1 He lied during his campaign, he lied when he was elected, he has continued to lie, and I don't see him changing his spots (although he may try to APPEAR to change at moments when it's clearly politically convenient).

2 Doesn't matter. The lie has become embedded and will be recited again and again as Truth (in the Pravda sense). Same as the damnable lie I heard odious Dodd utter this A.M. on the morning TV show, that 62 percent of consumer bankruptcies are driven by medical bills.
