(My Gawd...did we actually think that was a cool song? Knock on wood? WTF? And...to a 'disco' beat? *shudder*)
But, I guess I really oughta...hang on a sec (raps self on skull with knuckles several times) (ow)...but, it's been about 8 hours since I did the shit I know how to do to 'fix' this thing and....it's still going great. Even sped it up some. Cool.
I think I must be 'channeling' Paul, or something...lol.

(And, before anybody hollers at me, I do like disco...hell, I worship the Bee Gees (Yes, Mad Wm., I can hear ya gaggin' from here), but...what the hell was that song even about? Most songs back then were about getting laid. If this one is...it's all wrong. You do any kinda 'knockin' on wood, of the verbal or knuckle variety, while trying to get laid...it ain't gonna get ya very far. Least it wouldn't if I was a guy...)

Trivia: This song was written by some guys from the STAX records (out of Memphis) studio band. It was written as an R&B number...One guy...Steve Cropper... here's a pic...

...you'll probably recognize him from the Blues Brothers Band. He was in the movie too. Neat, huh? They really put together one HELL of a backup band for Belushi & Ackroyd.

BTW: 70s music WAS cool... I still have a stack of old K-Tel records.... "As Seen On TV".
