Siiiighhh....

Alright, damn it. Who do ya hafta blow know to get the little calendar thingy in your icon tray down on the bottom right?
I've looked every-freakin-where, calling it everything I can think of and I just can't seem to find a way to get it back.

In other (&*%$#@!!*&) computer related news....I ran everything I could, did all the maintenence shit I could find, got back online in a semi-normal manner and am able to post, read, do stuff...so I'm happy.
I'mina go clean something in the house now....
Tired of squintin' anyhow....
I'll be back later...
Peace.

2 In case I'm not too late again...you can get your clock back by right-clicking on the Start button. Then Taskbar on the Properties tab.

You're running either Windows98 or ME, right? I had ME and the clock used to gain, and so did a couple of other computers I knew of with Win98/ME. I had to get a new computer last year and it came with XP...I never have to adjust the time on it anymore.

I'm not clear on your post before that, if you want to get a shortcut to your Connect dialog box you could go into Network Connections in Control Panel and right-click on the thing, Send To> Desktop...I dunno why it won't come-up when you launch your browser or email but I dunno what you've got checked or unchecked in all the options. It sounds like your Earthlink connection stuff got turned-off somehow, but who needs it...

3 Shit. I read it wrong and wrote a dumbass comment.

I don't have the date showing, but when I mouse over the time a tooltip with the date pops up. To make the date show under the time I'd have to drag my system tray bigger.

And right-clicking on the system tray is same as right-clicking Start. Duh. And XP keeps time because it synchronizes once a month with microsoft.com or something...

4 Mr. Useless, you now have to change yer name. You are too cool. Mousing over my time gives me the date, too.
Bless you a thousand times for pointing that out...
