republican party at work should be surprised when he sails through and reclaims his "leader"-ship position.

We have come a long way from the days when the oath of office (you know, that "defend the Constitution" stuff) actually had meaning. Now, it's all feathering one's own nest with pork and sucking the toes of your 535 BFFs.

It was minus 11 yesterday morning and snow was on the way for O'Hare. Our original flight on Delta was cancelled but the put us on another that left an hour later. Sweating bullets that that would be cancelled as well, but we got on. Surprisingly, only 18 passengers on the whole flight and we had a 100mph tail wind. And, most importantly, free wine and beer!

36 Morning, 'rons and 'ronettes.

Today is the birthday of Loretta Young:

http://goo.gl/35H98j

In her later years, she became a devout Catholic, much to the irritation of her fellow stars, who remembered her affair with Clark Gable and the resultant child, whom she never acknowledged as hers.

Joan Crawford, in particular, disliked what she saw as Young's phony piety, and made no bones about it. At a party once, she stopped a guest from sitting down, crying "Loretta Young just got up from that chair. The sign of the cross is still on the seat!"

Young also, during the run of her The Loretta Young Show, made use of a "swear jar," donating the proceeds to various charities. At one rehearsal, guest Robert Mitchum blew his lines and muttered a mild "shit," only to find Young at his elbow, shaking the jar and expecting fifty cents.

Mitchum dug into his wallet, pulled out a twenty and stuffed it into the jar, growling "Go fuck yourself, Loretta."

Here's Young in 1940s He Stayed for Breakfast. And wouldn't you?

http://goo.gl/cB4RyH

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Hate to disagree with Angry Kermit the Frog, but the chickenshit GOPe-ers over at TA are right. It will be meaningless, which for teh Corpulent Captain, Allahpander and the overheated denizens of the Groan Room is a self-fulfilling prophecy.

You cannot spend your time playing the Game of Politics and tittering at the more trivial missteps of the Other Party and then suddenly become a patriotic crusader. It just doesn't scan....

If Republican Reps had consistently been urged to grow a pair, it might be different. But Pillsbury Doughboy and Company would never be a part of that.

I understand that conservatives dislike winning sweeping victories in the midterms (twice) only to be represented (via the Speaker) by a liberal Republican. I understand why that makes people angry. Hell, it makes ME angry.

What I don't get is the willingness to burn it all down (and I'll admit to going back and forth with this) because of the squishes continuing to be squishes.

It's also human nature to cling to power, which is why I understand the liberal Republicans doing everything THEY can to stay on top.

Conservatives will either garner the votes in Congress or they won't. From where I'm sitting - in the Chair of Absolutely No Consequence - the people have asked for more conservative governance. We'll see if our representatives actually listen this time.

I was listening to the lame-brained Fred Barnes on the radio on the way to work. He was speculating on the type of 'legacy' Obama would pursue and, while it would behoove him to be more bipartisan to get 'things done', Fred said he's much more likely to want to be the President for the progressives and go down as a purist who never caved.

Thus, he'll likely be attempting to set the public's mind towards the Dems and progs such that the next Dem will have the table set or, barring that, the next GOP Prez will be a fellow-traveller.

I felt a little sorry for Loretta Young. After all, what was she supposed to do when she got pregnant, at a very young age, by the much older and married Gable? It was in the '30's, and there was no way she could have told the truth about the baby without ruining both her own film career, as well as Gable's. Young was supporting several family members, including her mother, and she literally couldn't afford the scandal.

At least Young took care of the baby, which is a lot more than Gable ever did. OTOH, I also felt sorry for Judy. Imagine going through life with a mother who thinks that you're a walking, talking reminder of her "mortal sin."

270 232 I think it's not uncommon for a baby to get a dislocation during delivery if the doctor has to grab him from the birth canal.
Or to get forcep marks.
Sometimes the baby even has to wear a skull-shaping helmet for a few weeks.
That reminds me - my mom told us that she always made us, as newborn babies, face one way then another for equal periods of time when lying down in the crib. She didn't want us to have flat backs of the skull which she said happened when babies just lay looking up at the ceiling. So of course I did that too with my kids. Heh. The things that get passed down.

