Your basic range of motion stuff right now. Just creeping into some strengthening via the bands. I actually had acupuncture and cupping done on Fri in an attempt to try and loosen the muscles and reduce pain. I haven't noticed any change in range of motion, but the pain is some reduced.
Btw, cupping sucks. It hurts like hell and my upper back looks FUUUUUUCKED up. Feels not so great either.

The reason police departments have quotas for cops writing tickets is that the money does go into the city's coffers. Any governor that wants to mess with that would have to come up with an alternative revenue stream for cities. Like taxes. So, nobody who wants to win is going to do that.

Okay, supposedly everyone is saying that, 30 years into a 120-year-long hibernation trip, Chris Pratt *and* Jennifer Lawrence awaken and fall in love.
Actually as it turns out, Chris wakes up 90 years early, realizes he's destined to die before the trip is over, and in terrible loneliness/desperation after a few years... awakens Jennifer Lawrence's character.
And, it turns out: Chris Pratt's character *chooses* JL to awaken, because he gets a crush on her based on her character's journalism work, as well as her looks.

I watched it again on TMC last night, the nuance is marvellous. Well deserved Best Picture win.
The Longest Day was mentioned earlier, an I concur. Definitely not bloody....
The Battle of Britain from 1969 would be good too. Not overly graphic, but you'll want to skip Bill Foxley scene.....he's the burned pilot. Kids should see the COST, but in this day an age you'd lose your job.
Mr. Foley was a member of the Guinea Pig Club.....those fellows were testament to the power of the Human Spirit to adapt an overcome.

As long as you don't expect much it's fine. I suspect it is going to age horribly though as it has too much "I want to be like these other loved superhero movies" rather than "I'm the bad guy, take a chance and watch me go" to it.
Plus I'm not certain Will Smith knows what his character is supposed to be in any given scene- I like him as an actor and even with that tinge to the glasses his performance seemed muddled.
But still, better than Dawn of Justice so it cleared that pathetic bar.

Then, use a fairly aggressive wood rasp, to SLOWLY draw along the scribed lines, till you've really established a groove deep enough to hold a finer file within the groove's own confines. It'll still need to be a fairly coarse file, but not as coarse as a rasp.
When you're near the final dimensions, switch to a finer file, and go for smoothness and evenness of surface.
Finally, wrap that smooth file with sandpaper, working down grits from 150/220/400.
That should get you some good work, and the files will let you CONTROL your work, going slowly enough to be very accurate, indeed.
The family of wood chisels, gouges and the like, are too easy to take a bit too far, make a hideous over-run or too-deep cut.
Or worse, slip and cut'cher own damn self.
For this one, barring a router or Dremel via a good jig... go with the files.
It'll seem like it's going slow, but you'll be amazed at how quickly it actually moves along, once you get into a rhythm.

One thing it should have covered more, but only mentioned. The homeowners who suffer a hailstorm, but then don't claim damage, cause it's "not leaking".
I've seen literally, hundreds of such roofs that started leaking a year later. That medium sized hail damage severely compromises the shingles, and highly accelerated wear and a shortened service life, result.
They should ALWAYS get a qualified roofer to inspect the roof after a hailstorm.
I've told a few dozen homeowners; "no real damage, let's look at it annually from now on."
If there's not claimable damage, why would I want to waste my time? But, it often happens that you can only SEE the damage, when standing right over the given shingle in question. And you can't see that kind of damage from the sidewalk. You just, can NOT.
The hard part is finding a reputable, ethical roofing professional, in a sea of storm-chasing shingle carneys.
Homework and due diligence are vital elements of the homeowner's decision process, there!

If it is real cold out, well below freezing, leave the car outside, and the salty slush will freeze. Frozen, it can't act on the steel of the car body. Put it in a heated garage, and the salty slush can work all night long.

I've been on the property side, and my stance was "convince me". Sometimes they did, sometimes they didn't -- and, many times, things made it into the bid package for the next go-round.

AOP- we've gotten a lot of woodpecker damage on our wood plank siding at the mountain place, I've wondered about replacing it with HardiBoard. Did you use pre-colored or stainable? Is it pretty spendy? I like the idea of glue & screw, but not sure it would be necessary for our application. I've heard it is an effective anti-woodpecker option.

Slogged into work. Yikes. Roving bands of Visigoths and Angles were loose in toys leaving behind them empty shelves and despair amid the wailing of children.
We sold a 20ga single shot to this guy, the vibe he gave was Mongolian redneck, to be a present for his girlfriend. Then he said he still needed to shop after purchase so had to lock the weapon back up until he was done. So about an hour later had to call a manager back over because dude was finally done shopping. Managed to perform a little cleaning and straightening but still looked like a storm had gone through.
Then as I was heading to turn in keys and clock out, got intercepted to handle a Site to Store pick-up. Site to Store closed at 10 and this guy claimed he had been there since before. Well dirty little secret Wal-Mart lets you slide out a little before your official clock out time so everyone in Site to Store had already hoofed it. So pulled up the order and then a snag and a WTF. It was an expensive electronics item that should be in the secure room, instead it was in a normal bin under a padlock. Then it took about ten minutes for a manager to find the right key and then finally gave to the customer his package. So managed to clock out 19 minutes after I was supposed to.
Thank goodness I have Sunday off. I still need to recover.

