As a Jew, Brooklynite, vulgarian and someone relatively conversant in Yiddish, I have never heard the word "schlong" used as a verb. It's a noun.

That said, I was kind of shocked, not so much by Trump but by the reference to Geraldine Ferraro.

When did this become a word? The world wants to know . . .

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I grew up in a very jewish area outside of Philly. We used Yiddish words in our English at least as much as anyone. We were familiar with Yiddish theater, Yiddish songs and the the anglicized aspects of Yiddish. My friends used Yiddish words liberally in our English and we all cursed quite a bit. I spent about ten years living in Manhattan on the upper west side ... and I have never in my life heard "schlong" used as a verb. NEVER. Never ever ever.

42 Trump's proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the country until we come up with a better screening process.

And people are generally ignoring the temporary part. And normally I would think that was the lack of attention to detail of low information voters. But even LIV can think "until we come up with a better process" is something that isn't going to happen. They think the word temporary is some kind of hand-waving. A lot of people assume that if the federal government had a better process, it would have happened already. I believe this is gross neglect but I don't know.

FYI If I thought that feeding the dead terrorists to pigs on live tv would dissuade a terror attack in the future, I would do it. Appealing to the better angels of future suicidal murderers will not prevent a single death.

I don't think that Trump will be the next president, which is why I find his campaign more amusing than most people.

It's not going to be Cruz, either. The Establishment would only back him for the nomination to unseat Trump, then make a half-assed effort like they did for the Romney campaign so they could go "oh darn, we lost, another 4-8 years of not having to do anything and keep collecting huge paychecks."

He won't have the funding to run a winning campaign, because the people doing the funding would rather have a Hillary presidency than a Cruz presidency.

Just as a reminder, when AIDS was first identified, the right and proper thing that should have been done was to quarantine those already infected until a treatment could be created and more importantly to stop the spread of the disease. The responsible scientists who proposed this became pariahs, and some threatened with physical violence.

The rest is history. Millions of needless deaths.

I know that serial killers don't lack a conscience, they are at war with it. Which means that their conscience is too strong to ignore. Someone who lacks a conscience might be a cold robot, but this would not prevent them from being a good person and benefit society.

The Christmas spirit is that hope
which tenaciously clings to the hearts of the faithful
and announces

and all the inn doors slammed in our faces
and all the dark nights of our souls
that with God all things still are possible,
that even now

What so many people don't get about Vulgar, Boorish, Crude, Blunt Donald is that he is also Telling The Truth about a lot of things that have been brushed aside under a coating of bs for so long that the rot is becoming .... problematic.

I am willing to tolerate quite a lot as long as I keep hearing Truth. It's been a thing in very short supply most of my lifetime.

I wonder if 14 is too young to read Levin's "Plunder and Deceit?"

You should make a deal with her. Read the entire book, be prepared to discuss it intelligently and if I see you read it and understood it, you give her some sort of monetary reward.

Or, just bribe her with praise; "Honey, I think you are mature enough and smart enough to read this and to gain some understanding, not about Trump, but as to my outlook on life and why you should be concerned for your future."

95 O.K. This made me laugh

FenelonSpouse is a school bus driver for nursery, elementary and middle schools kids. Some have brought FS cookies and candy and other gifts and I said, "Yes; You have to write out thank you notes' . There are like forty kids on each bus run and they handing him things without tags. FS is very appreciative but said to me, "This is a nightmare. Some of the little Indian kids look alike cause they are all the same size, they all have blue coats and have crew cuts and I only see them for a minute going in and out. How do I know which one gave me which present? (I said, "Do the best you can") FS said about one little one, "He gave me some home made cookies I can't read the writing it. Is it supposed to be "From Dwen"? Who names their keep 'Dwen?" I said, "Well, that rock star named his kid "Dwezeil?" "Yes, he replied. But that's a rock star." We finally figured out the kid's scrawl was "Owen" not" Dwen" FS went off in a Santa hat because I thought it would make someone laugh. I think he'll be glad when the day is over.

99 I played Saint's Row IV, so I know what a Trump presidency would look like. I hope you like purple.

But liberals won't know for fifty years that kharma had served them well. It would trade their empty-headed narcissist for ours. The divide would not be between smart-classy, and dumb-vulgar. Obama's only emotion for America is disgust. Trump loves NYC, which means he at least vaguely likes America. That's an essential upgrade.

But yeah, if the establishment hates Cruz more than Trump, then they are a parasite that will someday kill the host.

101 69 Family of 11 brit muslims denied entry to US for vacation at Disneyland. Brits pissed off.

What the guardian doesnt tell you is that 2 of the adult members of the 11 had undisclosed criminal records. And even though obama is in control some how it is Trump's fault. lol
__________________________

That article is hilarious. The Obama administration refuses a visa to a group of British Muslims -- and that proves how dangerous it is to elect Islamophobes like Donald Trump! Trump has never been elected to anything, and yet look at all these horribly discriminatory policies he has already put in operation!

Also, when Norwegian Air refuses to refund the airfare of British citizens, that too is the fault of the U.S. government, which is run by that hateful Islamophobe Donald Trump!

Also, everybody on the planet has the unconditional right to enter the U.S. so that they can go to Disneyland, and it doesn't matter if they are criminals, terrorists, contagious-disease carriers, or whatever. The U.S. has no right to deny any foreigner the right to see Mickey Mouse and Elsa in person!