Heh. I had a scheduled C-section because of my son's heart defects, but during the delivery noticed (faintly, I was druuuugged) a whole lot of activity down there. Turns out my son wasn't just breach, he was doing the splits, w/one leg pointing straight up (next to his head) and w/his arms wrapped tight in a hug around it. Doctor got him halfway out before realizing that to continue would likely break the leg or hip. So he shoved the little guy back in, untangled all the limbs and pulled him out again. No broken limbs, woohoo!

Publicly available exploit threatens all Tor users unless they take action now.
According to Wired, "Operation Torpedo," as the FBI sting operation was dubbed, targeted users of three darknet child porn sites. It came to light only after Omaha defense attorney Joseph Gross challenged the accuracy of evidence it uncovered against a Rochester, New York-based IT worker who claims he was falsely implicated in the campaign. Operation Torpedo used the Metasploit Decloaking Engine to identify careless suspects who were hiding behind Tor, a free service used by good and bad guys alike to shield their point of entry to the Internet.

The Decloaking Engine went live in 2006 and used five separate methods to break anonymization systems. One method was an Adobe Flash application that initiated a direct connection with the end user, bypassing Tor protections and giving up the user's IP address. Tor Project officials have long been aware of the vulnerability and strenuously advise against installing Flash.

That has occurred to me, also. It also occurs to me that the definition of "kiddie porn" could be rather elastic if someone wanted - I know of at least two famous paintings that featured nude models that were under 18 (14 and 15, as a matter of fact) at the time of painting, and I bet there are a bunch of others out there.

Might not be safe even without a computer if you own books of 18th century French or 20th century American paintings.

See, that's the problem I have with New Testament literalists. I did a bunch of self-guided Bible study back when the Mel Gibson movie came out. Figured I couldn't weigh in if I didn't understand the background.

And I've always been leery of the lawyerly reading of "I am the way and the truth and the light, and none shall come to the Father save through me". I am told that that means only that I must accept Jesus as my personal savior.

Really? I'm a linguist at heart. Languages don't map 1:1. I started wondering what language that was written in. Well, maybe Classical Greek, maybe Koine, maybe Aramaic. The earliest scraps of copied and/or translated text are from the third century.

And there were lots of other gospels, too. I read them.

The Canonical Gospels were a political document agreed upon in 325 AD. I know that my serious Catholic friends insist that the Council of Nicea was inspired by God, so it really was God's choice. But still.

361 296 The daughter was not in a state of mortal sin, her mother was. Additionally, publicizing the sordid details was committing the additional sin of scandal.
_________________________

I agree that the daughter was not the one who sinned. I think Loretta was just expressing her own guilt and shame over the affair, although she expressed it in a way that hurt her daughter, who was blameless in the affair. But as you note, at least Loretta had enough integrity to resist compounding her error by not getting an abortion. And Loretta did raise the girl and love her, which is more than her biological father ever did.

Loretta tried to keep the girl's true parentage a secret, but it was widely rumored for years in Hollywood that Gable was Judy's real father. Judy wrote that for years, her mother made her wear hats and bonnets to cover her prominent ears, so as not to give the truth away. But when Judy was an adult and confronted Loretta about the rumors, Loretta did admit the truth to Judy. And in her authorized biography, Loretta also admitted the truth to the public, a year before she died (of ovarian cancer ).

The Antenicean fathers produced lists of what books were considered gospel in their own day, and they match up pretty well with the NT as it exists today. The only books that there was much dispute about were the Shepherd of Hermas and James, IIRC.

Remember the planaria worm back in highschool biology? That cross-eyed looking worm thing that could grow an entirely separate portion of itself if you split it down the middle? Well, my HS friends and I got clever and split one down the middle but only halfway, making it grow two heads off of the same body. We wanted to let it mature enough to eventually split the two heads into four, making it into the mythical Hydra (Hail Hydra!!!) creature but our teacher scolded us for animal abuse.

385 This probably explains why Huckacluck is entering the Presidential race:

http://www.theamericanconservative.com/articles/mik

e-huckabee-is-a-poison-pill-for-conservatives/

He's probably just a stalking horse for some GOPe candidate.

