Aetna: Premiums Will Go Up Because of ObamaCare

You knew this and I knew this and the vast majority of voters knew this. Now health insurers are saying it out loud.

Jim Geraghty spotted it in an interview with Aetna's CEO:

Will insurance premiums go up?
The answer is yes, and some of the things that will drive those premiums are significant additional taxes the industry will ultimately have to pay in the first year.

The President said that this bill would not have any impact on people who already had coverage, that it was about the uninsured, that there would be no change. Will this legislation change the coverage of people who are already paying for it?
My perception is, yes, things will change. You might not have a plan that includes the exact same doctors. You might have plans that have richer benefits, and therefore you're going to pay more for benefits you may or may not want. It would have been a better message to say, we're going to make certain you maintain your eligibility.

Watch out, Mr. CEO man, I'm sure Waxman and Stupak will be happy to add you to their list of people to mock, slander, and abuse at their congressional "investigation" next week.

1. First none of them had read the bill, therefore they couldn't say what was in it without lying.

2. They promised 30 million new insured and coverage for preexisting conditions without increasing costs. In fact they promised costs would go DOWN! Can you say not only did they violate the laws of physics by creating a perpetual motion machine, but their machine generates energy as it runs!

3. You can keep your policy even as we force insurance companies out of business and penalize your employer for covering you.

That is just a few of the big things. Nutbag Kacinich didn't switch his vote because he thought this bill was too mild. He switched his vote because OBama went over step by step how all the promsies were lies and the entire thing was a smokescreen to nationalize health care and raise taxes.

Some of these changes are really going to hurt colleges and universities which will, of course, result in higher tuitions. Another unintended consequence.

Although, since Obama is now in charge of student loans, let the good times roll. Increases in government aid are, in part, what have led to higher tuitions. Students no longer have to worry about paying it all back now...and the university still gets their money from the government...sweet!

87 Use their own propaganda against them. Obama told us that we'd all get a $2,500 discount on our policys. Don't tell them they lie. no no.
Confront them and ask them for the money we were promised. At town halls, or (hello 'reporters') press conferences. Remember... we were called racists and bigots for saying Obama was lying about this..
Throw it back in their faces... with maximum awkwardness.. hehe.. get an old grandma whos on welfare to use a sob story while confronting one of these fools.
These people are the enemy. There is no such thing as honest debate thanks to them.

89 Just what I've been wondering. Why the $%#* is
this stuff just coming out now. Had the same question about John Deere,
Caterpiller, etc. tax problems. These people had to know. Why were they
not working against the bill? What the heck is up?

From the Am Spec link at 78...

"Most of these people [in the Administration] have never
had a real job in their lives. They don't understand a thing
about business, and that includes the President," says a senior
lobbyist for one of the companies that announced the charge. "My
CEO sat with the President over lunch with two other CEOs, and
each of them tried to explain to the President what this bill
would do to our companies and the economy in general. First the
President didn't understand what they were talking about. Then he
basically told my boss he was lying. Frankly my boss was
embarrassed for him; he clearly had not been briefed and didn't
know what was in the bill."

90 If you want to transport your vehicle from one country to another, you will likely need to enlist the aid of an international shipping company. These companies will be able to help walk you through the process of shipping autos or cars from your home country to a new country. Many different companies are available, and you will want to choose the one that is best suited for your needs. Technology Living Space Technology Education Highways Movie Chat
When you search for a company, you will need to ask them several things. First, ask how the vehicle will be shipped, whether it will be in the open or in a closed container. When shipping autos or cars in the open, they are subject to more types of damage and inclement weather. If you are going to ship an expensive vehicle, you will want to choose a company that offers enclosed shipping.
