Two things...
Yes, we know about Gut Rumbles.
It's yet ANOTHER "Hosting Matters" issue. The "issue" being that they suck ASS to begin with and now can't even get the fuckin' story straight as to why ALL OF HOSTING MATTERS is offline.
It's either a DDoS attack from Saudi-frickin'-ARABIA *rolling eyes right outta my head* or "someone has cut the fiber optic cable to their server". Well, HM, PICK ONE, YA CHUCKLEFUCKS! God, I hate them.
Sincerely.
They ripped Rob off left and right when he was being hosted by them.
They knew what they WEREN'T doing for him.
They knew what it didn't have to cost him each month, yet they "let" him pay too much anyway and now this shit. Tell ya what... if you're hosted by them, ya better find someplace else to go.
Period.
And, for your own good. Also, Yahoo's doing it again.
Now they have another headline that reads, "Experts trying to explain yellow orange snow in Siberia". That's easy.
(And, I'm not even an "expert"...) Some dude who hasn't taken a piss for a while is writing his name in the snow.
Everybody knows if you wait to pee for a long time, it comes out really yellow.
Stands to reason that, if you wait long enough, it could possibly darken to orange, right?
Right. So, there's yer "explanation". God, Yahoo is sounding moronic lately...
(And, Hosting Matters SUCKS!!!)

Need to make a correction here Stevie. I goofed.
In searching for a reason for why HostMatters was totally off line, I found the information about a DDoS attack, but didn't check the dates carefully. Turns out I was reading about an earlier incident.
In fairness to HostMatters, they had correctly diagnosed the problem and were waiting for their upstream provider to get it fixed. They did a good job of keeping their customers updated, as you can see in the link above, and while the fix was out of their control, it was done relatively quickly, as these things go.
While I'd prefer to see more redundancy in their system, this problem was essentially out of their control.
My apologies for giving you incorrect information about the outage. I do still feel that HM overcharged Rob compared to their other customers for pretty much the whole time he used them, among other things.

Holy typos batman!
Please insert and delete letters in that previous comment as necessary to make it seem like I'm at least remotely literate.

Fixed.
(Along with "spiced ham comments removed".)
As for the HM deal... no harm, no foul. No need for you to apologize. They, on the other hand... they not only owe apologies, they owe MONEY, to the wrong person for pretty much anybody to fuck with for me to forgive.
Had they pulled that shit on me, that woulda been one thing.
But, that they chose to dick Rob, knew they were doing it WHILE they were doing it, and chose to do NOTHING to rectify the situation in any real way... that, not only do I never forgive, it just taints everything they do forever after in my eyes.
They fucked up BIG TIME and there's not a single thing they can do now to fix it.
(Not to mention that they had plenty of time before it became too late to "fix it" were they not such unscrupulous shit stains.)
So, fine. They get a pass on the "DDoS attack" part.
They're still wretched.
(Not to mention, I personally know of a one-man hosting operation that would put them to shame... and does.)

"spiced ham".... I hate this fuckin' BLACKLIST!!!
It wouldn't accept my comment with the usual word for that.
To the depths of my twisted SOUL, I hate not being able to say any goddamned thing I want to in my own goddamned comments.
Sonsabitches.
(sonsabitches- n. "people who fuck with the blacklist who're too stupid to know what they're doing and/or admit same and thus fuck it up for everybody.")

Yanno... in re-reading my own comment, something occured to me that might explain a few things to some other people about a whole 'nother "situation".
That is that this: Had they pulled that shit on me, that woulda been one thing.
But, that they chose to dick Rob, knew they were doing it WHILE they were doing it, and chose to do NOTHING to rectify the situation in any real way... that, not only do I never forgive, it just taints everything they do forever after in my eyes... applies to pretty much everybody on the entire planet.
To dick Rob in any fashion, know you're doing it, not care and to keep trying to do it is the very bestest way ever invented to earn eternal emnity from me.
To quote my favorite role-model, Don Vito Corleone...
"That I do NOT forgive."
And, just like Don Corleone, I'll seem to put up with it for a while, but when it becomes "too much" (after about a nano-second when it comes to Rob), there WILL be a response (read: massacre).
And, yes, I realize that he also says, "Revenge is a dish best served cold.", meaning that it doesn't really matter if the response isn't immediate, it'll happen eventually.
But... I ain't that good yet.
Not when it comes to a select few people...
You, Rob, Sr., Jr., George.... anybody messes with any of you guys, they'll get a response alright.
And, it'll be instant, bloody, and irrevocable.
And... that's one of the few things I actually like about myself.
(So ya KNOW I ain't eeeever gonna change it.)
