EMT 7/18/15 - Breakin' Dallas, Electric Yahoo [krakatoa]

Another all night maintenance eating up my weekend.

I didn't exactly break it, but I didn't exactly put it back together right either.

I literally missed the last command of the procedure. Essentially the command that turned the system up for live traffic. In the end, it only cost me an hour.

I'd feel like the biggest idiot in the world, but then I go back and check TFG's record and realize I'm batting in the JV league when it comes to F'nSU. There is no maintenance window that will safely deal with bringing up Iran the bomb.

I am happy in my faith, happy that if things go well next week FenelonSpouse might have a new job; It would be part time but better than nothing and happy because the last church I served is taking our family to a show (lunch theatre) about music from the 60's. They're doing it as a thank you for my years of ministry with them. I think that's very nice.

No...idiots with paintball and airsoft guns can cause trouble.

Paintball and airsoft guns are to be transported either cased, boxed, or bagged. And never to be brandished/displayed in an area away from the playing area/field.

We sometimes will carry speedball/electronic markers from the car to the house in an assembled state, but those markers are hard to confuse with an actual weapon.

And idiots shooting at things with paintball guns and blaming the gun itself is like blaming shotguns for stop sign damage.

That was me. Mag Fed is a small segment, but it is gaining a following. The paintballs are literally fed from a magazine below, instead of a hopper above. The high pressure air tank is either a standard fat tank, or a 2" dia, 13 cu in tank. They have designed a collapsible AR style stock to fit around the small tank.

The result is a slim line, lightweight marker best suited for mil sim scenarios.

Yeh, I just googled images, and some of them look almost as realistic as the current line of airsoft guns.

Remember the big sci-fi/fantasy/anime con in NYC last year caused plenty of butt-hurt from the cosplay crowd when it cracked down on costume weapons.

I have always been of the camp who tries to explain to the younger cosplay crowd that people are freaking because well frankly you ARE freaking them out as you are dressing as say Mario or Hetalia characters at the mall and invading their comfort zone. All I get is either blank looks or whining. It does not seem to process through their brains that other people have views and feelings that need to be respected, all that matters is what they want.

Same here with the MilSim crowd.
Fortunately, most of them are aware of the realistic look, and the effect on people in a non-playing field environment.

Now, the clowns that were up in New York yesterday?
To me, that is outright trolling/provocation.

What was visible to the public, as shown in the photo provided every visible element necessary for one to assume an attack was about to take place.

Not a single clue was missing.

104 79 For those who have been looking at them, just received one of the Radom P-64's that Classic was offering.

I have the trifecta of 9x18s and while the p-64 is the most compact and a fine weapon it's the lest fun for me at the range compared to a Mak PM or CZ-82. May try one of the grips from Marschal (Marschalgrips.com) to see if it can reduce the recoil bite a bit.

Just got my 2nd Bulgarian Mak from AIM. Much better wear than the photo or description would have suggested. Wish I had jumped on board with these when they were $150 a pop mid 2000s.
