Just to be fair, the book has received scathing reviews by humanitarians who have made a career out of distributing humanitarian aid to desperate starving people. It is interesting to see the positive reviews about similar muckraking books pointing out the corrupting influence of federal money in the giant military-industrial-aerospace-government complex.
I'm beginning to fear the whole Declaration of Independence and the myth of an Ideal Utopia of freedom and liberty was a fraud from the very first rifle shot.

So if congress appropriates the money, the president has to spend it on what congress wants the money spent on.

.Most Charities morph over time into something their founders would abhor. The latest one is Wounded Warriors. That used to be the go to Charity for myself and the wife along with our VFW. Not any longer as they spend more $$$ on conferences, parties, executive salaries and hotels than they spend on the wounded troops now. It's sad really. They spend over $2 million a year on salaries for their top ten people.

Last night, I get the news that it would be morally wrong for a purported friend to attend my wedding. This, the woman who had me sing at her wedding last June, cutting four days out of the first vacation I'd had in 10 years (and the last I'll get for the next 5 years).
Left my sweetheart behind, paid all my own expenses, rehearsed before dawn, bought a new (suitably modest) dress and wore the incredibly slutty makeup that the occasion demanded, sang songs I did not believe (a heinous sin in my reckoning), helped her mask my infidel status, zipped my lip on all things atheist and lesbian, bought a gift I really couldn't afford, danced with her goofball brothers and distracted the pastor with a lengthy discussion of soteriology when he seemed likely to throw a wet blanket over the reception. (That part might have been a highlight of the event, as doctrine I remembered from when I was 10 seemed to wrap the poor man's brain in knots. He knew I was wrong, but couldn't understand why his kung-fu wasn't laying me out on the floor in tears.)
I'm not sure why I imagined I wouldn't get schlonged in the end, but this is definitely the last, last, last, last straw.
My only solace is that President Trump will repay the Christians for their endorsements, good and hard.

The 50 states are divided into four groups of 12, randomly or geographically balanced.
Presidential primary voting occurs in five waves at, oh say, 3-4 week intervals in Feb-Apr of the election year. All 12 states in each group vote on the same day.
Each election cycle the order of voting among the five groups rotates so that every four presidential cycles any given state gets a chance to be "first in the nation"
In case you bothered to do the math, the two remaining states, Iowa and New Hampshire get to vote in May, for the next 100 years anyway.

The problem with that is at least of couple of the new "states" would have Democrat voting Houston and Dallas dominating the population totals which would lead to 4 new Dem senators, maybe even 6 with south Texas/San Antonio. So as a native and current resident Texan I vote no. All us hicks in the boonies already have enough trouble with Dallas/Houston/San Antonio. We have to regularly threaten to cut off their water to keep them in line.

Farmers are getting much older on average, because it's hard work, long hours for most, with no guarantees or pensions at 55. The AVERAGE farmer is now 58. Go to the cities instead, where the big money really lives.
National Review says ethanol should be the litmus test, not illegal immigration, or TPP, or eagerness for war, of course. Even Cruz says he'd phase it out over a decade, but the idea is to have much better production by then. But never mind that, ethanol (a small issue really) has become HUUUGE as the litmus test. Not trade or immigration which are the killers, but even here with allegedly smart people, Ethanol Hate consumes people.
Stopping and reversing the flow of the third world labor (and its socialist and criminal side effects) is the real priority. The TPP bad deals rank right up there, where sovereign control is lost and we will only get a vote among partner nations, and more power is transferred to global authority. But sure, prove how pure a conservative you are by ranting about ethanol and those damn farmers.
The 10% ethanol system is established, they should just keep it at that, make non-ethanol more available at a little premium for small engines. But while ethanol has lobbyists, the real undue influence comes from the big cities and the corrupt in NYC/DC, not from the red rural parts of the big red/blue map.

The experimental means is the mystical knowledge of God whereby we come to know God through love. It is similar to where you get to know someone from correspondence (faith) and then get to know them when you meet them in person (experimental).

That article, despite the headline, only offers anecdotal evidence that Clinton's caucus staff is from out of town/state which is actually a hopeful sign (for us) as it means volunteers are staying away from her in droves. I noticed the same thing with Cantor i the primary where he was booted. I was a poll volunteer for Dave Brat and the person working the poll for Cantor was a paid member of his Washington D.C. office staff.

yeah I saw that. That is a terrific video. Cruz isn't condescending or arrogant at all, he's speaking to the "dumb old farmer" (the farmer's description of himself) with humility and as an equal. It is quite good to see.

Given his gloriously beautiful illustrations for The Bible, Dante's Infernoand Milton's Paradise Lost, I'm inclined to agree. I would change my routines were I you (park a street away, start sneaking out a side door when you leave and through your garbage away in the local grocery's dumpster, for instance).
