1 Good Morning Morons. Today is Saturday, July 26, 2014. On this day in 1951 Walt Disney's Alice In Wonderland premiered in London England and NYC. Kathryn Beaumont was 10 years old when she did the voice for Alice. My question is, why can't we make movies like this now? I guess because all the people like Disney are dead.

2 Palestinian Authority chief Mahmoud Abbas is at the UN trying to get them to come in and pull their chestnuts out of the fire after they started a war with Israel. They will probably get it too because the Muzzie 'n Chief we have will sell them out. I never thought I would see the day when we have a President who sides with thugs and terrorists. And also gives them money.

This is simply a thinly veiled attempt to ask the UN to intervene against Israel, notes John Bolton, a former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. and a Fox News contributor.

3 Republican lawmakers are challenging the Obama administration over a newly announced plan to expand the use of U.S. military bases to house illegal immigrant children, warning that it will put a strain on troops and threaten military readiness.

So what little money has been left in the budget for the military after sequester will be used up housing illegals that Obama brought here through open invitation. Not only that, but he is openly inviting our military to get hit with all these diseases that they are bringing with them. I say reopen Ellis Island and stick them there until they can be deported back to their home country. They can also get their hearings while they are there.

So what are the Republicans doing? Expelling a lot of hot air.

These are tiny little rascals that will be extremely hard to detect and are very sophisticated. Would be a nice toy if you are a billionaire. They cost between and $30K and $50K.

9 Remember that feminist scrunt professor who assaulted the anti-abortion protestor (16 yo)? She pleaded nolo.

A feminist studies professor at a California state university accused of forcibly grabbing an anti-abortion activist's poster and assaulting the 16-year-old girl has pleaded no contest to three misdemeanor charges.

University of California at Santa Barbara Associate Professor Mireille Miller-Young was charged with one count each of grand theft, vandalism and battery in connection to the March 4 incident involving 16-year-old Thrin Short, her older sister, Joan, and other pro-life activists who were holding signs in a free speech zone on the campus when the professor went berserk.

So in CA grand theft and assault and battery are misdemeanors? Or did they just downgrade it because she was a hyphenated liberal scrunt? But cry me a river, she was "triggered". And she is still employed by the University.

14 Thousands protest Israel in NYC streets! Screams the headlines here. Note the picture in the article is a stock photo of a cop standing in the street in front of a crosswalk. 20 The unindicted criminal Holder has a new regulation mandating that theaters install a host of new expensive upgrades for the blind and deaf. How many blind people go to "see" a movie? If I am not mistaken the law says "must make reasonable accommodation". This is not reasonable. This law has been massively abused since the day it was passed and has been nothing more than a lawyer right to work bill. Which is what the POS was intended for.

First off, they put a picture of a little girl on there that had NOTHING to do with the issue, simply an artifact to sway the crowd. Then they make a bold statement that the Israelis rejected the peace deal when there never was a peace deal.

That is enough to say they went beyond their normal biased reporting and used lies and innuendo to tear down Israel and its reputation. Any reasonable jury would see that as libel and even meeting the Sullivan test.

Honestly, the Stones should have retired at least 10 years ago. I see video of them on stage and I cringe. Sinbad did a routine about M.C. Hammer performing as an old man and it's hilarious.

Actually, I remember my dad (rest in peace) entering my room, somewhat peeved that I was blaring Led Zeppelin on the stereo. "What, you're going to be listening to that when you're 80?!"

If it were not for the US taxpayer subsidizing this POS city it would have gone under long ago. But the story: Rats have overrun the city morgue and are eating the bodies and attacking the workers.

On those trips to HI that I talked about a few weeks ago that was one thing you had to look out for. In fact, it was best to just leave the hookers alone. I think about half of them were cross-dressing transgenders. If they lifted up their dress you would see something you did not expect to see.

Funny you should mention that. I read a lengthy article one time that talked about the correlation between murder rates and the death penalty.

When you graphed the murder rate compared to the length of time it took to try and execute the perps it was directly proportional. As the time increased, so did the murder rate. As the time decreased, so did the murder rate. And if there was not death penalty at the rate went up and up and stayed up.

The death penalty IS a deterrent as well as making sure to repeat offender.

The WH traitors have already thought of that, apparently. If the governors don't know where the hell the illegals went, how can they be found and flown back to their home countries?

And like I said, I've only seen stories of states and towns getting 200, or 300. Low numbers. We've gotten tens of thousands streaming across the border. Where are they all going? I believe states have gotten 10x as many as is being reported. And who could dispute the numbers being put out by the WH? We don't even know where they went, so there is no way to track them. Asked about the comment, Earnest said, "There are senior members of the Republican Party, or prominent voices in the Republican Party who are calling for exactly that." [impeachment]

"Who? Sarah Palin?" CNN reporter Jim Acosta asked, referring to the 2008 GOP vice presidential candidate who called for Obama's impeachment.

"She mentioned it," Earnest said.

Do you remember what the old drive-in speakers looked like and the shape they were in. That is what those headphones would look like after a year just so maybe one blind person a decade could go "listen" to a movie.

And then the ACLU would sue saying the theater didn't maintain the gear. Theaters are already in bad shape. This will be the death knell. I think they should sue based on the "reasonable" clause. Given a "reasonable" jury they would win.

She wasn't just a burglar. Add assault and battery, kidnapping, possibly home invasion. Her accomplice would be subject to murder charges because a homicide occurred in the course of a felony. The 80 year old gentleman should indeed have shut up.