And performs two big functions:

1) He peels off evangelicals from real conservative candidates which cause them to be non-starters in race for the nom and allows the Jeb!s, Christies, etc a free run

2) The GOPe and "moderate" wing don't want evangelicals anyway - they're too stupid and superstitious for these geniuses.

And won't owe them anything politically, because they've thrown their support and wasted their votes on Huckablob.

My opinion: a deal was cut to let Huckabee on an extended leave from his show to knee-cap conservative candidates.

A Prez run by Huckabee is a money generator - he sells more books etc.

He gets his old job back in the end.

Some other out-of-sight renumeration -free house in Hawaii, whatevs.

Original sin resulting from Adam and Eve's defiance of God's rules.

We are here as punishment for the same sin.

437 And I've always been leery of the lawyerly reading of "I am the way and the truth and the light, and none shall come to the Father save through me". I am told that that means only that I must accept Jesus as my personal savior.

We're having a Salvation/Legalism/Translation discussion and the Church of Christ member is busy at work!!!!

Oh! The Humanity!

And we know* that Luke, at least, wrote his Gospel in Greek (and, yes, "we" know the dialect, but I personally do not). We know this because it's the language in which he would have been most fluent in for writing purposes.

As for the translations from the rest of the NT, they would also likely have been originally written in Greek, simply because they were to be sent to so many different people (and Greek was kind of the universal language in the 1st C).

As to how accurate they are? Well, we know from an archeological standpoint that they are as accurate as we could expect, and we have more scraps and fragments of the NT than we do scraps and fragments that refer to, say, Julius Caesar.

For the Salvation question, if you believe in Christianity, you kind of have to believe that Salvation comes only through Christ. That is made very clear. Even if you grant that some linguistic creep could have occurred and he did not literally say "no one comes Father except through me," a) that concept (in very similar wording) is recorded multiple times, and b) there's not a whole lot of conceptual creep that could occur there, unless you're suggesting a complete mistranslation somewhere.

Oh, and Imma throw a bombshell here and point out that EVERY SALVATION STORY IN THE NEW TESTAMENT also features full immersion baptism (the word, in fact, means: to immerse in water) of adults. Not once will you find a salvation story wherein the one(s) saved is not directed to be baptized.

And now I have to get back to working at work.

441 Now, this just makes my day ...

In a grotesque twist of the saying "live by the sword, die by the sword", an Islamic State executioner in Syria who carried out beheadings for the jihadist group has been found with his head cut off.

The body of the Egyptian man, known to be the deputy emir of the feared al-Hesbah (or Hisbah) force in the eastern province of Deir al-Zor, was recovered near a power plant in al-Mayadeen city, according to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

The corpse showed signs of torture and carried the message "This is evil, you Sheikh" written on it. The severed head also had a cigarette in its mouth. It is unclear who carried out the decapitation but the message was obvious.

Islamic State's (formerly known as Isis) ban on cigarettes is one of its signature polices. It has imposed a strict set of Sharia laws barring the use of drugs, alcohol and cigarettes in the territories it has conquered across a swathe of Iraq and Syria.

Men who decided to violate the plainly-stated directive of call no man Father, for you have one Father, and he is in Heaven.

Individuals who made up an entire culture from whole cloth, then asserted that it was through that culture they made up, having received no instruction on the formation of the colossal bureaucracy that is the Catholic Church, by which salvation would come, as though salvation was a thing emnating from the Church, as opposed to Christ himself.

The Catholic Church, the institution, the papacy, the bishops? That was not created by Christ. That was not inspired by Christ. The graven images? Confessing one's sins to a stand-in for the Lord? That was not Christ's doing. That is man's doing.

We in this era have no need for a stand-in between ourselves and the Lord. That is the entire point of the high priesthood of Jesus Christ. The introduction of an, and the authority of man, robs Christ of his rightful role as our Intercedor. This stuff is made up whole cloth.

The instructive thing to remember is that Christ has invited us to partake of His work, but that we are not at all needed. It is the same as a father inviting his children to help him in building a house, or working the farm; the children's work is sloppy and unrefined, but the father accepts it because of his love for his children, not for the quality of their efforts.

