I'll be safe, riots tend to be in relatively small areas, especially in a place as spread out as St. Louis.
The key is to just stay on this side of the highway, know your exit routes in case things get hairy and keep an eye out for "lone wolves" (or roving groups of idiots) that stumble into your area.
I'll say this: I live in a surprisingly diverse area. Sure it's a majority white by a huge margin, so is the country. (The local elementary school is statistically more diverse than the nation. And I don't think that has to do with private schooling because the private school down the road isn't all that big.)
So I had to go to Aldi's last night to get some Milk and bread to tide us over until the end of the holidays.
I saw, whites, blacks, Hispanics, a few yarmulke wearing Jewish kids, all being perfectly polite. Carts colliding with "excuse me" being bandied about. Honestly, I didn't expect that, I expected tension, and anger. What there was was people just trying to get on with their day.

Also because, since their testimony is about what they saw, and decent lawyer would tell them to say, "I saw what I saw. They say I couldn't have seen what I saw, so maybe I'm mistaken- but I'm not a liar." And, poof, no conviction for perjury (unless dirt comes out that they're Republicans, maybe).
This is actually a tool of the Left which we need to remove. Since *at least* George W Bush (and really probably prior to that), the Left has been conflating "mistaken" or "wrong" with "lying." And they do it on purpose- because when Republicans protest "no, he wasn't lying, he was just wrong," then the Left knows that (at least with the LIVs and their Base) they can come out and say exactly the same thing the next time its one of their politicians being accused of lying.

There were various stages of my confusion with this case.
But one thing remained clear. From day 1 I told my wife "Eyewitness testimony in cop shootings is entirely useless."
It cuts both ways too. Cop supporters will always see an aggressive thug who had to be stopped. "Fuck the police" types will always see a wild and crazy cop on a execution spree.
They aren't "lying" in any sense (well some of them are, but that's a different point.) They just see what they want to see.
Sure occasionally you'll get someone who calls them as they see them, but that's rare. (And usually it's a cynical person who hates both cops and whoever got shot.)
In an ideal world the media would be noting this, because it's so flipping obvious. But apparently not worth reporting.

Well the one thing we do have going for this area is it's solidly middle to upper class. Yes the families in the apartments may be barely scraping by, but they scrape by. Which is more than I can say for some areas that are around here.
And those people know they live in a good area, and they work to stay here. When you cling to something like that it makes you less likely to tear it all down. When an area is somewhere you're just passing through, you're more inclined to burn it.

My problem with that theory is that everyone knew that's what the guard was there for. They'd been moved to the area specifically for that purpose, so why not just deploy them prior to the Grand Jury's announcement, and then they're there to "keep the peace" no matter what the decision is?
Honestly, it's exactly what I would have done, with an explanation of "Hey, when all this started there was rioting and looting. I fully expect everyone to be peaceful at this time, but it would be irresponsible of me, as Governor, to ignore the possibility of more violence."

Yeah, eating well changes things. The WWII stereotype Japanese was a small man. The Japanese I went to B-school with in the 80s averaged taller than me (6'1").
And if you are a 6'1" American, try visiting the Mayflower and imagine fitting into those bunks for a couple of months.

We have the lit deer, too.
They are pretty easy to put up (the strings I have) because they just go along the top of our iron fence to both sides of our drive. It's very pretty, although they eventually get buried in snow, but nice while it lasts.

Our legal system has been nurtured by the left and our society no longer has the balls to do what needs to be done to deal with people like that. Even if there are good officers out there who have the dignity to care about a civilized society and enforcement of the rule of law, they have little to back them up. The Wilson case never should have never even been presented to a grand jury.

The decline in avg American's height is pretty much entirely due to changes in the ethnic make-up of America.
The tallest people on the planet are germanic and slavic tribes. I think Denmark is current #1. The Balkans tend to be tall bastards, too. Importing the Irish and Italians didn't exactly boost our avg height either.
When America was the tallest was when it was mainly importing germanic tribes like the English, Germans, Scandis, etc.
Until we discover genetic engineering for height, America will never be the tallest again.

He does what I do, too, turns the turkey over.
I roast it breast down for an hour on 400, then turn it down to 250 for 2 more hours, then flip it (stuffed and all, it's not hard) and crank the oven up to 400 for one more hour or so, depending on the size of the bird (I check with instant read thermometer in the breast and under the thigh). Crispy all around. Juicy all around.

Yes, there are lots of wonderful people who volunteer at the soup kitchen on TG. However, as someone who's familiar with soup kitchens (as in regularly volunteering with one in the past) it's not on TG that they need help. Lots of people volunteer them. It's at other times of the year-particularly summer when they need help. It's the same with food pantries. The shelves are usually full during the holidays and during the summer the donations dwindle to nothing

One agent was struck in his shoulder and the other one was struck in the leg.Police said the shooting was not directly related to the Ferguson's protests.
However FBI officials say it is unclear if the shooting is linked to the shooting of a University City police officer on Monday.

Yeah, eating well changes things. The WWII stereotype Japanese was a small man. The Japanese I went to B-school with in the 80s averaged taller than me (6'1").

As I recall, the Japanese Army officers in WWII were on average, several inches shorter than their own troops. Turns out that almost all of the officer class attended the Jap military schools for children, which would starve the kids as part of the program of turning them into toughened savages. Also had the effect of stunting their growth.
