Four al Qaeda Militants Sentenced to Death
Now, if they can only capture the three of them that are still on the run, they might be able to carry out the sentence:
As things continue to fall apart for al Qaeda in Iraq, I find that the execution of these death sentences are quite likely, whether or not these men ever see a Jordanian jail first.
Jordan's military court on Thursday sentenced to death four Iraqi al-Qaida militants charged with terror attacks on Jordanians in Iraq. Of the four, only one is in custody while the other three remain at large and were tried in absentia. The court also handed down sentences to 10 others in the case also at large and believed to be in hiding in Iraq ranging from 15 years in jail with hard labor to life imprisonment. The group's alleged mastermind, Ziad Khalaf Raja al-Karbouly, was charged with leading the group of 14 in plotting attacks on trucks with Jordanian license plates on Iraqi roads to murder those on board.
