Linkfest, Part 3...

Next 15 or so blogs, comin' up.

Before I start that though and in light of what happened yesterday, I'd like at this time to exhort Jack Klugman to KEEP BREATHIN', DUDE!!!! He was always my favorite, anyway.
Ain't he cute?

If I ever got to meet him, I'd give him a longest hug in history. I grew up watching him and Tony on The Odd Couple. I liked him even more as Quincey. It sucks to have lost Walt, Jack Lemmon and now Tony, but... Thank God Jack Klugman is still here. Hmmm... now I'm wondering if Bret's still alive. Bret Somers, not Hart. Jack's ex-wife....

Aaaanyway... on to the blogs.

First one this time is Pril. She lives on the West Coast, is in a band and is in the process of moving. She's got more energy on a bad day than I do... ever. She is always on the go, promoting the band, finding jobs, performing... and now moving. God. Just typing all that made me tired. I don't know how she does it all and still has the energy to write such cool stuff. I remember I found her at Rob's too and once, when she mentioned a certain shop in Arizona and the coffee they carry, I found the info for her. I love that kinda stuff. Challenges like that, ya know? (Not that she directly challenged me to find it. The opportunity was just there, so I took it... lol.) Anyway, Pril is a sweetie. A (currently) pink-haired, talented sweetie. The kinda chick I'd love to hang with... if I could even keep up.

This is Jack. If I'm not mistaken, I think I found Jack at Rob's, too. I like Jack. He thinks things through in a way I wish I did. He's also funny. If you want to see perfect examples of each of these qualities, go read his top two posts. (How did we get here? and his observation on French MTV...) Yeah, Jack is in France. He just moved there for his job. They'd better be good to him while he's there. He's a really good guy.

Next we have Amy. Amy is... where to start? Amy is Amy. There's something about her that not only blows my theory that 'women suck' right outta the water, it also brings out this side of me I didn't even believe existed. I get 'pissed-off pitbull' protective of her. The reasons have waaaay more to do with who she is and the way she lives her heart than which particular guy on the planet it is that ain't gettin' that, but... whatever ya wanna call it, it's there. Always will be, too. Maybe that has a lil something to do with the fact that outta her list of "100 things", I matched her on about 70-some of them. I dunno. Whatever it is, it is. She gets it. And, that's all that really matters.

Next, we have Special K. I haven't been reading her long, but I've loved what I have seen. Just look at the title of her blog, fer Pete's sake. Then, there's her sense of humor... dry, witty, sarcastic, funny, true... she kicks ASS! And, like me, she has an endless font of opportunity to excercise that sense of humor by observing her Sweetie. If everybody in Canada is like her and Paul, I'm moving.

Next up is Beth. First of all, that is a gorgeous Medicine Hat she has. (That'd be the horse.... ) Second of all, SHE HAS HORSES!!! Thirdly, she's sweet and funny and smart and I like how she writes. However, just lately her page is also showing up a little wonky. The righthand side is too far to the right for me to see and nothing I do makes it better. Any suggestions? I hate missing out on her.

This is Snowball. Snow is, without a doubt, one of the sweetest, gentlest, most patient women I've ever known of. I swear to God, she makes Mother Teresa look like a raving lunatic... or me, maybe. If y'all think I get nutso now over shit, lem'me tell ya... if I had to put up with one-tenth the amount of shit Snow does from certain boneheads, I'd LIVE on top of a silo with a sniper rifle. But, not Snow. No matter what gets thrown at her, she maintains. Sure, she gets mad, has questions, but she always thinks before she reacts, a quality I admire very much and am trying to pick up from her. She sees people in a way that is completely different than me and I'm learning a lot about that from her, too. She's so much more feminine and sweet than me, she makes me feel like Billy Jack to her "Jean" most of the time. That's really okay though. Those two, Billy Jack and Jean, were friends and learned from each other all the time. (And, yeah, I do know that those two were really married, and still are, in real life. Kinda cool.)

