Alberto Gonzales Circus

Other than the total entertainment value, I really do like when Democrats do stupid things like have hearings regarding members of President's Bush staff. You see, as long as they're wasting time with such political posturing and trying to generate talking points for the far left, they're not passing laws that take away more of my money and rights.

The whole concept of these hearings is a complete joke -- well, it would be if the Democrats didn't honestly believe they have the power to fire Mr. Gonzalez. You see, they don't, but they don't care. Just like they believe they have the power to direct the United States Military because, well, because they want to; they think they have the power to fire Mr. Gonzalez. I'd love to see them make the decision from the committee. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised at all to later on find out that the Senate had passed a "non-binding resolution of un-support of Gonzalez."

But it's all PURE politics with zero meaning. Of course, that's how the Democrats actually define themselves -- feelings and politics are MUCH more important than actual facts and ideas.

Chuckie Schumer, a vocal critic of freedom and America for decades, stayed true to his insane liberal roots and quest for power. He claimed that since Gonzalez didn't answer any questions that provided them any evidence of ANY wrongdoing, that showed the need to basically subpoena Bush and attempt to bring him before King Schumer's committee. I'd love to see that move.

Patrick Leahy (looney Party, VT) was "not satisfied" with Gonzalez' answers. The only reason is because Pat wanted Gonzalez to blame Bush for everything, just like Pat does all the time. He was disappointed that the Senate committee could not turn Gonzalez over to their side (against Bush and America). I think Pat figured that since Gonzalez was a lawyer that he was a Democrat and would roll over for the committee.

Sen. Arlen Specter (Stupid Party, PA), as usual, played the "I'm in the middle of the road like a deer in the headlights" card by claiming that it wasn't his decision whether Gonzalez should be fired. Well at least one of the morons on that committee understands that -- I don't think any other members do. Of course, at the same time, Specter criticized Gonzalez and basically called him a liar.

Sen Lindsey Graham (Flounderer, SC) claimed that it was clear to him that there were personality conflicts with the fired attorneys. Of course, that has nothing to do with anything, but that's Lindsey Graham for you. I'm still not sure he realizes that he actually won the election and since McCain wasn't standing next to him, whispering in his ear, he really didn't know what to say, but he felt he had to say something. You know that old saying about "It is better to remain silent and feel a fool..."

Sen Jeff Sessions (Confused, AL) mumbled something about wanting to have the ink dry on a hearing before they had another vote about a hearing in which to fire the Attorney General before they had to determine if they had the power to dry ink in regarding to Presidential staff because the Justice Department needs a vigorous leader. And he thought that Gonzalez should think about if he should resign because he should if there's some reason for him to. I'm not touching that one.

Mitt Romney (Whatever You Want To Hear Party, Candidate 200 said that the Attorney General should not step down unless he's done something wrong which Romney didn't know -- but wasn't afraid to comment before he had read the transcript of the circus hearings on Thursday.

Sen. Tom Coburn (Who Knows?, OK) called for Gonzalez to resign because someone, somewhere, at some point in time may have once done something wrong. And that was reason enough for him.

Did I mention what a total circus this was? Again, the ONLY purpose for these hearings IS the Democrat Party platform -- and has been for at least 6 years: attack Bush and anyone associated with Bush with any means possible. As long as you slimeballs keep your hand out of my wallet, you hold as many circus hearings as you want.
