Changes in Latitude

I'm in West Palm Beach this week on vacation. Blogging will be light, the Bacardi cold, and the water warm.

4 For goodness sakes, Yankee, you came down here for our heat wave/hurricane season? What were you thinking? Over here in Houston it's been over 100 degrees every day for two and a half weeks. I yearn for cool weather. I even yearn for rain.

5 Marianne, I'm from eastern North Carolina... I know a thing or two about hurricanes that the snowbirds down here could probably learn from.

Besides... it is a little cooler and a lot less humid than home right now.

6 Yankee ... I didn't mean to sound ungracious. I was just surprised, because we're still repairing here in Houston after last September's Hurricane Ike, and that inflects my attitude more than I realized. Anyway, have a wonderful time in Florida. Have many friends there and it's a lovely state. Wish they'd send some of their rain over here. We're in a deep drought right now, and that never ends well in the South.