1 Corinthians 15:58 is a good example of that.

1- The Church had not yet been established (wouldn't be until Christ returned to His Father, which didn't happen until the ascension).

2- Christ's blood had not yet been shed, meaning the Salvation plan wasn't going to work for anyone who died before "It is Finished" (or, presumably, before Pentecost).

3- I don't think Abraham is in Hell, either.

However, Salvation stories only exist after the Ascension and Great Commission. The first Gospel Sermon occurred on Pentecost. I also have a personal (not shared by everyone) belief that, even without baptism (or even "asking Jesus into my heart"), people who are killed specifically because they claim to believe in Jesus get a Get Into Heaven Free card.

As for those who died before Pentecost and the establishment of Christ's Church on Earth... I don't know God's plan; you'll have to take it up with him.

Yes. However, even after Baptism (which washes away original sin) the EFFECTS of original sin remain. So if where you're going is, "Can the infant get into heaven?" then the answer is "yes."

From the Catechism:

As regards children who have died without Baptism, the Church can only entrust them to the mercy of God, as she does in her funeral rites for them. Indeed, the great mercy of God who desires that all men should be saved, and Jesus' tenderness toward children which caused him to say: "Let the children come to me, do not hinder them," allow us to hope that there is a way of salvation for children who have died without Baptism. All the more urgent is the Church's call not to prevent little children coming to Christ through the gift of holy Baptism.(Catechism of the Catholic Church 1261)

That Christ established "the church" is indeed not in question.

Whether the Catholic Church is that alone or in part is the question.

That a Catholic and a Protestant alike are saved is a given. Both have accepted Jesus Christ and that is what is needed.

The question is not one of what is needed for salvation, but rather, what is not needed. Among the things not needed are rote-structured prayers that we are specifically warned against, golden statues and graven images, nor any living being standing between us and the Lord. These things are superfluous, but great emphasis has been placed upon them by the Church historically, and today; why then do we ignore plainly-written Scripture telling us not to do these things?

The books of Acts and Galatians would suggest otherwise.

In Acts, it is James (not Peter) who finally sways the Church in Jerusalem to accept the Gentiles without circumcision- if Peter had been "handed the keys of the Church" that would not have happened.

In Galatians, Paul recounts "oppos[ing] Peter to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong" another thing which would not have happened (remember that Paul was a Jew who understood the old Priesthood, too) if Peter were "the boss."

I can point to a website that traces the lineage of every single Catholic bishop in the world, in all of recorded history, along with the person who ordained him (by laying hands on them) all the way back to Jesus Christ himself. If you think that Christ's words to Peter don't mean anything, there's nothing I can say to change your mind. You're a literalist. That's fine. But you should not for a moment think that your answer is the only answer.

I'm not going to argue Catholic theology with someone who doesn't know any. We don't have a common basis for understanding so all we're going get is pissed off.

It took me 3 years to get to where I am in understanding the "whys" and "hows" of what is. I'm not going to be able to give you that level of background in a comment section of a blog.

575 Follow-up question: Since an infant can neither accept Christ in a formal profession of faith, nor achieve any works of faith, does the child enter heaven forgiven of all sin?

We Reformed/Augustinian/Calvinist types would say that none of these are truly necessary for salvation per se, but are merely the outward signs of God's saving grace that enables faith. In other words, God must change our sinful nature before we are capable of repentence. So, it is entirely possible for an unborn infant to be saved even if he or she is incapable of professing Christ.

Now, what God does in any given case is difficult to say.

579 Here is a question on a personal level--I get original sin pretty much, but see a contradiction assigning that sin to a newborn. It posits to me that being born is a sin.

Actually, I do not believe in "original sin." Human nature is sinful, yes, but prior to having the ability to act contrary to one's nature, there is no guilt- strictly speaking Adam and Eve were probably "living in sin" in the Garden of Eden (God never says they *shouldn't* be ashamed at being naked, only asks who told them they were naked). Because they did not know Good from Evil until they ate of the fruit, they were nevertheless innocent.