--Weird, up through three winters ago I could relate many snow stories, especially since 2013/14 was a brutal winter even for the Great White North. Since I moved to the other border, ain't shit to comment about winter except here it's easily the most pleasant time of year. I can wear shorts in December and January, and when it's sunny the car is warmed up pleasantly when I return from work or an errand.

The stuff I got is about 7/16" thick, and has fake raised-grain "planks" molded into it. There is a tan glazed finish on it, but the instructions say to caulk the seams, and paint the surface within six months of erecting the wall.
It soaks up paint like a sponge. I figure 3 coats of exterior latex is the least you can get away with.
OK, what I am using is not Hardi-board. It's Sturdy Panel, made by Collins Products, www.TruWoodSiding.com I think I paid about $18 per sheet. It's compressed wood fiber, and some sort of resin binder. Very heavy.

Toys at Christmas can be a nightmare...though if your store is like the ones here at least you don't have to spend a lot of time straightening up the Lego section.
Then again I got called in two weeks ago in my job as we had to ask someone to leave and both the other manager and director were unavailable. Work can be such a joy. :/

Thanks for the car washing input. Were it up to me we would park it outside but the powers that be do not like getting into a cold car in the morning. hard to argue since she is petite petite and dislikes anything below 75.
we park it in a heated garage and there is a car wash area so I have been hosing it off when we get home and washing it when the slop (snert?) dries up.
you were right, if I park it inside with out hosing it off I feel as if it is sitting there rusting and not hosing it off seems lazy.

Sounds like a Hardi Board type product, could be comparable. We've got a pretty sizable sq footage to cover, so rather than laying out a big chunk of money all at once I have considered replacing one side at a time, taking care of the worst areas first. Just wondering if I can get the color to come anywhere matching the existing siding.

Hardi-board is fiber cement, Sturdi Panel is an "engineered wood product". Cement resin in it is not urea-formaldehyde. Surface is quite hard; sometimes it takes quite a bit of doing to get a screw to start.

AOP- we've gotten a lot of woodpecker damage on our wood plank siding at the mountain place, I've wondered about replacing it with HardiBoard. Did you use pre-colored or stainable? Is it pretty spendy? I like the idea of glue & screw, but not sure it would be necessary for our application. I've heard it is an effective anti-woodpecker option.

The Hardiboard has about a 50 year life, the other wood siding about 30 years. We replaced ours 3 years ago with the Hardiboard, and it was the best decision that we made.
If you are having woodpecker problems, you will probably also be replacing a lot more than just the siding. We had the same problem when it happened and we had a some of the underlying sheeting have to be replaced.
Of course, that is when we found out that the contractor that added the addition on to our house used a lot of materials that were subpar instead of the better quality that he swore he used and that we had the invoices he provided saying that is what he used. When the siding was removed, there was the cheap shit.

IMHO, felt pacs are great for standing around, or working outside where extensive walking is not required. They are ill-suited to long hikes; don't provide enough support.

I watched the fourth quarter, and part of the third, of the Jets-Dolphins game at the bar while having supper. Jets offense stayed in the hangar, I think, but their defense got it together in the fourth quarter, and stopped Miami from running up the score more than they had already done.
Game ended when Jets QB threw an interception to the end zone.

I left a liter plastic bottle of ethylene glycol antifreeze outside one night when the temperature dropped to -35 deg C. (the scales cross at -40). It was frozen so hard, you could have used the bottle to drive nails. Glycol ice is much tougher stuff than water ice.

That DUI rate for SC is way low. It costs about $1500/yr extra on first offense. You don't have to worry for a year on second offense because no license.
And insurance in SC is already way high with no DUI.

I later found out the "real reason". SC insurance rates are regulated by an "insurance board". Guess who is on the insurance board. Insurance company executives.

Yes, there are a LOT of uninsured drivers here simply because the rates are so high. But the State Patrol is supposed to send for your license and tags if you drop your insurance so I don't know how that works.

We both had given them this information multiple times. So they are either lying or incompetent. She will be going to see our agent Monday. I told her to tell them that if they drop the insurance on her car they can consider the insurance on the other two vehicles and the house to be dropped too because we will seek another company.

When my two kids were toddlers, we'd often visit the sculpture garden. I taught them that this amazing nude was actually a sculpture of their mommy, and they'd delightedly run up to it yelling "Mommy! Mommy!" and give it hugs.
