Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | So Like Pennsylvania's Democrat Candidate for Governor Used "Torture Porn" Actor In His CommercialActor in Pennsylvania politician Tom Wolf's campaign ad starred in 'torture porn' films Before Alan Benyak -- a lawyer and Army veteran -- was featured in a campaign spot for Tom Wolf, who's the Pennsylvania Democratic gubernatorial candidate, he had lead roles in pornographic flicks. "Breeding Farm" and "Lucifer’s Unholy Desire" focused on the torture and debasement of women.Well this has all started out fairly unsavory. I wonder if it will get worse. Spoiler Alert: yes it will get worse. Alan Benyak was featured in a political ad for Tom Wolf's campaign for Pennsylvania governor, in which he vouched for Wolf’s Peace Corps service. His roles prior to the ad, a new report alleges, were more sensational, to say the least. The star of a campaign ad put out by Pennsylvania gubernatorial candidate Tom Wolf was discovered to have appeared in multiple pornographic movies, forcing the campaign to pull the spot, according to a bombshell report. Long before Alan Benyak was cast to appear in the ad for Wolf, the state's Democratic nominee for governor, he starred in several "torture porn" fetish films --pornographic flicks that feature women being beaten, tortured and otherwise debased. "Breeding Farm," one of Benyak's most prominent works, features several scenes of the actor torturing women, force-feeding women and "engaging in cannibalism," according to Buzzfeed, which claimed to have viewed the disturbing film. ...#WarOnWomen, am I right? You can click the link to see the package art for "Breeding Farm." I actually uploaded but then decided (seriously) it was contrary to this site's standards of propriety. The New York Daily News don't mind linkin' it, though! Corrected: The New York Daily News sells the "pornographic films" angle, but commenter Average Joe says it must not be divorced from "torture" as in "Torture Porn." He says these are salacious torture-porn horror movies, surely offensive to most, but not actual pornographic films. I do not know, as I've never seen Alan Banek's oevure, but the trailer for Lucifer's Unholy Desire (below) does make it look like a microbudget horror film with an emphasis on breasts (that is, a standard microbudget horror film) rather than a porno. speaking of Dems for governor, I got another one of these emails from the Wendy for Texas BS machine today:
You probably know my story by this point. What you may not know is my motivation for overcoming the challenges I've faced. And the answer is completely unsurprising: Family. Before I ran for State Senate, before I went to law school, before I even started taking night classes at Tarrant County College -- I was blessed with a beautiful daughter but only had a low-wage job to support us. All I wanted to do was make life better for our family. So when the opportunity to get an education came along, I jumped at the chance. That's the simple answer-- and it's not unique to me. Millions of Texas families share similar stories. They face similar struggles as the ones I've faced in my life. All they need is the opportunity to grow and succeed. I think they should have it. The uncle of literally decades of voting R are taking a principled stand on voting D to toss the R out because he annihilated the career of a man who, at the least, turned a blind eye to the open-secret pedophilia of Sandusky. We're tribal. Paterno was shamelessly scapegoated by a gaggle of shitweasels, including the PSU Board of Trustees and the Governor. Paterno is rightly revered. They shat on 60 years of exemplary service because they thought they could cover their asses. Could Paterno have done more? Surely, if he were of that temperament and felt he needed to personally persue it. All sorts of people whose jobs it was to pursue it didn't, and some covered it up. Actually it revolutionized the industry because: the internet + Clinton's very lax (no) policy on enforcing any decency laws = everybody could get into the porn business. You may be forgetting that Corbett was on the PSU board of trustees at the time and did NOT do a damn thing about it either. Posted by: Drill_Thrawl at September 11, 2014 02:51 PM (xtpUs) An entirely fair point, yet, not the reason cited. The reason cited was action against another person who didn't do a thing about it either, one who was revered for whatever reason by the locals. I have never understood the mysticism of organized sports. The hero-worship is a thing foreign to me, I am just too damned sarcastic to hold any human being on such a pedestal. So while the critique of Corbett may be entirely valid (I do not know), it is not the reason folks like the aforementioned uncle or diehard Rs are voting the way they are. Nobody seems to give one shit, let alone two, about the pedophilia and cover-up of said pedophilia. No, what's important is Paterno's legacy. OT:
The Jerusalem Post obtained new information from informed sources this week that Hamas used violence and threats against UN personnel in Gaza during Operation Protective Edge. It was discovered that during the operation Hamas was hiding weapons in facilities run by the UN aid agency UNRWA and firing rockets from nearby proximity to UNRWA schools. The Post has now learned that UNRWA workers were subject to Hamas threats at gun-point during the operation. In a number of incidents, Hamas terrorists threatened to kill UNRWA personnel if they revealed that the Islamist group was using the UN facilities for purposes of war to ensure that they would not speak out about Hamas's activities. Details have also emerged of the fate of medical supplies and food that were intended to be distributed by UNRWA to residents of Gaza in need of humanitarian aid. On a number of occasions, armed Hamas operatives forcefully confiscated the supplies, taking them for their own use There is more in the complete article at the JPost. They're definitely on the x-rated side, like that "extreme horror" type shit always gets the x, but I don't know if they're actually pornos. One is produced by Troma films, I think, and they don't do pornos (per se). I mean, all of these cheap horror films are exploitation films and jam pack in lots of x-rated shit, of course. Paterno was about more than football, he was about values. What other football coach has raised $30 mm to build a library, because he thought we needed a better library to be a world class university? What other Div 1 school graduates 90% of its scholarship athletes? (hint: none). He created the culture that gave us a starting lineman who *taught* integral vector calculus to undergrads, while he was playing as a masters student? (same hint). Porn, of course, is at least about vicariousness. Even the feminists will agree with me.
I even think we would agree that we should all have less vicariousness in our sex lives. Especially single-handed sailors, and the like. Ultimately, the resort to porn is a failure of the imagination. It may be the sort of thing that reduces fecundity for both male and female. Additiinally, something is driving down average testosterone levels, whether it is diet, a response to urban crowding among susceptible populations, porn, all of the above, some factor or factors unknown? In fact, Troma is so cheap (or poor, if you believe their propaganda bullshit) that they proudly re-use footage of the same car crash in almost every film. They're a bunch of lefties, but they HATE Robert Redford and his snooty Sundance Film Festival so they can't be all bad. They crash Sundance every year with their own "Tromadance" festival where they fuck with the Hollywood douchebags. Troma Trivia: James Gunn, director of Guardians Of The Galaxy got his start writing/directing for Troma. He puts Troma head honcho Lloyd Kaufman in his films as an extra (he's one of the inmates in the prison scene in GotG). Gunn's ex, Jenna Fischer from The Office, worked in the crew for several Troma productions before hitting it big. Posted by: IllTemperedCur at September 11, 2014 03:21 PM (TIIx5) 384

