Stop Bill Graham?

Just like the presidential elections for 2008, the race for governor in North Carolina has already started. Democrats, via massive campaigns of lying and disinformation, have continued to rule the state with an iron fist. However, the only place they cannot gerrymander (although they can cheat) is on statewide elections. Strangely enough, the people of NC always vote for a Republican for president (and have since the 1970s), but they keep electing Democrats for governor. I think it's because the candidates for governor are just better liars, but I could be wrong.

Anyway, the Republicans are already jockeying for their own campaigns for governor for next year. So far I know of just two confirmed candidates for governor on the Republican side, Fred Smith and Bill Graham. I haven't gotten completely behind anyone yet -- I'm still waiting to see who else might show up. But I've met Fred Smith and have reported on him here at this blog. I haven't seen anything to dislike about him.

Bill Graham was at the recent conservative leadership conference, and I heard him speak. I also know him from his recent campaign to stop the Democrats increasing the already massive tax on gasoline. But now I've been alerted to the existence of a website called StopBillGraham.com. It really blasts Bill Graham as an insider who has donated thousands of dollars to liberal Democrat candidates. That's pretty bad, if you ask me.

I'll be contacting the Bill Graham campaign to see what they have to say about this situation.

1 I think a former justice names Orr is also running, but he is a liberal republican.

I am supporting State Senator and Businessman Fred Smith for Governor. We need a conservative with business sense in the Governors chair.

2 I remember Orr, now that you mention him. Of those three, I'm favoring Smith as well, so far.

3 Fred was a registered Democrat from 1974-1995

Fred Smith was a registered Democrat from 1974 – 1995. He also voted in every Democratic primary during that time. On the 1980 Democrat Presidential Primary ballot was:

President Jimmy Carter
Sen. Edward Kennedy
Jerry Brown

The 1984 Democrat Presidential Primary ballot included Walter Mondale. The 1988 ballot was led by Michael Dukakis and the 1992 ballot was led by Arkansas Governor Bill Clinton.

So Fred, who'd you vote for? More Fred facts to come. Stay away from Fred - he's not all he appears to be.
