Tucker Carlson: The Media Figures Who Pushed This Soon-to-be-Disproved Sham Collusion Conspiracy Theory Should be "Punished"
Mollie Hemingway on Tucker Now

This is from last night. It applies with even more force today.

Now, by "punished," he does not mean "indicted," as he clarifies. He means "publicly shamed" and "forced to apologize."

I normally wouldn't even agree with that... except I remember the left demanding "accountability" from pundits who made erroneous claims and false predictions about the Iraq War. And there was a lot of that in the media.

So: Should conspiracy theorists pushing a falsehood that undermines trust in the US democratic system be similarly required to come to a reckoning?

Answer: No. They control the message, and that means they control the questions that may be asked, and the criticisms that may be lodged.

You don't have to respond to a question or criticism you've suppressed so much that the half of the country you depend on for support never even hears of it.

Carlson also asks, rhetorically: If people on the right had claimed, without evidence, that Barack Obama was colluding with Iran for three years, would they be allowed on any media platform?

He says that's rhetorical. They wouldn't be -- unless they offered a groveling apology to King Barky the Wonderdog.

Definitely watch the opening of last night's show.

Take care! Have a nice weekend!

90 minutes away from entering the official Day 7 of the fast, and no problems!

Oh, and it's weird to put up Tucker from last night when you're probably watching Tucker now -- and Mollie's on now. But check this vid out later, just the first 8-10 minutes.

Can We Stop This Avenue of Conspiracy Theorycrafting Now?

When Fusion Ken says your conspiracy theory is wrong, it's wrong.

BTW: Someone on Fox pointed out that James Comey seemed to have advanced word of this report today. I think Harris Faulkner. Just sayin'.

124 Said it before, say it again:

1) Thank Mueller and Rosenstein for their work.

2) Fire every fuck on Mueller's staff.

3) Pardon everyone indicted for every single crime that was based solely on "lying" or "obstruction" or the Logan act. Say, since there was never any underlying crime, it was inappropriate to charge anyone with these crimes. Papadopolis walks. Flynn walks. Stone walks.

4) Leave all other charges standing Manafort and Cohen go down. Leave the joke Russian charges in place.

5) Open an investigation of Fusion, carefully selected FBI assholes (McCarthy most of all), and the Hillary campaign consorting with Russians. Indict Comey for leaking and lying. There should be ample evidence to bring indictments based on what Mueller found. Indict them for all the same shit the Dems claimed Trump did.

6) When the Dems piss and groan simply say "I thought you wanted to get to the bottom of Russian collusion? This is the bottom. They paid Russians to dig up dirt on someone running for president, they received disinformation form Russian intelligence, and worked hard to disseminate that information to the world. These were the people behind it from the start.

You take a shot at the king, you better not miss. Any other Republican would be mopping his brow at the close miss. Trump needs to make examples of these shit bags so it never happens again.

194 Grammie, I hope you've gotten second and third opinions. We just had dinner with a friend who had a failed cataract surgery. His eye was a hot mess.

I had a personal disaster 11 years ago that involved me passing out after peeing in the middle of the night. Woke up head down in our whirlpool tub. The orbit around my right eye was literally crushed in two places, and my right cheekbone was broken. And I had a cut just below the corner of my right eye that went to the bone.

It took two years (and plastic surgery for the deep cut down to my cheekbone), but I'm good as new now.

Prayers that you end up fully healed.

Two devastatingly negative things arise from it all, even before all/much of the accounting is done. The extent, and nature, of the corruption in America's most powerful and important national institutions. And the shockingly low quality (intellect, character) of so many senior people in those institutions.

I'm a good bit of litmus paper. Spent decades in the Beltway, gradually/suddenly was appalled at the mediocrity of so many who went so high. Left with a very low assessment of the situation. And this has taken my previous assessment much, much, much lower than it already was.

But for Godfather-like story majesty, the two novels (The Gold Coast, 1990, and The Gate House, 200 spoken by the same character, the setting the old Long Island estate, the mob boss and his son, now that was some fine writing.

293 244 Doesn't fasting slow down your metabolism though?
Posted by: votermom certified russian matryoshka bot at March 22, 2019 08:57 PM

I've read about studies that found calorie restriction slows down metabolism but fasting speeds it up.

In fact, after calorie restriction, it's difficult to regain the former metabolism. They measured metabolism of "The Greatest Loser" contestants, who all regained their weight (except one person who followed up with gastric surgery) and found their metabolisms had slowed significantly and did not seem to be recovering.

Fasting signals the body to speed up metabolism in order to provide energy for hunting/foraging. Also, once the fat-burning starts, the body has plenty of energy as long as there are fat stores.

The prep is obviously the worst thing.

I laughed and cringed, especially the part about this:

"MoviPrep is a nuclear laxative. I don't want to be too graphic, here, but: Have you ever seen a space shuttle launch? This is pretty much the MoviPrep experience, with you as the shuttle. There are times when you wish the commode had a seat belt. You spend several hours pretty much confined to the bathroom, spurting violently. You eliminate everything. And then, when you figure you must be totally empty, you have to drink another liter of MoviPrep, at which point, as far as I can tell, your bowels travel into the future and start eliminating food that you have not even eaten yet."

This. Especially the part about enjoying your time. We are given a finite amount of time on this world, and thus a finite number of meals. Every meal you give up to fasting? You're not going to get back. And being thin will never feel as good as those missing meals would have tasted, especially if you know how to cook.

Give up on (or greatly reduce consumption of, anyway) Cheetos, white bread, pasta? Sure. But not on eating.

418 ace, the problem will be at the NY state level.

If neither Mueller nor SDNY Federal prosecutors indict, they don't have to pass a bill before bringing Trump and his family into a NY kangaroo court.

"Presidential pardons only apply to federal crimes, but current New York law keeps district attorneys from bringing similar state charges if a president pardons someone for a particular crime.

The bill, written by Attorney General Letitia James' office, would change that."
