18 Morning all, Happy New Year! Back into it after a visit to family in the AV (small world Fewenuff!). Flying back non-Southwest last night, missed the games. Were the refs consistently bad or just the muffed interference call/non-call? As much as it kills me, I prefer the Cowboys over the Lions after watching those thugs step on the Bear lineback and Rogers leg. That kind of play by these 'gentle giants' needs to be stopped.

30 Their first big test will come in March when the debt cieling has to be tackled so the big question is how are they going to prepare the battlespace.

Also DHS is only funded until then so I see the typical bloviating and procrastination with a hastily cobbled together agreement voted on at the 11th hour.

In other words we'll be screwed again.

Define "everybody."

Once Boner fends off challenges to his "leadership," it'll be a normal Choom Gang party on teh Hill, and they can get down to doing the "nation's business" of feathering their own nests and p*ssing away the money that will have to be printed to make people think this country still has a chance of surviving as anything but a third-world shithole.

So no Democrats will be upset except for cosmetic political purposes. The only ones who will feel the pain will be...us.

34 Why is Dershowitz being accused of of having sex with a 17 year old who says she was held as a sex slave? Possibly because he says the ways campuses handle rape accusations violates due process of the accused? Interesting timing that this comes up now.
It's either that and/or it's because something damaging might come out on Clinton. I'm much more likely to believe Clinton is having sex with teens procured by Epstein than Dershowitz.

A shame more people didn't think that way in 2008.

The distress/disgust generated by McCain was strong, and a few people were saying we should start getting a party that represented actual conservative, patriotic people up and running. Seldom cited historical and mathematical fact: multiple powered tools of machine shops in days of yore that were driven with belts connected to a single rotating horizontal shaft more often than not had said belts configured in the shape of a Moebius strip, whose single-sidedness improved their wear life.

Those shaft systems were originally driven by water wheels. Then, steam engines could slip right in there. It was only the development of smallish individual electric motors that enabled factory floors to unstrap and get "off the line." The gendered-art consequences are left as an exercise for the reader, as it were.
