Quick question...

Hi, Dad. Just saw your two comments and now I have yet another question.

If this war is over WMD and oil, what, if anything, have we done to anyone about what was done on 9/11?
That's all I wanna know. Right this second, it's all I care about. I realize I have to get this cast of characters straight. That's gonna be fun, what with the Iraqi's, Muslims, Islamics, the Taliban and AlQeda, or however the hell it's spelled. (Like I care about insulting BinLaden by getting it wrong...*snort*)

I'll probably call ya later for a history lesson, but for now:

What have we done to anyone about 9/11?

Some(lotsa)bodies need to DIE for that. Let alone be embarrassed.

What have we done?
And, to whom?

Gonna run to the store right quick.

Be back in a few.

Peace (please... someday.)

1 Well, I know you asked your dad, but I had to answer anyway... SO forgive the intrusion.

We have done many things to those responsible for 9-11.

1) Afghanistan, the Al Qaeda and Taliban terrorist militants have been routed, Bin Laden is on the run, many of his Lieutenants have been killed or captured and even more of them are on the run.

2) Cells within the states have been crippled by seizing money and operatives. In Buffalo, Seattle, Atlanta, Florida, California among other places where they had set up shop to continue attacking us within our borders are no longer waiting for orders; They are waiting for prison sentences.

3) Internationally, money trades have been traced to more people in the business of buying martyrs.

The main focus is along the Pakistan/Afghani border, where Bin Laden is most likely eating sheepdip in a cave wondering whether the next jet he hears over his head has caught his heat signature and will deliver his laser-guided just deserts.

Hope that helps...Some at least.

Truly,

Rei

2 Thought I'd chime in with my $0.02....

In addition to everything that Rei said above, we've also shown that America will no longer take shit from anyone.

Period.

3 Well, good. I like that part.

I don't really think it's such a bad thing that those assholes realize that, while we AREN'T like them, we CAN be.

Once they understand THAT, we can just make sure they keep it mind, while they also get to see that, while we can be, we choose NOT to be like them.
(Gawd, I hope that didn't come out to Edith Bunker-ish.)

In other words, if yer driving a completely maxed out '69 GTO and you can kick ass on anybody in the tri-state area, people may not believe it til they see it happen a time or two. But, once the word gets out that it is a fact, you don't need to prove it all the time. In fact, it'll get to the point where nobody even wants to race you.

(Especially if you're a chick beatin' guys. They reeeally hate that. I realize that's beside the metaphor, but I'm just sayin'...)

Rei pretty much covered the military aspects
the problem. Anyone who flies knows the level of security is much higher at airports (and other centers of travel) than it was before 9/11. Sporting events, parades, and other large public
gatherings enjoy (?) the same heightened security.

Your brother is involved with a canine partner
and is being trained under the auspices of Homeland Security to discover explosives, drugs,
etc. Other nations are equally involved in such
precautions. The English captured a suicide group
last week who were going to big soccer game and blow up a few hundred people. The Olympics in
Athens this summer are in jeopardy because of
security problems.

We are aware, now, alert and watchful. This won't stop every plot, but we're a lot better off
than we were on 9/11.
