Alright, this is getting annoying, now...

I seem to "fall off-line" every half hour or so.
Nice job, ya buncha jackoffs.

Honestly...

In the meantime, I do feel somewhat better, after having gotten to read
Gut Rumbles and Snow, so far.
Hmmm... wonder what that says that they were my first two stops? They couldn't be in more similar a situation regarding ex's, yet more vastly different as people.
And, I just happen to have "Billy Jack" running on the TV.
(Briefly, to me, Rob is kind of like Billy Jack. Tough, strong, morally correct in what he stands for, persecuted by narrow-minded ignorant asswipes... you know what I mean. And, by the same token, Snow makes ME feel like Billy Jack when it comes to our reactions to her ex. She's pacifist, like Jean in the movie, and I'm instantly thrown into "maim" mode when it comes to him ("X")... that dork.)

My favorite of Billy's lines to quote is the speech before the ass-kicking in the ice cream parlor, but the words I belive the most, the one I FEEL the most are the ones he says to Jean, outside the school, after Martin was murdered. Jean is pleading with him not to seek revenge for Martin. She says they can go someplace else, someplace where "it doesn't have to be like this..."

Billy says:
"Oh really? Well, tell me, where is that place? In what remote corner of this country, no- of the entire Goddamned planet is there such a place where men really care about another and really love each other? Now, you tell me where such a place is and I promise you, I'll never hurt another human being for as long as I live. JUST ONE PLACE!!!! (No reply.)
...That's what I thought."

Anyhow...

The kids are here for one more night. George has to go to Jersey tomorrow morning anyway and instead of running back and forth 45 times, I suggested he just do both tomorrow.
Yeah me... Miss "Ew! Kids!!!!" I suggested it. Again.

Originally, after the stupid little stunt Eric Jr. pulled right before he left last time (again swiping a pack of George's cigarettes and then lying about it), I said until he quits this shit, we can just keep the visits confined to weekends, as opposed to having both boys come and stay for a coupla weeks, like last summer. It's last summer I'm trying to avoid. Christ, what a balls-up that was. I refuse to get and then BE the only one involved in making sure EVERYBODY ELSE'S kids behave. Frig that bullshit. I just also refuse to live like a hostage in my own house, too. It's enough of a pain in the ass having anybody here at all, let alone for what can start to seem like forever and especially when those people are acting asshole, ya know? Having to hide my cigarettes, for instance... who needs it?

Anyhoot... it was gonna be for just the weekend. Then, it got extended to Tuesday, which was fine. Then, Tuesday, for some reason which I currently can't remember I suggested they stay another day. Then, I just did it again.

Don't ask me. I dunno.

In the meantime, as usual, Eric Sr. cannot, for the love of God, either deliver messages the way they were said, nor can he relate phone conversations worth a poop. Otherwise, I'd not have been all defensive about the "other twit-bitch" with the "three-legged Arabian". The way HE said it, it was gonna be a repeat of the "Ambercrombie & Fitch" bitches who were here the very first time. Well, it wasn't.

It's an older couple, no daughter with them and they have this HUGE assed farm over in North Jersey. They have a 62 stall barn, for Christ's sake. They came, they saw... they say they're sending three horses here. The Arabian with the bum leg, a 23 year old brood mare whose not 'broke' and the man told Eric Jr. he has a horse for him, too. They also said they'd send a check every month to help feed them all. We didn't ask, they offered.

Blew me away, lem'me tell ya.

Then, about an hour ago, Eric radios me to tell me Jon just called him about the Quarter Horse. Jon had just delivered hay to those people again and the man who owns the horse said he'd be bringing him here Friday night or Saturday morning.

We gonna need a bigger barn...