Milady and I were both awake at 5:30, and she said, if we both get up now, we could make it down to Tulsa (for the Cruz Christmas concert) by 9am. I got up. She went back to sleep. We probably aren't going to make it.

176 BourbonChicken: Trump's proposed temporary ban on Muslims entering the country until we come up with a better screening process....

FWIW, I ran across this little item yesterday:

Islam Banned in USA in 1952

The Immigration and Nationality Act passed June 27, 1952 revised the laws relating to immigration, naturalization, and nationality for the United States. That act, which became Public Law 414, established both the law and the intent of Congress regarding the immigration of Aliens to the US and remains in effect today. Among the many issues it covers, one in particular, found in Chapter 2 Section 212, is the prohibition of entry to the US if the Alien belongs to an organization seeking to overthrow the government of the United States by "force, violence, or other unconstitutional means." This, by its very definition, rules out Islamic immigration to the United States, but this law is being ignored by the White House...

177 WaPo has some suck-up story about Obama's Christian faith and how it is his inspiration for all he has tried to do for the country blah, blah, blah,,, Really puke-worthy stuff. Reporter managed to write a story about a mans supposed religions beliefs without producing a shred of evidence he has any. In fact, the slightest investigation would show his thin veneer of Christian faith is a cover for a deep well of big govt activism and social justice. I found the article somewhat awkward and forced especially it's timing, now that it is obvious after 7 years to any informed observer Obama has no serious religious beliefs. The MSM is still in love with Obama and will go to any lengths to protect him and his legacy.

Study shows those who had beliefs saw something beyond the grave, those who didn't, didn't. Seems in trauma we hallucinate what we are pre-programmed to see. Sort of how people in ancient times saw angels, but today see UFOs. (Sort of, roughly.)

Never trusted that such experiences were any kind of validation. Only one person I know of ever actually died and came back to talk about it. I trust him.

246 FenelonSpoke, Oh, certainly folks can have life-changing visions, regardless of how real the experience of a seeming afterlife vision. After all, just having a brush with mortality can do that.

The thing is, there's death and there's near-death. Nobody who is brought back to life actually died, by definition, so that's why I can't really put much stock in what their brain showed them during trauma. But, that one fellow who we know the Romans did a thorough job on making sure he was dead....

However, people who say this "There is no afterlife" are making an assumption with no evidence and they're just saying it to be pains in the backside to religious people....

Of course. Absolutely. (See Prager article I mentioned above.)

253 Regarding Schlonggate, if I remember correctly, Hillary and Obama had very similar delegate totals going into the 2008 convention. I forget who was actually ahead, but there were a large number of "super delegates" pledged to no one. Hillary being Establishment, those super delegates were supposed to all go to Hillary, putting her well over the top. They were her ace in the hole.

But the Establishment betrayed her, sending the super delegates to Obama.

So to make a schlong story short, Trump isn't implying anything regarding Hillary and Obama, but is referring to the behavior of the Establishment.

278 "That's Obama. Understand: the president is not refusing to associate terror with Islam out of political correctness. His delusion is ideological. It informs his every decision."

That's from the PJ Media Andrew McCarthy story.

But I think the verdict is still out, on whether he really believes the terror is not rooted in Islam. He recently reminded us that change is sometimes painful, or something like that. He encourages "get in their face", and stoked the "give them room to riot" policies.

Obama hates the white Christian capitalism, and is sympathetic to any he thinks feel oppressed by it, even Muslims that go jihad, it would seem. He made room for ISIS to riot, even when our military top brass told him of the slaughter that would occur if we left a power vacuum.

Obama of course won't say that Trayvon was right to attack Zimmerman, or that Brown's robbery and assault on an officer were righteous. But who can believe POTUS did not know the details, when bloggers could quickly find them? Obama chose thugs to be his martyrs and promoted them nationally, to the point of inciting violence.

Why assume Obama is in denial, when he has always lied his way to power? When he says to Christians "don't get on your high horse", and compares the terrorism to the Crusades, he is in effect admitting it is an Islamic movement. But he feels America is a colonialist Christian invader, and is sympatico with the Muslim invasion. He has deliberately given (radical) Islam room to riot in the ME and Africa, and now here, in calling off investigations.

It seems more likely Obama is just lying, not delusional.

If the GOP candidates had any balls, here's what they'd do instead of the pansy-assed "condemnations" they're currently vomiting:

- all WaPo press credentials immediately revoked;
- any WaPo reporter found at a candidate's event to be immediately ejected with extreme prejudice;
- no WaPo reporter to be given any access to the candidate until Telnaes and her editor are fired, without pensions.
- if these conditions are not met, make it very clear the WaPo will have absolutely no access to a GOP administration.

Look at it this way. A camera crew was there filming that shot, and probably ever round he's ever played. For the very FIRST TIME in seven years they have something to show.

From the amount of wind in that video he probably lined up about two feet off and the wind took the ball in.

326 I think .22 started becoming more available, then SB happened and it dried up again.

My belief is that a lot of people started reloading during the last scare, so that accounts for more completed cartridges on the shelf. Since you can't reload rimfire, well, you know.

But that's just my theory.

I can believe he didn't know the details. I've been involved in electronic communications for 35 years, but I recently had a problem with a slightly older woman who wasn't giving me the link to an article she wanted me to see. Turns out she didn't know how to cut & paste on her own computer.

Obama is ideological, not curious, not interested in the truth. He's spoon fed information, likely by "yes men" and fellow travelers to whom the narrative and the agenda are more important than truth. They will use or create a crisis to advance their goals rather than heal wounds.