So, too, with children. Until a child can tell the difference between Good and Evil (do right for its own sake, or doing wrong "because I want to" vs. doing right because Mom and Dad say so), he or she is innocent. At some point that lightbulb goes on and the child understands the difference. Then they become guilty of all their sins, and require salvation.

587 The only Baptism joke I know.

A Methodist minister and Baptist minister are quibbling over their respective means of Baptism. The Baptist Minister insisting that only full immersion was adequate .

The Methodist Minster suggests that they use a nearby pond to study the question.

Wading waist-deep into the water, the Methodist asks the Baptist, "Is this far enough"?

"No", replies the Baptist.

The Methodist moves in deeper, until his shoulders are covered. "Is this far enough"?

"No", replies the Baptist.

The Methodist moves in deeper, and ducks until just the top of his head is above water, then rises up and asks, " Was that enough"?

"No", replies the Baptist.

Finally the Methodist completely immerses himself.

"That's good!", cries the Baptist.

"See?", says the Methodist, "I told you that it's only the top of the head that matters."

Kinley Ardal, no Catholic prays to graven
images. We don't think the statue of Jesus IS Jesus. If the janitor
knocks the statue over and it breaks, that doesn't mean God just died.
It's just a representation: which led to some of the greatest art in
Western Civilization.

Madam, I submit to you that there is no more accurate definition of what an idol is than a representation of the worshiper's god.

Art is irrelevant to the core of the issue, and whether bowing to a man-made item as part of a worship ceremony is acceptable before God, which Scripture plainly tells us, it is not.

Incorrect. Definition of an idol insists that the deity reside in the representation in some specific way (see its root word "eidolon"). A representation used to focus the thoughts and prayers is not the same thing.

Not at all. The statement seemed to imply an equality between Peter and Christ. There is none, of course. That Christ wore the body of a man for a brief time, he being eternal and God, does not draw any parallel other than Christ accepted the limitations of our bodies for a time to do his work, whereas we are these bodies of ours, and have no choice about being born into them. This applies to Peter, too, who was a fallible man (as all of us are) who regarded Christ as his master (as we do).

The statement that Christ established the Church, while true, is a non sequitur in the context of this conversation. Why does the Church condone, and indeed encourage things that, throughout the Bible, we are told not to do?

Why does the Church Christ Himself set up contradict all that has gone before? Christ did not come to destroy the law, but to fulfill it. o_O

This is honestly splitting a non-existent hair. The definition of an idol is an image or other material object representing a deity to which religious worship is addressed. Leaving even that aside, what is at stake here is the intent and directive of the command to have no graven images. Think of it like so:

The true idolater believes that his God has come to reside in the object he has built.

The Catholic believes that God does not reside in the object he has built.

The one who believes his God has taken up residence in the idol bows to worship his god before that carved image.

The Catholic who does not believe his God has taken up residence in the idol bows to worship his God before that carved image.

Both are material foci used in worship, and that is the entire point of graven images. Unnecessary, and detrimental, indeed specifically instructed against.

Posted by: Kinley Ardal at January 06, 2015 11:00 AM (9LuAk)

594 Ardal, you shouldn't get your information on Catholic practices from David Duke's websites. Start at Catholic Answers, catholic dot com.

In general, the appeals to an unstructured, Christian literalism only appear after literacy became common. Without the structure and power of an organized church, the intervening sixteen centuries would have been tough. The Jewish method of maintaining God's word in their tribal group wasn't reaching the rest of creation - that took an organization. Peter understood he wasn't a singular rock, but a cornerstone.

You have no frame of reference for anything in the human experience if you set yourself up to second-guess the intent of Scripture. To take this position not only robs you of any basis of comparison for a theistic debate, it makes the question of what is truth an impossibility!

Kinley,

You exhibit all the self-righteous nonsense of a muslim with his Quran.

I assume that you've read all of the Gospels in their original Aramaic, Greek, Hebrew, etc.

Oh, you haven't?

Welp, so much for the literal interpretation of the Word of God.

You're just basing your interpretation 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th hand.

Since you've already admitted above that both the Protestant and Catholic are saved by their belief in Christ, you're argument is....what?

