Y'all are never gonna believe what I just got done doing...

I just got home from work.
Got to use Mr. Skidloader again today... yay.

Then, after I got done the stalls, Mr. Boss said he was gonna ride one of three horses he rode yesterday and he was gonna saddle up HANK!!!!

Hank is the $25,000* World Champion Quarter Horse stallion he owns.

Man, I was excited enough just at the thought of being able to see Hank under saddle instead of a horse blanket for a change, ya know?

So, he gets him out, saddles him up and we go into the indoor.
He climbs aboard and I go park my ass on the little "steps" thing you use to help yerself get on a tall horse.

Away he goes, round and round for a bit.
Hank did GREAT, especiallywhen you consider that he hasn't been ridden since last August...

Then, Mr. Boss rides up and stops and says, "You wanna ride 'im?"

Wha???
"Are you kidding?"

"You wanna ride 'im?", he asks me again.

"Oh HELL yes", I sputtered and I brought the "steps" over and climbed up onto the BEST HORSE I'VE EVER RIDDEN.

It was fan-fuckin'-TASTIC!!!!

That horse is amazing.
The headstall and reins are just about superfluous.

Hank responds to voice, leg pressure and even just the slightest shift of your seat.

His gaits are unequalled as far as smoothness and ride-ability and I still cannot believe I had my ass on a World Champion.

Just got-damned WOW!!!!!, ya know?

My year has been made.
I don't see how there can be a better day for the rest of my LIFE, let alone year...

I'm still flying from it...

I'm tellin' ya...
Pot has NOTHING on that experience.
Nothing.

THIS is being "high".

Simply amazing....

*That's how much he cost when Mr. Boss bought him years ago.
God only knows what he's worth now...

Sounds like you're seventeen again! Riding
Diablo around the ring, winning ribbons...It appears you haven't forgotten how to handle a good horse! Damn, it's good to hear how happy you can be when you have a horse under you...

3 There is nothing better for the inside of a man/woman than the out side of a horse.
I have to use those little steps too, not because my horses are that tall, but because my knee is that SHOT.
Every ache, pain and kink in my body I can blame on a horse from the many years of riding I have under my belt.
