Holy shit, this horse...
It went better than "fine".
She didn't mind the western saddle, the bar bit, the trails, the stupid dog, the stream... she was really, really good. Of course, she was keyed up nearly the whole ride, but I relaxed about halfway through. I am simply amazed. "Brandy, you're a fine girl... (such a fine girl)What a gooood horse you will be..." I think she's gonna like it here just fine. Once again, and not for the last time...

Yeah, man... I was too.
She's used to an English saddle and a snaffle bit (now, why can't I say that without lisping?), yet she went right with the Western program.
We waited til the sun started to go down, so it wouldn't be so hot and so ended up riding thru the woods with only the half-moon for light and, except for wanting Action to go first a time or two, she did just great.
God did it again.
Gave me a truly wonderful, huge, four-footed friend.

Oooh, and don't forget Action, the QH. He's the oldest one we've got and he probably needs God's hand to keep him healthy with his advanced age (24) more than the rest...

(Truth be told, that's why I took the second race horse. If we have a "spare", Action will be fine. It was only after we gave Jessie to Craig that Storm dropped dead, soooo... I ain't doin' THAT again.)
