10 Planned Parenthood is but one of the many Democrat front groups funded by our tax money.

Once you realize that the federal government and beuracracy are run pretty much for the sole purpose of funneling money to Democrat cronies and affiliates all will become clear.

The mafia rackets got nothing on the government rackets.

13 With Billary losing ground with the white women, it's certainly a good thing the Democrats have been stockpiling the black and brown ones.
They might have to organize a few more runs from El Salvador and Guatemala, depending on if the white women support drops more.

Posted by: BignJames at August 04, 2015 09:11 AM (Eo86b)

17 With the Planned Parenthood BS, on top of the barbarity and inhumanity that the left (and many DC pols) insists is the hallmark of civilization, we are not only forced to support these savages with our tax dollars, we are forced to subsidize mainly Democrat political campaigns by virtue of the fact that they use our tax dollars as campaign contributions.

I just wonder how much money Kirk got.

All of the time the Dems were in control, the fucking Repubs couldn't do shit, but as soon as the Repubs are in control, the Dems manage to stop a vote on this?

Not only is DC shitting in our mouths and telling it is healthful oatmeal, they are rubbing our faces in what dribbles out of our mouths and calling it a beauty mask.

Enough. E fucking nuff.

See Milton Friedman for the entire story. The GDP was lower in 1941 than when FDR was elected. LOWER. Employment? LOWER.

FDR's socialist shit was the beginning of the downfall of this nation.

I think he still beats Jimmy Carter and Obama as the worst president evah.

Obama is working hard to beat him.

27 Good word, they tweak the stats and those Obamacare satisfaction numbers are still shit.
"Somewhat satisfied" ranges from "4-7" on a 10 pt. Likert scale.

I mean what the fuck?

That gives you 8-10 as satisfied.
And what 1-3 as "dissatisfied?" where is "somewhat dissatisfied" on that scale.

Someone failed their quantitative stats class. Hell I've only glanced at the topic and even I know converting a 10pt likert to what is effectively a 5 pt likert is a recipe for disaster falsification.

34 I'm carrying this over from the previous thread:

Did anyone see the commercial last night on Fox (network, not NEWS) for
Republicans? Not for a candidate - just the Republican Party in general.

OMG - it was embarrassing and pathetic. It put me in mind of the Christine O'Donnell commercial saying "I'm not a witch!"

It
was cringe worthy. Basically said, "We don't hate you! We love
everyone! We want everyone to succeed! Remember, we don't hate you!" It
was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

Damn.

98 I'm carrying this over from the previous thread:

Did anyone see the commercial last night on Fox (network, not NEWS) for
Republicans? Not for a candidate - just the Republican Party in general.

OMG - it was embarrassing and pathetic. It put me in mind of the Christine O'Donnell commercial saying "I'm not a witch!"

It
was cringe worthy. Basically said, "We don't hate you! We love
everyone! We want everyone to succeed! Remember, we don't hate you!" It
was the most bizarre thing I've ever seen.

Damn.

Oh, that's just a bit of log rolling for Jeb! from the Republican Party.

Jeb!'s campaign slogan is

"The Right to Rise!"

So, Compassionate Conservatism Part Deux.

ie. We don't hate you!

We want everyone to rise like yeasty bread.

And here's a bunch of new social programs to pander to you-

paid for by people who actually work and would like to rise themselves-

but hey, they don't need that money for their dreams.

And would probably use it on something we don't like.

So, Free Stuff!!!!

107 Wait, are you saying that the majority of Texans favored paying for tuition for illegal aliens? Yeah, Austin I can see, but not the rest of the state.

Yes.

The way the law is actually written and, as far as I know, administered, there is still positive support for it, in point of fact.

There are all kinds of jots, tittles, and curlicues which limit it- they have to have been here AND enrolled in public school (thanks, DC!) for X years, they have to have been getting decent grades (I don't remember the specifics, but better than flat Cs, I think), and so on and so forth.

Further, in TX, in-state tuition is not as big a hit on the budget as it can be in other states. The State doesn't pour just a ton of money (in relative terms) on the State-chartered Universities, so it's not costing the tax payer just a ton of money.

Now, there are lots of other negatives to the plan, but a lot of people in Texas have no real problem with in-state tuition for illegals who were brought over as minors.

If I were still on Team Maybe It Can Be Saved, I could support Jindal or Walker. I'm still not sure about Cruz.

Jindal and Walker have actual policy accomplishments- they've shown they can deliver on promises.

Cruz does not, and hasn't. He's apparently a brilliant lawyer, but he has no accomplishments as a legislator. Now, that's not his fault, necessarily, but it does make it harder to judge if he's just "talking the talk," or if - granted a real chance to make changes - he would also "walk the walk."

Without attempting to denigrate him, his policies, or his opinions, it is easy to be the firebrand yelling about how we should change everything when you know you're going to lose. That's exactly what Republicans did for the first 2 years under TFG. Once you have the ability to act on your promises, though, not making waves starts to look way more attractive.

This is too little too late.

I'm a socialist when it comes to power. Nuke plants are expensive because they take forever to license, the waste has been blocked by Harry Reid and the liability is in question.

For those reasons, I believe the government should own 500 identical reactors on federal sites throughout the country, eliminating the need for a "smart grid", dispersing power and guaranteeing energy no matter what.

Allow private power companies to tap into and distribute the electricity. If a steel mill or other factory is located basically next to the source, the power is almost free.

Instead of increasing social security and welfare, give power for air conditioning and heating.

Manufacturing in the U.S. would make a lot of sense with unlimited, free power.

172 The U.S. economy has been crippled by a financial crisis. The president's policies have limited the damage, but they were too cautious, and unemployment remains disastrously high.

Oh yeah, that's it. Barry didn't do enough. Well don't worry with his new energy plan what's left of the economy will be totally trashed.

173 61 You mean like *not* having the primary waste containment facility in the US shut down, forcing existing nuclear plants into costly and more risky methods of waste disposal?

They are not "disposing" of any high level waste. It is being stored on site.

174 In other news, I'm listening to a Company panel discussion out of the UK and some pantsuited bint just used the phrase "useless air-conditioning."

Come out to Indiana in August--or April, for fuck's sake--and tell us it's useless.

175 keep in mind there's a 1 in 4 chance God actually did make someone who wanted to marry and have a family with me, but his mother had other ideas.

Born in '71, but I think of it too. How many brilliant doctors didn't exist that could have put an end to ovarian cancer, that I might have mom here now? How many businessmen that could have given me better opportunities? How many inventors that could have improved my standard of living? Am I robbed of the love of my live? Best friends I never knew?

Fuck abortion, and may its proponents and practitioners rot in the worst of all hells for all eternity.

Florida boy here. I'll lock her in a shed in mid-July and we'll see just how useless she thinks AC is afterward.

I've noticed proggs assume every single baby they fail to kill will grow up to be a criminal deadbeat, and we think they could be amazing. I don't know what to do with that observation, though.

I think the Big Guy has got that covered. At least, that's pretty much what His Book says.

It's worldview. We see potential, they see liability. Funny how it reverses if they're 25 years old with a rap sheet the length of my arm.

182 Considering how many chances Hillary had to kick Bill to the curb, she might want to walk back that Tammy Wynette thing.

Despise me for not being a feminist? Well, back atcha, baby.