If you have liberal Jewish relatives consider sending them this video-"The case for Israel." by Bill Whittle If your relatives are older Jews (as opposed to 20 somethings) they probably support the state of Israel and may not be on the "poor Palestinians" bandwagon. It might be a good idea to send this video to brainwashed Jewish young people too, who may not know the history of Israel and Gaza. In it,l Whittle asks the question, "If you're Jewish why do you still support Democrats?" if you're tiring of arguing with your relatives maybe someone else might help convince them. I know it's unlikely, but still....

It's going to take some Governor to stop whining and take direct action.

But the regimes strategy is to spread these invaders all over creation as to make it as difficult as possible to track and to make the direct impact on state budgets as small as possible.

But when you sit back and contemplate that there were actual meetings in the White House to formulate this plan to subvert American sovereignty you begin to hate the stupid bastards that put this menace back in the White House more and more.

The only thing that can stop whats happening is direct action by citizens it seems.

181 CrotchetyOldJarhead, my wife and I home-schooled our three. Actually, what we tried to do was make them autodidactic. We'd tell them, whatever you're in, home, school, wherever, your education is your own responsibility. This was a necessary teaching because, frankly, milady and I weren't really up to the task.

Nevertheless, when it came time for my twin boys to get their driver's licenses, the State required a literacy test. That was their only day in "school." They both tested 'way ahead of high school seniors, at 16, to my surprise. When one went to college, again he tested well ahead of his peers. Their older sister decided to go to the local HS for her senior year, and managed to get all kinds of advanced credits to graduate.

Can't really say we did that. We just read to them, read with them, and got them reading, mostly. Uncle $crooge comics teach surprisingly good lessons about thrift and hard work!

A young (compared to me) cousin, who has kids ranging from college-age to toddler, has home-schooled them all. They have homeschooling organizations for support, teaching materials, even sports team arrangements; we had none of that. "School" are whatever you're learning, and learning with close family and friends is best.

Hope the law favors you whatever state you're in. Checking on homeschool regs was one of the first things we did in moving, and we were glad to see our state was supportive, by which I mean non-interfering and non-demanding.

There are individual schools, individual teachers who are exceptions, but by and large the federally-run institutions no longer educate, they indoctinate, and sending children to them should be considered abuse. IMHO.

182 I rarely go to the movies, although I weren't to see "Jersey Boys" which is about Franki Valli and the start of the Four Seasons. The music and acting are great if you don't mind "F U" every two minutes ( since it takes place in NJ and has partly to do with some mob connections of the group withChristopher Walken as a grandfatherly mob boss) it's worthwhile to see. Very interesting story not known because in the 60s they had to clean up the background of the group. No sex, no real violence. I just point that out and also say that where IO am which has a heavily latino population, that I didn't see any people I thought looked Central American in the movie-illegal or otherwise, so if you wan to to alert people to issues about diseases it might be better to push the idea of illnesses in schools.

They are having difficulty because a large portion of the legislature are corrupt, backstabbing SOBs, who care more about their own empires than they do protecting the planet. Basically, the state's version of the CBO, when estimating the number of background checks that would be generated under the new law regulating private sales of firearms grossly overestimated the percentage of sales done by private citizens. This estimate relied on outdated, dubious source material. This brings into question all statistics utilized by gun grabber groups and politicians. I have been saying this for a while- question the source material when your reps are citing statistics.

213 I sense... a ripple in the force. A new post coming up perhaps.

Before this old thread dies, I offer these:

Another snarky radically inclined webwork
Bill vs. Barry (vid 1:41)
Two Slimeball Presidents Compared, Points for Style
mindfulwebworks.com/radical/bill-vs-barry
and still not as disturbing as Bowie and Jagger.

HOWEVER, inspired by NDH's post (except the vid) and by
Bitter Clinger: Defy the law of gravity: SMILE!!
I offer as an alternative a webwork of a different spirit:

Project for today: Smile (a dab of text and tiny kitty pic)

215 12 Obama is planning another big amnesty action via "Let it be written, let it be done" after this Summer. His adviser says this may trigger impeachment. Now WTF was the purpose of that statement?

***

The obvious desperate purpose is to bait the GOP into actually impeaching Obama. That is the only hope/plan the Dems have to stop the bleeding of Obama's poll numbers in advance of the looming November bloodbath.

But what is worth pondering is whether by this, the Dems are conceding that what Obama intends to do on immigration is an impeachable offense.

The legal question being, can a President blatantly defy the law and the successfully justify that as "prosecutorial discretion"?

200 Vic, when I rode big bikes- choppers-- on the street

there was a running argument- "is it better to step off the bike, and

tumble? Or ride it down?"

All I can do with 0-Merica is ride it down....

Posted by: backhoe at July 26, 2014 09:36 AM (ULH4o)

When I rode bikes if I saw I was going down I tried to ride it down as well. Sometimes though that wasn't possible.

Yeah, I had 74's toss me. Lucky me, none of those spills injured me beyond a few bruises- I always wore full leathers, boots, and gauntlets. On King's Way I had to ditch my bike in a lady's flower bed- fool in a line of cars coming at me pulled out to pass- on a 2-lane-- and there was nowhere else to go. The bike and I fetched up in a garden she was tilling. She was quite gracious- didn't even want me to pay for the damages I and 550 pounds of 74 had caused....

It's already provided for in the digital formats in use. It's just another audio sub-track, like turning on the commentary on a DVD.

There's a lot of ways to do this without creating much expense for the theater. Most phones these days have WiFi and can stream audio. An app for a streaming audio track to be listened to via earbuds plugged into the phone will keep the added audio limited to those who want it and keep the expense for the venue to a minimum.
