52 I had a crazy Theory of Conspiracy last night. What if Jeb is only in the race as a stalking horse for Rubio/Fiorino?

Think of it, the GOP-E puts in a candidate so repugnant, so opposite of what the base wants that they will be happy if anyone other than this candidate gets the nomination.

Meanwhile, they stealthily promote two candidates who agree with Jeb on just about everything, but have practiced conservative rhetoric just well enough so that when they are nominated, the base is like, "Well, at lest they're better than Jeb. I guess I could vote for them."

Later, Jeb becomes Rubio's Secretary of Education.

I could almost believe it except for one thing; there is no evidence that the Republican leadership is anywhere smart enough to pull this off.

He called out Rubio's stupidity in telegraphing his plans to the enemy and that Patton and MacArthur are spinning in their graves. He also smartly disagreed with Rubio for wanting to go to war with Russia when Russia is fighting ISIS. Amen. We should be supporting Assad because Assad is a moderate who is fighting ISIS, too. 97 No, I've heard this before: in that area at that

There's American-born people of working age that live in FL, all through the state. Even in South FL, believe it or not (my brother is one). There's almost definitely Americans within driving distance of any point in FL that could be doing that job. Most of the ones that would be interested in something as low paying as a hotel job are probably making more by scamming disability, housing benefits, and food stamps.

My conspiracy theory is that neither party wants to be President in 2017. If you look at how both parties are running the primary season, it's almost a game of both sides saying "We don't want it. Here you guys have it."

Wouldn't be surprised that the reason the RNC/GOP is fighting Trump isn't because he's not a "conservative" but they are afraid he might win. Which I get.

It will be bad enough with Boehner and McConnell taking point when stuff starts hitting fans and sticking to walls. The MSM will suddenly remember which party leads and has led both houses.

The two problems are interlocked. The welfare systems are an attractive nuisance, much like an un-fenced swimming pool. Neighborhood kids start wandering into it, and you pay the consequences
Fencing the swimming pool off helps, but anyone that's already in the yard has to be kicked out.

Getting rid of the pool also solves the problem.

167 Cape Cod is probably the "Reddest" part of MA. Most of the people who live there year round are salt-of-the-Earth seaside types. I can't think of another part of MA with as many US Flags displayed, or with all the Military Service Flags hanging from overpasses. The Kennedy's and P-town give the whole peninsula a bad name. Barnstable County went for Obama 55%-45% in 2012, which in MA is like a loss for a Dem.

That's a big one, but an artificially inflated supply of labor (brought to you by immigration) against a relatively inflexible demand does create a reduction in price per unit as well.

Main industry: Tourism (skiing, river rafting, hiking)

Service sector jobs: hotel workers, restaurant workers, construction

Worker pool: limited sized local population

Solution: Import cheap immigrant laborers from S.A. pay them minimum wage (or less if they are "off the books")

Housing?--> house them in taxpayer-subsidized section 8 apartments, trailers, cheap houses, but not in Aspen, mind you. Put them in barrios down-valley (from El Jebel to Glenwood Spgs), who knows how many to a room?

Transportation--> taxpayer-subsidized buses move the workers up valley for their work shifts, black smoke billowing in the pristine mountain air.

Healthcare--> taxpayer-funded Medicaid expansion.

The resort owners are laying a big chunk of the employee expenses off onto the taxpayer. Why would they want to stop illegal immigration?

215 "Oh, you mean like bicyclists? It's perfectly legal here for them to ride in the middle of the street at whatever pace they choose, and they still blow through stop signs."

We have issues in our row home community of narrow streets with people posting these "20 is Plenty" signs on their property "For the Children".
Cause after all, a child should be able to dart into the street from between cars with relative impunity for injury.

As a community, a County, and as a State, we insist that vehicles drive only on the streets, stop for pedestrians in crosswalks, and refrain from driving on sidewalks.

So far, it has worked pretty well. Not a single child has been struck while properly using crosswalks, or while walking on the sidewalk.

Plus, we look at the posted speed limit not as a required minimum, but as the maximum allowable speed under perfect driving conditions.

Some locations at some times, we go 25.
Sometimes, under some conditions, we do 10 or less.

But it's all about control of other peoples actions.
As the children ride bikes the wrong way in the middle of the road, ride their skateboards down the middle of the road, and just generally frolic in a free range environment without boundaries or parental guidelines.

217 I think large cities like NYC hold an appeal for ethnics and gays. For gays, living in a large, densely populated area increases the potential hook-up pool immensely. For ethnics, they get to concentrate in neighborhoods with their own kind, make more connections, and in many areas operate outside the laws of the dominant culture.
