On the South Trail. Used to be "The Inferno", 1/2 club and 1/2 titty bar. I never went to the club. I also guess shoes weren't required because I went there once to drink with a friend, a fight broke out and the barmaid cautioned me to be careful because of the broken glass on the floor.

Once you get a little out from downtown itself (a couple of miles):

The best sandwiches in town are at Beefy King, over on Bumby. Not open on Sundays, though.

Tijuana Flats is Tex-Mex, with a top-notch selection of hot sauces. Same general neighborhood as Beefy King.

44 Orlando was a magnificent town to an 18-20 year old me back in the late 80's, but I doubt a grown man would want to do all of that, too many opportunities for arrest. Thank god back in those days when you showed the police your green active duty ID they'd generally ride you to the base gate, drop you off and say "don't do that shit again."

The Orange Blossom Trail was a no go area, so of course we frequented it. I just googled my favorite show show place and of course all the news stories were exactly as you'd expect from a respectable strip joint.

The low light was seeing a guy jump in front of a train, that's very messy.

I think Cruz has made the correct (so far) calculation that Trump's brashness and celebrity status is a good thing to hitch one's wagon too.

I would be very happy to see Ted Cruz as his running mate and even more so as #2 in that administration.

Yep, you'd think the Europeans would have more sense. Look at Sweden's experience with welcoming in Muslim "refugees." Half of them still have no jobs and are living on welfare, years after arriving. 58% of all of Sweden's welfare payments go to "immigrants."

The U.S. numbers are even worse. The U.S. has taken in hundreds of thousands of middle-east immigrants and "refugees" over the past decade. Over 90% of them are still on food stamps; over 75% of them get all their medical care thru taxpayer-funded Medicaid; over 70% get other forms of welfare payments such as AFDC, SSI, etc.

Even aside from the fact that this new wave of "refugees" is over 70% male, and therefore represents a significant threat of importing future (or present) Islamo-terrorists, the economics of continuing to import large numbers of chronically-unemployable, chronically-welfare dependent foreigners makes absolutely no sense at all.

But don't dare point that out, or you'll be branded a raaaaacist and an Islamophobe and a h8ter!

As an American of Irish, German, French and Scots-Irish ancestry I am quite saddened by the loss of my "mother" countries. Their total lack of self-preservation as cultures completely baffles me.

Ireland may still yet resist the muslim onslaught, but I'm not optimistic. Been visiting Ireland since the 70's. From 100% Irish back then to cities filled with Eastern Europeans and muslims. Women in burkas pushing multiple babies around has become a way too common sight this past year in Dublin.

around twilight yesterday, upstate NY, saw approx 6 animals walking not bounding from a backyard towards a woods. they looked a lot like large fisher cats, except they were in a group not solitary, and all the same size so not a mom and kits either.

They were heading just north of a neighbor's chicken coop so i kinda want to let him know something is coming....

I'd suggest the Swordfish Grill, intersection of Edgewater and West Princeton St.

Also, Orlando is generally a good pizza town. Most any small, independent shop is going to be a decent, if not downright very good pizza.
