Sefton: sefton at cutjibnewsletter.com | Jake Tapper Finally Gives Hero of the Left A Chance To Speak Without Being Questioned About Her ClaimsSo says Sandra Fluke, thanking Jake Tapper for finally allowing her some camera-time, without challenge. Until now she's been silenced. I've attempted to get Jake Tapper to answer the question "Did you ask her about the $9 per month pills at Target, 2.8 miles from Georgetown U's campus?" As he has ignored every single question along these lines, I have to take the answer to be "No."Comments(Jump to bottom of comments)1

Here's a possible response when a GOP/candidate is asked about Fluke/Limbaugh. Rush Limbaugh is a media personality and not an elected official his words are his own. We will not be distracted from what the real agenda is and that's the erosion of Constitutional Rights one flawed law at time. Ms. Fluke puts forth the proposition that women like her, attending expressly religious institutions, have an inalienable right to contraception that trumps the institutions explicit constitutional rights to the free exercise of religion and would like nothing more than to have the awesome power of the government to command these institutions violate their conscience. Ms. Fluke and others who posit this are wrong in their belief, as no less an expert on the constitution, Thomas Jefferson said, "No provision in our Constitution ought to be dearer to man than that which protects the rights of conscience against the enterprise of civil authority." These usurpations will not be allowed to continue, we will fight them, as we are compelled to do. Next Question! A Statement from Rush March 03, 2012 For over 20 years, I have illustrated the absurd with absurdity, three hours a day, five days a week. In this instance, I chose the wrong words in my analogy of the situation. I did not mean a personal attack on Ms. Fluke. I think it is absolutely absurd that during these very serious political times, we are discussing personal sexual recreational activities before members of Congress. I personally do not agree that American citizens should pay for these social activities. What happened to personal responsibility and accountability? Where do we draw the line? If this is accepted as the norm, what will follow? Will we be debating if taxpayers should pay for new sneakers for all students that are interested in running to keep fit?In my monologue, I posited that it is not our business whatsoever to know what is going on in anyone's bedroom nor do I think it is a topic that should reach a Presidential level. My choice of words was not the best, and in the attempt to be humorous, I created a national stir. I sincerely apologize to Ms. Fluke for the insulting word choices. http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/ Posted by: Jose at March 03, 2012 05:17 PM (srIqv) 70

Because he asks good tough questions at times that it really matters and 60/40 is infinitely better than the rest of the media. He may not be ideal but he definitely doesn't toe the liberal line. Sandra Fluke is NOT the story. She is a distraction. She is in the news and an honest exposition of her views and their (ir)relevance could do some good. Haven't seen the report so don't know if Tapper totally failed in that respect. But to grill her, after a public perception that she has been treated unfairly would not have been productive. Maybe Tapper did what should have been done from the start, let her say what she wants and then we continue on, ignoring the irrelevance of her. Teresa, about those pills for health reasons ....
When I had my first appointment with a gynecologist at the tender age of 22 (health care after losing my virginity to a rapist) he had a conniption fit that I was not on the pill. I asked why I needed it. He said, "So you don't get pregnant." I said I knew what caused pregnancy and wasn't doing any of that. He then said I needed it for health reasons -- my periods were too heavy. (He know nothing about my periods.) He harangued and harassed me about going on the pill even though I was abstinent. I was too young and naive to try switching doctors, but he about drove me crazy. I was seeing him to make sure I hadn't contracted a disease from the rapist, and the doctor only seemed to care about nagging me into using contraception. Boy that is a rough story. I don't think Rush should have apologized, but he probably had to for business reasons. Even though we know Bill Maher never apologized for calling Palin the C word. It's not fair, but it's also not the point.
I think it's plain to see that any reasonable voter out there will understand that birth control does not cost $1200 per year. If it's true, as the democRATs keep saying and the MFM keeps repeating, that 99% of women use birth control, then those women know the true cost of birth control. Knowing that, I don't think it's really possible for any reasonable voter to take this Fluke lady's statements seriously. Posted by: Not an Artist at March 03, 2012 05:50 PM (Lo/3Q) 148

This is the most made up story of all freakin time. I cannot stand the specious garbage coming out of peoples mouths. To claim its hard to obtain contraceptives or too expensive is a filthy fucking lie.
For these assholes in the media and the corruptocrats to frame this as a 'womens health' issue is an insult. A bad insult to people who are really suffering. I didn't get anything paid for, or for free when I had an actual medical emergency. Instead, I paid for everything myself while still having insurance and have lost nearly everything. Also, the self hating 'conservatives' who are going along with the media's storyline should be shunned forever, if not blacklisted for all time. Pathetic Insurance pays for a big portion of things.. you know, for emergencies. Its not for giving you free shit for sex romps. Insurance has become so perverted that we've got this slut demanding free shit and lying about the cost too. My auto insurance doesn't pay for new stereos or even oil changes, nor should it. To 'miss' Fluke, the 30 year old being presented as a 'kid', I tell you this: If I pay for my medications after life saving surgery, then you certainly have to pay for contraceptives. Its not a health issue. Close your legs. Also, go to hell, and target you lying bitch. Obama loves this story. So stop promoting it. He's shifting the story from a tyranical assault on religious liberty, to a "womens health issue". STOP IT NOW Posted by: What a Bastard at March 03, 2012 05:56 PM (u4/vX) 153

Shiggz, like I said, I was young and naive. If I could go back in time, knowing what I know now, things would have turned out very differently. Sorry to share a rough story, but I think a lot of people accept the left's portrayal of how a woman might feel after rape, so I feel I should share my experience. I can tell you that the trauma of rape is not mitigated by killing an innocent person (the baby) in response. And I'm fine now. I was only a rape victim for a little while.
