Okay, perpetual fuck-ups, I can really identify with....
And so, as I sit here and "watch" the game on the Yahoo homepage, I'm liking the stupid Eagles more and more.
I wish they would win, buuuut... it seems they're displaying the Joey Coyle "lovable loser" side of Philly, as opposed to the Rocky Balboa "winner against the odds" aura.
If the Big River is life, then the Eagles are me... my life. Pluggin' along, not the worst there is or ever was, occasionally pulling off cool little miracles, winning minor battles, but somehow always falling short of winning the war. We both also keep coming back for more, but still... it'd be nice if all of us could win it all a little more often.
A minute fifty five left in the game.... damn, I feel so bad for these boneheads. Feel bad for my Dad, too. Woulda been cool for him if they'd have won. Oh man... wonder what it's gonna be like a work tomorrow? Do what? 1:48 left and now it's 21-24!!!! Oh my hearts pounding again... I can't even begin to image actually watching the game. The stupid score changes on Yahoo are bad enough... Come on guys... youse gotta calm da fuck DOWN, get centered, RELAX, damn it and just fuckin' win this thing.That's all. Get centered, relax and win it. One TD... that's all. It's the first thing y'all did out there. Just do that again.... Ya's got a minute, forty-eight, which could be stretched into a half hour, if I know you guys, so quit fuckin' around and just get 'er done, already. Man... *takes deep breath and hooooolds* Aw fuck this. Gonna go look at the damned TV... Be right back... Aaaand... Joey Coyle it is. Ah well, at least they didn't get smeared. Now, hows about Dallas vs. the Iggles next year?
