Last Sunday I went to hear a talk by one of the USS USS Pueblo (AGER-2) sailors. He was a QM1 at the time. Lots of torture by the NOKs.
Any defiance was severely punished. Visiting Western reporters helped point out some of the more obscure (to the NOKs) defiance like the Hawaiian good luck greeting. Yet this torture and that in Viet Nam is never mentioned by the current press on water-boarding. Posted by: NaCly Dog at December 18, 2014 06:22 AM (u82oZ) 28

We release 3 convicted murderers for an innocent civilian and normalize relations with a police state that does not have to reform itself in any way at all. And the Congress and American people were not consulted at all, but that's just the standard. deep down I know that once i get myself informed I will be disgusted once again. Posted by: Gentlemen, This is democracy manifest at December 18, 2014 07:15 AM In a sense, it doesn't matter what you think about it. I have nothing against the Cuban people, and I've long believed that all this "embargo" stuff was simple posturing horseshit from Our Betters in D.C. With Castro's connivance, the politicians have been playing us -- and the Cuban "exiles" -- for chumps since JFK. That said, any "deal" involving Choom Boy is going to have a harmful effect on the U.S. He has a long record of kissing the butts of America-hating terrorists. And a similarly sordid record of p*ssing away our money on said terrorists. This was a deal worthy of Jimmuh Carter. Team Terrorist out flank and overwhelm weak defense of Team Infidel at Sony Field, while in Cuba, a poor decision by the flustered Infidel coach leads to an interception and easy score by Team Terrorist. Cuba has plenty of baseball talent, as does the DR. It's a cheap game, occupies 20 kids at one time, it was the perfect game for Commies to gravitate toward. Of course, most of the big time talent finds a way out by the time they're in their late teens, early twenties, but who knows, maybe there's some established National team player or two who will jump to the bigs.

144 Gordon Chang has a column in the daily beast about the norks. He cryptically says that they used Chinese IP addresses, and were trained by China.
This sounds to me like he is saying what I said days ago. This is a false flag attack from China. They are testing out their power to destroy a hated Japanese company. When our kids were young, Gramma (my mom) sent them an electric stoplight toy with built-in siren. Could be set up for game play, or, as a motion detector. Mom knew what she was doing to Milady and me!
Karma, though. She tried to ship it with batteries installed, and as she stood in line at the post office, the sirens went off. She had to unpack and repack the thing there in the post office. It lasted for about one set of D cells, then 'broke.' Posted by: mindful webworker in Christmas spirit at December 18, 2014 08:52 AM (bVtr0) 293

Agreed. But Hollywood always caves to special interest groups, all the dang time - they make sure what they put out doesn't offend CAIR, LGBT, NAACP, etc. That's how we've ended up with most movies where the villain is either big (White)business, deranged (White) military/defense contractors, domestic or foreign White supremacists, and evil Christians. Yes, it is pathetic that NK can threaten a movie studio, and not only do they back down, but our own president - the guy they've given oodles of $$$ and support to - doesn't even say a peep. Obama should have made a public statement that no American business will be bullied by terrorists and invited the studio to do a screening at the WH.
But this is Obama, a guy who bows to China and Saudi Arabia, is mocked on facebook by ISIS and the *kid* of a dictator, is publicly mocked by Iran, even mocked by Russian elite (tweets about him eating a banana). 380 I used to know a woman from Somalia who was married to a white Christian American. She invited me to a pig roast at her house. She said that of course, nobody ever heard of Kwanza in Africa. She also laughed about AA "African" names. She said, "I think they must pick letters from the Scrabble box." It's a good theory, except I don't think Scrabble is an extremely popular game in the inner cities.
