Still On The Hunt: Sharyl Attkisson - [Niedermeyer's Dead Horse]

Sharyl Attkisson may not be working for a network but don't be fooled into thinking she's stopped working. She's now free to investigate and to write about what pleases her and has been tweeting about those stories.

Last evening, she tweeted this:

(Click in tweet for links to the stories)

The news of fresh Obama scandals and failures occur at such a rapid pace that it's easy for important news to fall by the wayside as the networks move on to the fresh, shiny squirrel. Here she offers continued coverage of some of the stories that others have walked away from: the VA Scandal, Military Injustice, Benghazi, etc, ....

I cannot wait for her book to be released. I've never before pre-ordered a book but did so here, on the first day she announced it, back in early March. It's gonna be a barn burner.

Boil

place immediately into a very hot fryer until crispy brown on the

Center is soft and moist, outside is crispy and tasty,
and evenly salted (you may have to experiment to find your "salty" sweet
spot). And so simple to do."

Steve Sailer @Steve_Sailer
Subprime used car loans: What could go wrong? http://www.unz.com/isteve/subprime-used-car-loans-what-could-go-wrong/

Back in the 2000s, it started to dawn on American elites that working class Americans weren't earning enough money to keep the economy humming. So, they thought and thought about what could be done to boost the earning power of working class Americans and came up with a three pronged strategy:

- Sleazier loans (If Americans can't earn more money, then, uh, they can borrow more money!)

- More immigrants (Because isn't that the solution to all our problems?)

- Sleazier loans to more immigrants!

Your *concern* is duly noted, Stranger.

I follow her on Twitter and do not recall a lot of (well, any, frankly) anti-vax stuff. She did do some *reporting* on a study published by a medical scientist in a scientific journal. Link in my nick. If reporting on a published scientific study (or anything controversial) disqualifies someone's entire volume of journalistic work, then there's going be hard to find any news to read.

And I don't even know what the point you're trying to make is with respect to the Playboy bunny thing.

That is exactly concern trolling. It presupposes that conservatives are latching onto people to tell us how to think and it tosses in a gratuitous factoid (I actually haven't verified that it's even true) to be used as a slur against the target.

Speaking of which, apparently it's getting quite risky for them in parts of Europe -- namely, the neighborhoods taken over by the Religion of Peace. I've heard several stories from folks whose kids were/are missions in France and iirc England where the missionaries were told in no uncertain terms that they'd better get out of that neighborhood.

Glanced at the PEW poll and saw attitudes wrt Mormons are pretty neutral across all belief systems. Maybe that's mostly a reflection of having little direct contact.

That 18-29 year old are OK w/Muslims considering that they were 5-16 for the Sept 11th attacks seems odd....maybe it's also due to the schools/Left going overboard to NOT speak out against Muslims following the attacks, and orgs like CAIR getting Islam incorporated into curricula?

165 Evangelicals are Jews most disliked group?

It was explained to me like this once... Evangelicals would insist that Hitler can be forgiven if he says he's sorry. Worse, Nazis did what they did knowing it was wrong *because* they could just ask forgiveness afterward.

Now... the person who said this to me might be a complete nutcase and the only one who thinks this in the History of the Planet.

It's also contrary to any actual Christian doctrine because quite obviously, if you do something you know is wrong, on purpose, because you can get forgiven for it afterwards, are you actually sorry? Pretty clearly you're not. The *repentance* part requires repentance.

Luther preached against the practice of the Church selling indulgences to forgive what God forgives for free... They were also selling indulgences for dead relatives, which he thought was bad. They also sold indulgences for future sin, which was viewed by some as a carte blanche. People caught on... paid up... and robbed the sellers of their booty on their way out of town.

So it's not as though the notion of forgiveness without repentance is unheard of... but that was in the 1500.

174 Liz Warren is always worried about the little ... Wising up

U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren's PAC has raised tens of thousands of dollars from wealthy Democrats, including a top President Obama donor and a close friend of Hillary Clinton's -- even as the Bay State lawmaker travels the country blasting big business and the super rich.

Among the most recent donors with the deepest pockets who gave to Warren's PAC for a Level Playing Field, according to its latest federal filing:

- Barbarina Heyerdahl, a Democratic activist in Vermont who has given heavily to President Obama. She gave $5,000 to Warren's PAC last month; Heyerdahl has donated more than $190,000 to Obama and other Democratic candidates and committees since 2006, federal elections data show;

- Susie Tompkins Buell, a major national Democratic donor and fundraiser who has been referred to as the best friend of potential presidential contender Hillary Clinton. She gave $5,000 to the PAC in May; and

- California billionaire John Tu, co-founder and president of Kingston Technology, and his wife. They each donated $5,000 -- the maximum allowed -- last month; Tu is listed as No. 110 on Forbes' list of the richest people in America, with a net worth of $4 billion.

176 Sharyl Attkisson. Good luck to her.

But frankly, she's a fart in a whirlwind. And really, meaning no disrespect to her, her book, what she is trying to do, or people who are eager to read what she has written.

She is one person, and has been divorced from CBS News. She will be defamed, attacked, ridiculed. And that's the beginning. She'll get the high inside fastball.
No major network will cover her book, or give her time on their talk shows. She will become and un-person.

There's a reason we keep losing, and it's because, in part, that the News Propaganda is controlled by a handful of people, who control the content of the news. Sure, we have AoS, The Blaze, and a bunch of other Right-side web sites. That maybe a half -million individuals read. Out of a population of 310 million.

She may want it to come out on October 4th, but the publisher ultimately makes that call, and they probably want it coming out after the election. See, Hanoi Hilton dvd in 2008. Scheduled to come out in October 2008 for a year or so, and the movie company decided to delay it so that it wouldn't come out in time for the election. Couldn't show what McCain went through in Viet Nam while Barky was running for President being anointed.

Has anybody checked to see how this compares to the map of the US where people are fattest? Cause I think LA was the fattest area. So maybe the folks in NYC are so unhappy because they are hungry.

She could find lots of publishers that would be happy to bring that book out before the election. Granted, 90% of them would rather bury the book, but some wouldn't mind making money.

Kind of like the "End of the World this Wednesday" story and putting it out on Friday. Less people will care. I know I won't be as interested when Hillary or Moonbeam are president to find out they're lizard people. Hearing it third hand or when I'm getting shuffled onto the space ship will be fine.
Posted by: Clutch Cargo at July 20, 2014 08:34 PM (7HjKx)

She probably had an understanding with the publisher that the book would come out in early October, but shit happens according to the publisher. While another publisher would say "hell yes we'll publish it next week", her publisher will just hold up her contract and say, "nope, we're good releasing it when we want to".

I would bet her contract has some weasel room for the publisher to delay the book for "certain unforeseen reasons".

Shore dives are phenomenal. rented a jeep and loaded tanks and lunch in the morning. swim out to buoys and drop down to a wreck at 90-120. do a wall and then sit in the sand at 20 ft. and watch fish till air runs out. plenty of boats for drift dives also.

If Lincoln can run for reelection in the middle of a bloody Civil War, then I don't think any president could possibly justify retaining the office due to a national emergency of one sort or another. Doing so would itself risk a bloody civil war. They--the Democrats and the hard-Left who would support an Obama third (fourth and fifth) term--must know this. They can't possibly be that stupid.

Yes, I know, but there's a difference between being blindly ideologically driven and stupid. They've been beating the daylights out of us for the last several years. They aren't stupid.
