Tancredo Calls For Impeaching Obama
Whatever you think about Tom Tancredo, you can't accuse him of being shy to voice his opinion.
Progressives, of course, are absolutely thrilled that Obama is laying waste to the Constitution to enact their agenda, and there is no chance at all of them impeaching President Obama. Because of the unspoken code of honor among political thieves, I suspect that even Republican landslides in November resulting in the GOP takeover of the House and Senate still wouldn't result in in impeachment proceedings. They're all interested in furthering their own power, and thee is little hope that they care enough about the Constitution to set a precedent that might be used against them later. Unless someone comes up with explicit criminal charges, the only thing that will end the Obama disaster before January 20, 2013 is an act of God... and frankly, I suspect he's got more important things to do. Impeachment is a wonderful fantasy. It just won't happen.
There is no higher duty of the federal government and our elected representatives than to protect our nation from invasion. Multiple reports and testimony before Congress by U.S. law enforcement and intelligence officials have stated that a porous border with Mexico is "a path" terrorists will use if they can. Some would-be terrorists, including at least one associated with Hezbollah, already have. Recent reports of contacts between Hezbollah and Mexican drug cartels make it all but certain that terrorists intent on destroying us will come across our southwestern border. Therefore, it is of utmost importance for the administration to do everything in its power to keep Americans safe. Our safety is not a bargaining chip for another amnesty - or for any other political objective whatsoever. Mr. Obama's refusal to live up to his own oath of office - which includes the duty to defend the United States against foreign invasion - requires senators and representatives to live up to their oaths. Members of Congress must defend our nation against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Today, that means bringing impeachment charges against Mr. Obama.

No, I suspect that if the Republicans take both houses of Congress, Obama will resign in disgust some time between the election and the beginning of the next Congress.

“How is there a preemption issue?” the [U.S. District] judge [Susan Bolton, a Democrat appointee] asked. “I understand there may be other issues, but you’re arguing preemption. Where is the preemption if everybody who is arrested for some crime has their immigration status checked?”
Perhaps Eric Holder should apologize.

Before impeachment there will be a series of investigations. I suspect some of the concerns over citizenship and scholarship will be revealed in congressional investigations.

The Mexican border is no more porous than is was under previous administrations. In fact, it is less porous that in times past. All manner of nefarious people dangerous to public safety have crossed in either direction. Does that mean that every president since 1845, or 1846, or 1848 (depending on your view of the Mexican War) should have been impeached?
I couldn't dislike Obama, his ideology and his policies more than I do, but all this impeachment talk is foolishness.

That's true. But just because the ruling class all have each others backs does not mean that they do not deserve impeachment. It just means that the only people can can do the job are the voters rather than the Congress.

Honestly, I think gridlock would be better for America than a Republican landslide. Don't be deceived, Republicans love the feel of the levers of power under their hands just as much as the pseudo-feudalism supporters do.

Hear hear! Time to start over with new political parties and a new constitutional convention, preferably one that allows states to secede if they so desire. As clever as most of the founders were, it's naive to think a system devised 230 years ago is still going to run like clockwork. To paraphrase Jeff Spicoli, "time for some cool new rules"!
