Because he asks good tough questions at times that it really matters and 60/40 is infinitely better than the rest of the media. He may not be ideal but he definitely doesn't toe the liberal line.
Sandra Fluke is NOT the story. She is a distraction. She is in the news and an honest exposition of her views and their (ir)relevance could do some good. Haven't seen the report so don't know if Tapper totally failed in that respect. But to grill her, after a public perception that she has been treated unfairly would not have been productive. Maybe Tapper did what should have been done from the start, let her say what she wants and then we continue on, ignoring the irrelevance of her.

When I had my first appointment with a gynecologist at the tender age of 22 (health care after losing my virginity to a rapist) he had a conniption fit that I was not on the pill. I asked why I needed it. He said, "So you don't get pregnant." I said I knew what caused pregnancy and wasn't doing any of that. He then said I needed it for health reasons -- my periods were too heavy. (He know nothing about my periods.) He harangued and harassed me about going on the pill even though I was abstinent. I was too young and naive to try switching doctors, but he about drove me crazy. I was seeing him to make sure I hadn't contracted a disease from the rapist, and the doctor only seemed to care about nagging me into using contraception.

Since then, I have learned that it is standard practice to put girls on birth control pills shortly after they hit puberty, often supposedly for "health reasons."
So it isn't really that weird that so many women are in that position.

Boy that is a rough story. I get that doctors are bad listeners because of the combination of them knowing more and that most of the people they talk to are rambling and/or lying to them... but to your doctor I would yell, "cmon its obviously a real rape situation.. simmer down and fuckin listen!"

I think it's plain to see that any reasonable voter out there will understand that birth control does not cost $1200 per year. If it's true, as the democRATs keep saying and the MFM keeps repeating, that 99% of women use birth control, then those women know the true cost of birth control. Knowing that, I don't think it's really possible for any reasonable voter to take this Fluke lady's statements seriously.

If I could go back in time, knowing what I know now, things would have turned out very differently.
Sorry to share a rough story, but I think a lot of people accept the left's portrayal of how a woman might feel after rape, so I feel I should share my experience. I can tell you that the trauma of rape is not mitigated by killing an innocent person (the baby) in response.
And I'm fine now. I was only a rape victim for a little while.

Yes, when you go on the Pill the Dr. Blathers on about clear skin, regular Period, less cramping, etc... Then, you hit 38 or so and suddenly out of nowhere they let you know that you need to be taken off said miracle Pill due to increased risk of Stroke, Heart Disease, and Blood Clots.
But The Right hates women and wants them to die.