Sort of like you admitted that this Catholic ham sandwich is nutritious and delicious and fulfills the duty of a ham sandwich, but-

it not a "TRUE HAM SANDWICH" if it doesn't have Gorgonzola cheese on it.

You do know that there is roughly 2000 years of Biblical commentary and interpretation by the Catholic Church, don't you?

As opposed to the "Kinsley Interpretation" of what 30 years?

Since you're so hot, as stated above, to have people question their faith,

why don't you spent some time reading the religious writings of great Catholic Thinkers and Saints.

Give St Augustine a whirl.

600 O.K. I;m retaking this over from the other thread:

For the Christians: Do you believe in Jesus Christ as Lord? Do you wish to be his disciple? Are you earnestly striving after it and asking the aid of the Holy Sprit? If you can answer yes-Good Nobody wins these arguments and people who aren't Christians either shake their heads or in the case of leftist militant atheists they're rubbing their hands gleefully that the conservatives have something else to divide them. I'll say it again-The statiists/communists won't care what shingle you have out in front of your church. They won't care if you think that your church is the one holy and true church and the other guys got it all wrong. If you love your tradition-good. Love it and pray for it and pray for its members ,leaders and pastors. Pray for other Christians-that we all become closer to Christ and more conformed into his image. Because if the people who worship government and/or despise the Judeo-Christian tradition win we're either be in camps or get our heads sliced off.

Enough already please! Stop with the religious arguments Peace be with you.

And this comes from a person who has a deep appreciation for Catholicism, the Eastern Orthodox Church and Protestant traditions.

Posted by: naturalfake at January 06, 2015 11:38 AM (0cMkb)

Very simply this:
The question is not one of what is needed for salvation, but rather, what is not
needed. Among the things not needed are rote-structured prayers that we
are specifically warned against, golden statues and graven images, nor
any living being standing between us and the Lord. These things are
superfluous, but great emphasis has been placed upon them by the Church
historically, and today; why then do we ignore plainly-written Scripture
telling us not to do these things?

Yes. BUT....

That comes with a huge caveat.

The Catholic Church teaches that this does NOT mean that everyone who is not visibly within the Church is necessarily damned.

Salvation comes through the action of the Church in the world.

604 Further, naturalfake, in what way is it self-righteous to state that anything but a literal interpretation of Scripture is destructive and bound to cause confusion and discord?

You may charge that I am reading the wrong translation, but you cannot suggest that the premise itself, literal interpretation of Scripture, is anything other than exactly what God wishes. He revealed it to us. That is its purpose. He teaches, we read.

Furthermore, upon further consideration, your contention that

Sort of like you admitted that this Catholic ham sandwich is
nutritious and delicious and fulfills the duty of a ham sandwich, but-

it not a "TRUE HAM SANDWICH" if it doesn't have Gorgonzola cheese on it.

is indeed the very reason I took up the topic, in reply to the topic of "There is no salvation outside the Catholic Church".

In other words, I began replying to the topic specifically in reply to the very No True Scotsman argument inquired about above, and replied to by Sean Bannion.

Also, you shouldn't make accusations at folks about which you know nothing. o.0 Apparently this David Duke fellow is a white supremacist, which I am decidedly not.

Dude, you argue like a libtard.

You keep changing the goal posts, but I'll play.

You assert in argument that your interpretation is the correct one, the literal one.

Sorry, but you can't make that argument, unless and until-

you can read and translate in the original Aramaic, Greek, Hebrew, etc-

and even then, there would be other translators who would disagree with you..

At best, all you can do, is say that you prefer this 2nd or 3rd or 4th or 5th or 6th hand translation,

that some guy presented you with.

Which is fine...but you want your preferences recognized as the universal truth-

so the Ham Sandwich analogy still applies.

By the way, this 'literal interpretation - literal Word of God" nonsense has never and I repeat never been accepted by main stream Christianity-

the Bible has always been understood to be written by men inspired by God but not God's literal words.

That's why there has always been a bit of wiggle room in all denominations of Christianity.

I suspect you would find a better home in islam where the Koran is the literal word of Allah and you could give free rein to your prejudices.
