Good Morning Morons. Today is Monday, November 17, 2014On 5this day in 1968 the infamous Night of the "Heidi bowl occurred when NBC switched from football to movie of Heidi. In the missing 42 seconds, the lagging Raiders scored two touchdowns, defeating the Jets. Even then I would have rather seen Heidi because I liked the book and I thought pro football sucked.

Looks like an interesting week ahead!
We're likely to see the GJ decision from Ferguson, which will surely draw a response from the DoJ. I wouldn't be surprised if Choom Boy pulls the switch and plops down the Official Welcome Mat for 10-30 million illegals. He has already proven that he's down with breaking the law, so this is consistent with his America-hating agenda. And if these events come to pass, it'll be a big week for "conservative" media. Will the Republican Punditry wake up and start calling for Our Betters to obey the law, or will they shuffle their feet, make pathetic excuses and say "look...over there...GRUBER!!11!!" We may get our "fundamental transformation" during the next seven days.... My opinion of President I Stand With Muslims could not drop any lower. From Rollcall, top priorities: Republicans voted Friday on conference rules for the 114th congress. There were only two approved changes, one of which was allowing Congress to hand out more medals. The new rule, from Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy of California, allows for more than two Congressional Gold Medals per year to be handed out. Not the Medal of Honor, but a civilian tchotchke. And judging by this list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Congressional_Gold_Medal_recipients Harry Chapin had a significance in American History of which I was not aware. Maybe it is unclear to anyone who doesn't actually deal with controlled substances, but all DEA registrants (and if they are passing out narcotics to people they better hope they had a DEA license) are subject to inspection, and the rate and number of inspections of all types of providers - physicians, pharmacists, hospitals, hospices, etc. - is on the rise. Time is like a river. You cannot touch the water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again. Enjoy every moment of life. As a bagpiper, I play many gigs. Recently I was asked by a funeral director to play at a graveside service for a homeless man. He had no family or friends, so the service was to be at a pauper's cemetery in the Nova Scotia back country.
As I was not familiar with the backwoods, I got lost and, being a typical man, I didn't stop for directions. I finally arrived an hour late and saw the funeral guy had evidently gone and the hearse was nowhere in sight. There were only the diggers and crew left and they were eating lunch. I felt badly and apologized to the men for being late. I went to the side of the grave and looked down and the vault lid was already in place. I didn't know what else to do, so I started to play. The workers put down their lunches and began to gather around. I played out my heart and soul for this man with no family and friends. I played like I've never played before for this homeless man. And as I played "Amazing Grace", the workers began to weep. They wept, I wept, we all wept together. When I finished, I packed up my bagpipes and started for my car. Though my head was hung low, my heart was full. As I opened the door to my car, I heard one of the workers say, "I never seen anything like that before, and I've been putting in septic tanks for twenty years." Apparently, I'm still lost....it's a man thing Posted by: toby928(C) heard a funny story at November 17, 2014 09:06 AM (evdj2) 244

A man escapes from a prison where he's been locked up for 15 years.
He breaks into a house to look for money and guns. Inside, he finds a young couple in bed. He orders the guy out of bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the home-owner's wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her, kisses her neck, then gets up and goes into the bathroom. While he's in there, the husband whispers over to his wife: 'Listen, this guy is an escaped convict. Look at his clothes! He's probably spent a lot of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck. If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain... do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous. If he gets angry, he'll kill us both. Be strong, honey. I love you!' His wife responds: 'He wasn't kissing my neck - he was whispering in my ear. He told me that he's gay, thinks you're cute, and asked if we had any Vaseline. I told him it was in the bathroom.' 'Be strong. I love you, too!' So, on immigration. The GOP has passed several bills through the House but because there was no "path to citizenship" in them for illegals already here the Senate refused to pass them.
For years the President said publicly, again and again, there was nothing he could do for illegals unless and until Congress passed a bill. Now, he is proposing to EO legitimacy for illegals, AND there is no "path to citizenship" in his EO. In fact, his EO is so politically divisive that he may forever condemn to sat-in-stone illegal status. Why aren't immigration advocates going after him hard on his proposed actions? Answer: because its all a Potemkin sham. Kabuki theatre. Democrats don't give a rats ass about immigrants, only the MSM narrative. This topic about the DEA cracking down on pain killers is a pet peeve of mine.
Saving you all from my issues on why I have used pain medicine along with 2 types of of medications to help prevent and deal with degraded joints, it is not just the NFL that the DEA has been cracking down on. NOBODY can get pain medicine anymore being the pharmicists have been coerced to the point that the simply will not fill anything other than tylenol 3 or other non narcotic medicines that are frankly, useless. Prescription drug abuse has been a serious issue, cutting the supply off for people who need it is a friggin crime. It would be nice to see some in depth reporting on this issue being grandma and grandpa have for the most part been suffering to no small degree as they watch everyone carrying on about their business like there is not a care in the world. Football is a pointless and violent sport that thrives on misogyny and drug use. From the unrealistic body images and sexual objectification of the so-called "cheerleaders" to the steroids and cocaine of the players, not to mention alcohol consumption by the fans, the whole sport is a lowbrow affair. Billions of dollars that could be spent in the pursuit of social and environmental justice instead build oversize stadiums and allow illiterates into colleges to throw a ball.

