This is a test...

of the "Can-I-spell-that-without-looking-yet?" system, which will be explained in a minute.

That, Dear People, is a name, a real person's name. He is, or was, the coroner for LA County. Not even Vince Bugliosi wants to have to write that out every single time in his book "Outrage", so he shortened it up to Dr. Lak.

I like unusual last names and I always try (and usually suceed) in getting them right, especially Italian and Polish surnames. God, they are so cool. They sound really wicked too, when ya get 'em right. I love to really look at how the spelling, the letters themselves, correspond to the sound of it, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, the "system" I have for remembering things like this is really easy. I forget where I got it from, but I've been doing this for years and it really, really works... for words, spelling, short lists.... it's cool. Ready?

Say it, whatever it is, 12 times in a row to yourself. You do that, it's yours forever.

Watch... that name is scrolled up past where I can see it right now, but I can still do it...

See? *grin*
That is so cool.....

Neat name, but, man, I'd hate to have fill out the kind of paperwork where ya hafta do one letter per box. Criminy.

And, can you even imagine the things this poor guy must get called, with people mangling the pronounciation? Gawddamn.

While I'm (kinda) on the subject... I like Vince Bugliosi, I really do. He was a truly fair and very intelligent prosecutor. (And, I detest persecutors, believe me.) BUT...

There have been more "errors" in his... arguements, reasoning, thought proceeses... just everything, with OJ. I keep seeing things that show he's of two minds, wants things both ways, about A LOT of things. He's seems almost blinded to this vacillation by his complete belief in OJ's guilt.

He does have just as many, if not even more, valid things to say and he's even funny, sometimes. I find myself giggling at an anology one minute and saying "Whoa, back up one second, Dude... you just said the opposite thing three pages back..." and getting kind of annoyed with him for this. Once or twice, I could see, maybe, doing that... but not this many times. And, I'm only up to page 155. (Not speed reading this one. I never do. It's about the 30th time I've read it and I see more and more of this contradictory stuff each time.)

There are also a few holes in Helter Skelter, but no where near as many or as important.

Same goes for Fatal Vision. Going by that book alone, Joe McGinnis is an opportunistic, lying bastard. But, I've read others of his books and he did a great job with those, so I don't know what the hell his problem was with Jeff McDonald. I think it was something personal and that it had to do with money.

I also have HUGE doubts about Jeff McDonald being guilty. What's been done to that man is obscene. If, I repeat IF, the case against him is so "solid", so winnable, that the new evidence and the COMPLETE evidence wouldn't help him, anyway (as the courts claim), what have they got to lose by doing it AGAIN and doing it CORRECTLY? Jeezus.

All Jeff has to do is express remorse to be able to get parolled. He won't do that, because he maintains his innocence. He's been in prison for about 25 years, so far. And, could be out if he tacitly "confesses", as it were.

And, he refuses.

There's GOT to be something to that kinda fortitude. It MUST mean something... Why on earth wouldn't he just say whatever they wanted to hear so he could get the hell out?

Honor, that's why, I think. His honor.
I respect that and it makes me believe, even more than I did in the first place, that he is innocent of these murders.

I dunno....

Anyway, my ORIGINAL point was about these inconsistancies in these books. I keep thinking I want to get them all together and be able to see the better, larger overall picture of these crimes, but I also wonder if it would melt MT, or the whole Net, or you guys eyeballs to slog thru it all...

Tsk.

Well, I like this kinda shit, anyway. (I know I'm goofy, heshup...) Maybe if I can get it boiled down well enough, I'll give it a shot.

Be nice to know, though, if anybody else (on the PLANET) gives a crap... lol.

Aaaanyway... There's a whole other chapter about "last week" that I never even got to, what with my t.i. (that'd be 'temporary insanity'). Everything seems to have worked out fine with it, so far *knocking wood*, but just the way it happened, the timing of both the start and the end of both deals, the sheer insanity that the "ex" wanted to visit upon this farm... gah. It defies the imagination.

Not even, I, with my twisted brain, could think up this shit this woman does... or tries to do.

I also have some wash and a few dishes and I want outta this house for a while. I just hafta find my stupid sweats that I fear are still in the washer... lol. *siigh*

So, I'm gonna go do this "house" shit and I'll be back later.

Hope everybody is just fiiiine.

Peace.

P.S.

1 Did you hear about the woman named Susan Fuchs? (said 'few-cks')

She got tired of the name, so she had it changed legally.

She is now Brenda Fuchs....

2 12 times, huh? I'll give it a try, although I am beginning to think my brain is fried from lack of sleep.

4 I come from a long line of Provenzanos.

Not so exotic, but enables me to say, "I've a family full of Pros!"