Next up is my 'other Eric'. He's always been my 'other Eric', but is even moreso now, after having those two SRV songs up that I got to download. And, yes, I do believe I found him at Rob's too. I always find quality people over there. Eric is a sweet, intelligent, funny guy who knows his APF... that'd be "Alcohol, Pool and Firearms". I know he mixes the first two a lot, but not the first and third. Guy's too good a shot. He's not too bad at pool, either, except when he's gettin' his butt kicked by his 83 year old Great Uncle.... *giggle*

Next up is Joshua Norton II, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico. He's another new one. I've been reading his archives and the more I read, the more I like him. He grew up way differently than I did, harder than I did, and he's still a much better person than me. His sense of humor is excellent and so is his perspective. He gives you the truth, like I said before, the best way possible... with humor. Just like my Dad. I'm glad I found him and I kinda can't wait to get this all done, so I can pick up his story where I left off. He's one of the few people who make me wish what I was reading from him was in a book, instead of in a computer, so I could take it with me different places, like to bed to read before I go to sleep, or in the car on a long trip, or outside when it's nice. But, even though I can't, he's still more than worth sitting right here reading til I'm crippled from this chair.

Next, is Sam. Wanna hazard a guess as to where I found him? Not only does he appreciate fine German engineering, he is also intelligent, with well thought out, well-written posts. He understands politics, has strong opinions and makes it make sense. Amazing.

Now, I think I found Uncle Vito through Weblogs.com. I do know that one of the first things I liked about him was the backgrond he had on his blog. It was colorful and gorgeous and he's changed it, of course. S'okay though. He's still cute as hell. Sweet, funny and a DJ. He also has the inside scoop on cool people like Sally Starr. I like him. He's got a good heart. You can tell by the way he treats his parents and by how utterly content his adorable little dog looks. He's always got cool music available to, for those of you who know how to do that kinda stuff.

This is Steven. His is another relatively new blog to me. I forget where I found him, but his way of writing about his son got me. He has just the right blend of brains, humor and patience to be an excellent Daddy and it's cool, to me, to see it from a Dad's perspective.

Next is Mad William, a.k.a. "Mikey", when I'm annoying him with John Lennon. I adore Mike, which is precisely why I torture him with Lennon every 49 seconds. Just mention that LEGEND'S NAME- John Lennon- and Mike'll puke. Watch. Mike is scary-intelligent, especially about esoteric computer shit. He reads more than I do and looks great in a robe. (I saw a picture...) He's a sweetheart, tho he'll deny that pretty much, and I love 'talking' to him on YIM. He's got a sense of humor, a way of putting things sometimes, that'll make ya laugh so hard you can't breathe. Then, he can turn around, in the next sentence and tell ya something so personal, so close to his heart, that he makes ya just love him and wanna keep him from getting bashed ever again. Even by his own self. I really am glad I know him.

Next up is Veloci-Sweetie. Yes, I found him at Rob's, too. I love reading about his childhood and the way he sees things. I trust Kim more than I do most other people. He's kept me from dumping a coupla buckets of shit over my own head a time or two. He's also the first and only person I know of to have 'kept' anything I've written. He really got that story about Eric and the salad dressing that time, and I've loved the guy since. The idea that anyone, especially him, would find something I wrote worth saving blows me away every time I remember it. And, that it was something about Eric only makes me love it more. Thank you, Kim, for that and everything else.

Next is Patrick. I originally 'rolled him because he's David's brother, but I come to like him simply for himself these days. He's a club DJ and always has cool stories about that and I just like his way of thinking, too. Plus, now that David has quit blogging, I figure if anything major happens, I have Patrick to keep me up to date. Hey, Patrick? Can ya tell David I said "Hi" when ya talk to him next time? Thanks, Sweetie.

Last, but most certainly not least-as will be proven later on- is Munuviana. This is my home. There are about 75 or so damned fine blogs there. I, however, only know about 20-25 of these people well enough to have any background or opinions. THAT will be forthcoming, soon.
Matter of fact, it came to my attention during the groundwork for this that my other Eric is now a Munu, even though I still had him as dot com. Which reminded me that I want to re-roll the Munu's I know back to Tin Pan Alley. That, I'll be doing sometime here shortly. Either right before, right after or sometime during, I'll be doing this (that I've just done) with the Munu's I know. I'd like to also be able to finally check out all the new Munus and let ya know something about them, too.

"Coming soon, to a computer near you..."

In the meantime...
Peace.