The guy looks and sounds foreign (am I still allowed to notice that?) and then he says something like, "I'm Palestinian, so I know all about being unfairly portrayed in the media (again, WTF?). Regarding Ferguson and the weather, I don't know if freezing temps will be much help. If they decide to make it an arson party, fire departments have a bitch of a time fighting fires in the freezing weather. But maybe if it's rainy, snowy enough we'll get lucky and they will all stay inside. Of course, this is the big moment for the various "leaders", so there will be people agitating for violence to draw the cameras, as always.

Football related....
This one won't make it into the NFL's Ray Rice program for wayward fisticuffs. Univ. of Michigan starting senior Frank Clark spent the weekend in jail in Sandusky, Ohio for beating his girlfriend in a hotel room..in front of her younger siblings, after he drank a fifth of Hennesey. Clark two years ago had pled guilty to a second degree felony theft charge for breaking into a dorm room and stealing a laptop. The felony was removed from his record when he paid restitution. He missed all of one game for that infraction. This says more about the culture surrounding urban poor college football players than anything else. I realize the schools believe they have an obligation and can somehow magically turn these guys lives around via being a student and a college athlete, but sadly, it doesn't always work. http://www.mlive.com/wolverines/index.ssf/2014/11/police_report_outlines_reports.html Posted by: Jen the original at November 17, 2014 10:29 AM (hjTr7) Posted by: Bigby's Sweaty Palms at November 17, 2014 10:29 AM (3ZtZW) 524

I can only think of one out of the blue libtard attempt to shame me in a public place. A few years ago, I was in Target with my toddler first born doing a little shopping, you know, minding my own business, feeling happy. I was picking a package of Pampers off the shelf, when suddenly this old, fat, harpy ran(yes, literally, ran up to me) and stuck a finger in my face and said: "You're killing the Earth! Disposable diapers are filling up our dumps and ruining the Earth. You put those back right now. They aren't green!" When my jaw went back in place, I noticed that instead of teh krayzee. Her eyes were filled with righteous anger. "Put those back!" she said again. My exact reply (without thinking) was: "Oh, fuck you. You dried up, old bitch." Her jaw dropped opened. I turned my cart and resumed shopping. I'm glad when that moment came I replied as I did, but, honestly, who does shit like that? Posted by: naturalfake at November 17, 2014 10:42 AM (KBvAm) 568

So they get together in various parks and streets and post pictures of themselves topless. And when the weather gets cold they come up with a reason to visit saunas. It's quirky, interesting, and hawt. Posted by: Bandersnatch at November 17, 2014 10:43 AM (JtwS4) 572

I was very slow to get a cell phone. Finally got one when a friend was very depressed over a divorce so I'd be reachable in case of an emergency.
The next phone was chosen b/c it could do email (for work) and had a good camera. IPhone was for the camera and ease of integration w/ outr other apple products. But I always stay a few generations back on tech. I rarely adopt early. Posted by: Y-not on the phone at November 17, 2014 10:43 AM (wlPue) 575

Twitter is worth having if only as a newsfeed for places you forget to
visit regularly and also for ppl who track subjects of interest. And, as AtC said, for snark. If you like sports, it's fun to see what current/former players have to say about the game you're watching. Iowa State's last several QBs are all on and they tweet during the games--comments about the play selection, defense reads, getting shafted by the officials (not just homerism, the BigXII has issued several apologies for the refs making clearly wrong calls that have caused ISU to lose games). But it's a lousy RSS feed. People who just tweet out the URL of their blog post once a day are only going to reach the people who looking at that particular moment--very few people go back after work and read the whole day's worth of tweets (Facebook is better for that). The sports figures thing is fun. Also encouraging to track the good celbrities, like charlie daniels. DEA shows up to search. Have they ever heard of a warrant. They said it was totally random.
Uh . . . last time I checked totally random with no facts was not anything close to probable cause. I'm a player or coach I ask to see their warrant- no warrant particularly describing the things to be seized - no search. I cause a scene. The NFL gets embarrassed, the DEA looks like idiots. My job is done here. Refusing to allow a search by invoking your rights under the 5th and 4th amendments is not grounds for a warrant . . . I passed on a "smartphone" for just that reason (well the data charges didn't help either to be honest)!
I finally got a Samsung Galaxy, with Consumer Cellular. My data charge, which gets me 200 texts and 20mb of data costs $2.50 a month. I use my home wi-fi for the internet so I don't rack up the data. It only takes a couple minutes to configure it that way. Go over the limit and it gets costly, but you can check usage as often as you like and change to one of the higher tear (sic) plans anytime.
