Well, I was gonna go to bed...

Then Pixy had to be all silly and chirp in my comments (anybody got any cheeeese? Sgt. Hook says crickets like cheese...) and he reminded me of a silly assed story about my Dad and his brother when they were kids.

Seems my Pop-pop had sent them to bed one night and they wouldn't stop screwing around and go to sleep. They were about 6 and 9 years old, or whatever. Little kids. Anyway, after about 43 trips back and forth between his chair and the bottom of the steps to tell them to settle down, my Pop-pop said "That's ENOUGH! I don't wanna hear one more PEEP outta you two!!" He then stood there for approximately 6 seconds til one of 'em says "Peep."
They both got their asses smacked for that and to this DAY, neither will admit it was him.

I personally believe it was Uncle Jim. Of course.

I come from a long line of smart-asses.

1 Dare I ask how I sparked such a fond memory?

2 Well...actually, Pixy started it (lol). He chirped in my comments this morning, prompting the 'Dad/peep' story (chirp/peep...at the end of the night they're close enough to the same) and as I was typing my lil intro as to why I hadn't gone to bed like I kept saying I was gonna, I remembered you said crickets like cheese, then I flashed on that Urkel kid and his "Anybody got any cheeeeese?", so I wrote that, then just so not too many people would think I was goofy asking for cheese for an alleged cricket, I reminded 'em that I got that from you.

(pant, pant...whew.)

Jeez...actually seeing how my brain fires step by step is almost scary. Kinda like seeing a car wreck....
"Oooh, lookit that. God damn, man...that's messed up. Glad it ain't me."

I need more coffee.

Actually, Sarge, every time I read your name-Sgt. Hook- I hear that song "On the Cover of the Rolling Stone" in my head, even tho I think that guys name was really DR. Hook, wasn't it? (Which, by the way, I happen to a cover from Rolling Stone on my desktop. It's that one with JLo from Feb. 2001. The first time I saw it, it made me mad and helped me lose 75 lbs. in less than 4 months, so I found it and added it as a desktop thingie for motivation again.)
Aaaggghhh-now I've got 'Cover of the Rolling Stone' stuck in my head!!!
Ah, fuck it. It's probably karma, for me bein' such a dillhole...lmao

Ain't ya glad ya asked? (still giggling...)

3 It's actually rather amusing, 'cos my brain works much the same way...

lol

(And there are ten kids in my very cheeky family, at least eight of which would have said, "Peep!"
