Kee-riste, ain't I in a mood?
Aside from the entire topic my last post was about, I'm just a bitch today.
I'm going to go outside in about a minute and stab three or four electric company guys right in the face, if they don't quit fuckin' around, for one thing.
OVER AN HOUR AGO, we were advised that the electric would be going off in five minutes for about a half an hour. That alone is cause for getting your ass kicked, in my opinion. Yes, Dear God, let's wait til the hottest time of day to shut the goddamned electric off, thereby depriving anyone of anything remotely like AIR.
Then, after more than an hour and after Eric had set up to milk, he comes in to get his soda and asks me if it's already been off and is now back on. Nope. (He'd been scraping shit and wasn't sure.)
So, he gets pissed because he went by what they fuckin' said and ASSUMED they were done and so, got ready to milk.
Nope. Nope. Nope.
He went and mentioned it to those losers and they said they'd found a way to do the work without shutting everybody down after all, the coolness of which was totally lost, wasted, made stupid, by the fact they chose not to let anybody know about this development.
So, I still hate 'em.
Too much at once may very well kill me. We shall see. Peace.

1. Why does our media show, over and over again, pictures of alleged abuse of prisoners by us that are GUARANTEED to stir up those camel-fuckin' assholes, yet refuses to show a video that shows absolutely exactly how manical and insane the "people" we are supposed to be fighting really are?
I Answer....
In general, our media prides itself on showing america how ugly it is. How full of crime, how full of corruption, how brutal and unfeeling we are to eachother and to the rest of the world, how unlike the french we are. They report that every year there are thousands of deaths from gun involved incidents and leave the fact that more people die of insuline shock on their own than by guns, let alone from automobiles and those shiny suv's floating about like ants. So you should not be suprised how the media is enjoying itself rught now bashing things american.

2. Why do we even HAVE Special Forces guys and Navy SEALS, if what they're trained to do is so 'brutal'? These guys are trained to be killers. (Thank God.) If embarrassing detainees is too much for our "oh so delicate" American sensibilities, how is being able to kill a guy with yer bare hands even do-able? Why do we even train them for that? Shouldn't they be getting lessons in bending over backwards to let atrocities slide by, ass-kissing and serving tea and crumpets, since that seems to be the preferred treatment of people of questionable (at best) terrorist affiliation?
When I think of our Special Forces guys, I have only one image in mind... Men who are the absolutely finest trained, most lethal, best able-to-end-shit men on the planet. I think of them as the most excellent of the best. If this is true (and I believe it is), I'm forced to wonder if they're even over there. Are they? If they are, how is this Bin Laden puke even alive at this point? How can one asshole be so successful in evading our Special Forces? Why hasn't one of them just blown his head off already?
I answer...
The special forces are all well and good, I've known quite a few of them over the years, worked with many more in my own personal time in the field, amazing men from both the Special Forces and Seal commandos...and they are all best of the best. The problem is that there are not enough of them, and they have been misused in their capacity for a long time. They have been used most recently to bring soccer balls to kids in Iraq if you can believe that one, because soldiers from the other branches are afraid of the Iraqi or Afghani version of a car jacking. Not to blame them, either for that fear, it's not a good feeling going from one end of a road knowing that sooner or later you are going to be feeling an rpg blast in your immediate vicinity. So, the Rangers deliver them now, in IRaq and Afghanistan.
What we really need to let loose there in Iraq are the DF guys. They are even better than Rangers at urban warfare. They need to have a free hand in order to succeed. In combination with the Seal sniper teams it would be even more so. A rioting group is so much more easily contained when they see the most agitated of them disappearing in a mist of their own blood, while not hearing a shot until its too late or at all.
Rangers, Seals and DF, would be wasted in being relegated to prison guard and interagator. Their whole purpose is elimination of the enemy, even tho they have been used in snatch and grab jobs. i.e. lightning strike assualts to gather people wanted for one reason or another. Two teams of the Delta force are in Afghanistan right now looking for that bastard Osama Bin Asshole. Which I think is more important currently. ---
So why, do you ask, are they having problems finding Osama?
Well, Afghanistan is used to wars. They passes through the mountains have been carved literally under mountains in passages dating back to 2000 or 3000bc - many more were dug during the occupation of the Russians in the 80's. While negotiating them is not impossible in locating the enemy, it does take a lot of time and effort, and we just do not have the man power to do it in a shorter amount of time.
You asked...
Or, are they being stopped from doing it, like our guys were kept from "winning" in Nam?
(There IS money involved here, after all. Again.)
Another quick lesson from Nam that even I learned... Farmers and peasant laborers by day, Charlie by night. Remember that as you defend these "innocent" prisoners.
In a manner of speaking, yes. Right now, the liberals among us are crying at the outrage of our own brutality, they have taken this as an outcry and war chant to remove the president, frankly they do not give a shit about the future of our country, they only care about their own paychecks and more importantly their own grasp of power. While this is true of most politicians, the liberals have turned this into a veritable artform. Otherwise, Kerry would have been casting his vote to save the jobs bill yesterday instead of trying to be president. On top of that, the media itself decries these same events making heroes of those that were 'abused' or 'humiliated' in those prisons of Iraq. They never mentioning that these prisoners were there for a reason... namely making war against us and so not so innocent.
Warfare is also big business, for the media included. More time has been spent in front of the news screen and newspapers than in front of the most popular tv shows afterall. The more brutal the better, as Tom Brokaw put it not long ago. If they can't complain about something and strike a chord of outrage with the public, it is not mentioned, except perhaps in passing.
But in all honesty, we are not in this war to make a profit. We are there to prevent 9-11 from happening again and making those who made war against us continually without fear of real retribution think twice about coming after us, and that is working, to an extent, we just are not doing enough.
You asked...
Hell, here's another question...
How did we get from kicking ass for 9/11 to "freeing Iraq", anyway? What the fuck does one have to do with the other? If we're not in Iraq because of 9/11, why are we even worrying about that shit, instead of avenging those innocent victims of 9/11? Why are we worrying about ANYTHING other than retaliation for 9/11 against any and everybody even remotely connected to that?
I Answered in quite a few previous posts and for the illusion of brevity I will only say, we had to.
You asked...
Is Bush on crack?
I answer...
No... But he is faltering only in his dealing with the media, not with the war.
There is only ONE way to end this war, we have no choice. We have to win it.
Truly,
Rei