The whole of the Paterno thing could be summed up as "a Camelot-esque culture that feared being dragged through the mud by the ugly truth about one of the personalities at the Round Table, and so kept its silence about Launcelot and Guinevere."
Except in this case, Guinevere was played by a series of prepubescent boys. "We would have all such offenders so cut off: and we give express charge, that in our marches through the country, there be nothing compelled from the villages, nothing taken but paid for, none of the French upbraided or abused in disdainful language, for when lenity and cruelty play for a kingdom, the gentler gamester is the soonest winner." A nice roundup on 9/11 celebrations by Blackfive:
http://tinyurl.com/ohlody6 Especially interesting is the troll at the bottom of the comments. Remember all the Muslims that suddenly showed up all over the net with their bizarre and obvious lies about what had just happened? I remember being on a Macintosh forum a day or two later talking to someone about how there was remarkably little backlash (relative) to what had happened. The saudi royals being flown out, no roving gangs of Muslim killers etc. A Canadian Muslim came on, interrupted and told me that I didn't know what I was talking about, that there were "hundreds" of hate crimes against peaceful Muslims in NYC in the wake of the attack with dozens murdered. I actually tried to engage the guy in conversation for a bit and then he posted something about how he himself was just a peaceable guy who right after the attack he was on the phone and on the computer till after midnight organizing several Muslim organizations and sending out press releases across Canada and the USA. Then he suddenly realized what he had done and deleted his post. Then went dark. I knew what he was then. Posted by: Daybrother at September 11, 2014 03:35 PM (dDyQx) 435

Corbett is no great shakes but he did hold the line on Zerocare expansion and fracking. Oh well. Posted by: Tyrone Shoelaces at September 11, 2014 04:03 PM (44OyV) 491
I'm not assigned Margaret Cho's.
This begs for the wants, settles, gets meme but "propriety" or maybe just anti-gag reflex. Posted by: DaveA at September 11, 2014 04:08 PM (DL2i+) 492
I was merely pointing out Breitbart's take on it rather than expressing an opinion myself. I'm primarily curious what interest Breitbart has in defending a democrat rather than let him make the not-quickly-or-easily-explained distinctions himself. By not-quickly-or-easily-explained I mean nuanced, requiring at least 16 Vox flash cards.

Is these videos gonna cause our embassy in Peruvia to git burned down? Cause we don't want that to happen again.

So, then, I trust my roles in "Nudist Colony of the Dead" and "The Naked Monster" won't impact on my Presidential aspirations?

Why are they trying to slut-shame some poor actor for making some healthy, normal movies. More reason to teach sex ed in schools, so people don't freak out every time some consenting adults engage in role-play erotic fantasies that subvert the hegemonic norms of the TEAliban haters and their vanilla lives.

Lucifer's Unholy Desire is NOT pornography. It's a Planned Parenthood training video.

For reference, the Torture Porn entry at TVTropes:
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TorturePorn "Any work which gives heavy, focused attention to Cold-Blooded Torture and/or mutilation of someone. This is usually associated with popular Horror Films from the Turn of the Millennium; the term was coined in 2006 by film critic David Edelstein to describe films like Hostel, Saw, The Devils Rejects, and Wolf Creek."
