Have a little irony... it's good for your blood.

Okay, so I spent the last three days on "the floor" of a restaurant, in uniform as a waitress, without making a dime in tips, right?
I go in today as sort of a "hostess assistant", more or less, dressed in regular clothes, hair down and all, and some guy slipped me a $2 tip because he thinks I got him seated quickly.
*snerk*
God is so funny that way, sometimes, ain't He?

Then, even MORE ironic was the Boss Lady today.

She got highly offended and totally pissed off at some guy who came in with a huge party, then got in her face because it took so long for his HERD to be seated. He used the word "goddamned", she said. She was HOT.

Then, a little later a party of 14 comes in. They were not white. She used the "n" word several times. I had a mild stroke when I heard her say it... the FIRST 10 times. THEN, just before the end of the shift, three more black ladies came in and she did it AGAIN.
I was just like,... "Whoaaaa, man..." I kept waiting for the wrong person to see her do it (she was mouthing it across the room and saying it under her breath) and for her to get stabbed or something.

Wow.

Get pissed because some guy says "goddamn", then turn around and say that. A million times....

Kinda puts that whole "no tips during training" into better perspective, huh?

Oh, so THESE are the kinda people I'm expecting to make sense.
My bad.

I mean, it's not like I don't say the word myself sometimes, but, first off, NEVER in a situation like that and second, I'm 9 times outta 10 talking about a white (trash) person. Plus, I call all my pure black kittens "Niglet" because I can't keep them straight who they are as individuals long enough to name them individual names... yet.
But, I don't mean anything by it.
Hell, y'all know how much I love my cats. Would I say anything I meant in an offensive manner to them?
No.

I'm not exactly sure what to think about this silliness at work, except that I need to "watch" BL (Boss Lady) a little and not get too emotionally invested with her, I think.

I still think she's a cool little woman, just a spark throwin' ball of energy and all, but that was kinda weird, at best, ya know?

Anyway... I hafta go to the store. Got menfolk around here waiting to be fed.
I just haaaad to get this outta my head, though.

Jim Morrison was more right than he ever knew.
People are strange...

Peace
