Stupid Government
It's almost beyond comment. Certainly it's utterly beyond belief. The concept that a mayor would decide that he has the power to tell everyone in his town that they're not allowed to use a grill after 8:00pm is just insane. That's right, grill a hamburger at 8:01 and it's to jail for you.
Now I realize that the "recreational fire" ban was lifted within a day by sane people on the town council. But still -- does the idea that one person has that sort of power not scare you? How much power have we actually given to government? This was just a mayor of a small town -- but how much power does government really have today? If the president had ordered that, would there be anything you could do (apart from just ignoring it)? Seriously. Think about this one. Government today, in America, clearly has the power to do literally anything it wants -- AND YOU CANNOT STOP IT. And people wonder why I so strongly support the second amendment...

Now that is assine. Because of some smoke?
Now if he used the logic about it being dry and fire hazard I would understand because that happens a lot in Northern Michigan, they outlaw outside fires due to fire hazards because of the dryness outdoors.
