Well, hello....

How's everybody doing?

I'm fine... I guess. (If, indeed, I ever was...)
Got my car back... again.
Still have to change a tire on it, but other than that, IT IS DONE. Legal, fixed, stickered, insured, registered and washed.
Now, I just hafta clean out the carport.
*rolls eyes*
Oh, the devastation....

There's a dead Bird, a dead engine and shit from both spread out over hell's half acre out there. There won't be, though, after this weekend. I hope.

Okay, so what have I been doing? Hmmm...

Did a pretty funny post the other day that got et. It wasn't Pixy or MT's doing, it was my machine. Gave me one of the blue "error" screens of death right in the middle of shit the other day. Dick. Didn't even have YIM on at the time, either.

Can't remember what the hell I was even going on about in that post, but I do remember having a picture of Bret in it again.... *snerk*
(And, no, that is NOT why it pissed on my leg and tried to convince me it was raining. It did that just to be a dick. Believe me...)

Oh... got my hair cut AGAIN.
Well, it was either that or try to "fix" it myself, which very well coulda wound up with me wearing a wig or a baseball hat for a few months, so I stopped at a place in Warminster and let another chick take a whack at it.

She done good.

I did that yesterday. Came home still wet (to save money) and curled it myself. Came out good. Got up this morning, did a hayride and didn't need to curl it again, just brushed it out, sprayed it and then, in less than 3.7 seconds, thanks to the stiff wind that blew all day, it looked like hell, anyway... lol.
Whatever.
I know it can do what I want it to do, so I'm happy.

Made chili today. Great big old pot of it. I did that so I could feed Rob when he brought the Bird back, plus Eric loves it, but I was asleep when he got here and he'd already eaten.
*sigh*
Men. (But, again, due to (more) excessive flatulence (than usual), I knew Eric had some and musta liked it.... *fanning air rapidly*)

Oh yeah... this poor guy (Rob) is fixing my car and he called me by radio the other day and was telling me all he'd done. He goes thru the list of shit he's done and when he finishes, I answer brightly... "Wow, Dude. Thank you soooo much. Hey! I set the clock in your radio for ya!"
He actually was happy I did that 'cause he couldn't figure out how to do it, so ... *grin*

Today I duct taped a (glass) ashtray into a convienient spot in his truck for him.
Wish I'd been awake to explain THAT when he showed up.
*giggle*
He probably thinks I'm nuts-er than usual right now....
But, he didn't have one.... I kept getting ashes all over his floor.
So, I fitzed it. ("fitzed" being my goofball way of saying "fixed" when I'm being "adorable"... *gag*)

SO! Car done, hair finally correct, house and carport needs major cleaning, hayrides are about over and I guess the next major step is to become... *gulp*... employed.

The store I used to work at still has my last app hanging up with another one in the "cashiers" section, according to a buddy of mine who still works there, buuuut... wardrobe and "already knowing the job" and "avoiding math"-wise, I'd much rather do what I did before, which was night stock shit. I do NOT need to futz around with money... especially other people's money, ya know?

If I can't do stock there, like I used to, I believe I'm gonna try to find a waitressing job. It's been long enough since I've done that that the idea of dealing with the public doesn't make me ill and I do love the "instant money" that is inherant in that job, soooo... one way or the other, I will do what I want. Can be at the store or not. I don't care.

Watching "The Goodbye Girl".
Ya know, I could almost fall in love with Richard Dreyfuss in this movie. "Elliot Garfield" is such a cool guy.... Love Marsha Mason, too. She's also great in "Max Dugan Returns". In fact, I may just hafta let that run while I clean in a while....

*several minutes later*

Ya know... my life may not be very "conventional", but I do love it now. It's 2:09am, on a Saturaday morning and here I sit, typing away, in a semi-messy house, with "The Goodbye Girl" playing. May not sound like much to some people, may even sound sad to a few, but I guarantee you, it's not.

I've closed more bars in my life than a couple and this is much, MUCH better.

(Oooh... bars.... I have Tequila. Hmmmm.
The idea of cleaning just got a little more interesting... *giggle*)

Okay then... there's only about 15 minutes or so of this movie left, so I guess I oughta wrap this up and get ready to do something constructive soon.

I shall return.
(And, no, that is not a threat.... *snerk*)

Peace
