Hawaii Shows Birthers The Door
They shall serve no whine:
The island state's Republican Gov. Linda Lingle signed into law on Wednesday a bill that would allow Hawaii to ignore repeated requests for President Obama's birth certificate. Health Department officials say they still get 10 to 20 e-mails each week requesting verification that Obama was in fact born in Hawaii, which prompted the law. Speculation about the President's birthplace has continued on the Internet for nearly two years, despite evidence that he was born in the nation's 50th state in 1961. "I had my health director, who is a physician by background, go personally view the birth certificate in the birth records of the Department of Health," Lingle said during a recent interview on WABC Radio with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. "The President was, in fact, born at Kapi'olani Hospital in Honolulu, Hawaii," she said. "And that's just a fact."

And it's not just about Obama. There were questions about John McCain's birth as well, questions that were answered when the Senate held hearings. There were questions about Goldwater being born in Arizona before it became a state, those were similarly resolved.
Why is it that ONLY Obama is exempt from such questioning? Whether he was born in Hawaii there are legal questions about whether a person with dual citizenship is considered a 'natural born' citizen under the Constitution.
This isn't a birther conspiracy, it is citizens engaging in one of the duties of a republic, educating themselves about their leaders.
It is reasonable to put these questions to rest by opening up the long-form birth certificate and any records pertaining to travel under a different country's passport.

Pretty sure if I had the actual birth certificate, and there was nothing embarrassing on it, I'd use it to tar the GOP with the birther brush. He's holding back something the media would love to trumpet to the heavens as a body blow to all opponents of Obama....and he's not. Which means keeping it locked away is more benefit then having it out there.
Besides, on a practical level....what exactly do we do if the worst case scenario is on some long shot, actually true? What if we have ironclad, definitive evidence (not just circumstantial stuff)that proves beyond any shadow of a doubt that Obama was born outside the United States? What then? Who would issue a warrant for his arrest? Who would enforce it? Biden then becomes President? Oh, and the Dems get a virtual martyr to rally their base, and in 2012 a fresh Dem can run without the Obama record dragging them down. Meanwhile, it bears repeating, Joe Biden is the most powerful man in the world.
Sorry, I'd rather have the current snooty man-child with a Napoleon complex then a high functioning retard in the Oval Office.

Yeah, but that still does not make him a citizen of the USA. It ONLY means that he carries his father's citizenship - which was Kenya.
Even Michelle Obama has admitted to such several times.
Could it be time for a national law, mandating that candidates prove sole citizenship before being able to run in Nov election?

That goes for the Pres as well.
That being said, I think the P. is not producing his BC and I say it is just Mr. P. holding something back to be a jerk.
