It's so sad because it's so true.

Hope springs eternal. Thompson? Maybe?

Thompson is no Reagan. Not by a longshot. A long, long, longshot.

He may be as close as we get this time around.

The only good thing I can say about Thompson right now is that he hasn't made my list of Republican candidates for whom I simply cannot vote (Rudy McRomney).

Ogre - I've been quietly touting Mitt for over a year with you. PLEASE - do some independent research, and decide; don't buy the pre-fab flip-flop crap the Dems made up.
After all, would you like THEM defining YOU???

Thanks to you, PP, I have certainly been doing research. I'll tell you -- his last debate appearance really turned me off. He said, basically, that as president he was going to force me to buy health insurance, whether I wanted it or not, AND I was going to have to subsidize other people's health insurance AND if I didn't buy insurance, I was going to jail.
I just don't know how to support that.

Personally, I would love to see someone like Teddy Roosevelt come out of the blue. They don't make em like Teddy anymore... sigh!

Like the cartoon says -- we're not getting a Reagan this time around. It's just not happening.
