McHenry Fraud?
Patrick McHenry is my representative in Congress. When he won his primary election, he won by 85 votes. That was back in 2004. As is usual with North Carolina politics, once someone decides the vote is over, it's over. Therefore, he was pronounced the winner -- despite some rather serious allegations of voter fraud.
Now, 3 YEARS later, there's some people pleading guilty of voter fraud -- and apparently by having illegally voted for Patrick McHenry. Now the McHenry campaign is claiming this was nothing but a political attempt to smear McHenry. However, Michael Lay was a legal resident of Tennessee when he voted for McHenry. That seems pretty darn clear to me. And Lay accepted a plea deal in the case. If he was not guilty, what's wrong with a "not guilty" plea? It's also known that McHenry brought in hundreds of campaign workers -- just like Lay -- for his campaign. Were there hundreds of illegal, felonious votes case for McHenry? Does anyone care? In addition, Lay, the person who just admitted guilt (I think) is working for Bill Graham for governor -- recruiting college students to help. I wonder how many of those college students being recruited do not have a residence in North Carolina? McHenry, Lay, and others are just making the filthy business of politics worse. Should McHenry resign? That's up to him and his conscience. However, to sit back and claim that he and his campaign did nothing wrong is, well, wrong. And for Bill Graham to continue to allow Lay to assist with his campaign after this incident can only hurt his campaign as well. Ah, politics in North Carolina: total and complete filth from one end to the other.

Its like you learn my mind! You appear to know a lot about this, such as you wrote the guide in it or something. I think that you could do with some percent to power the message home a bit, but instead of that, this is great blog. An excellent read. I’ll certainly be back.
