NC Freedom Advances

Freedom takes a tiny step forward in North Carolina, much to the chagrin of socialists across the country. This group of socialist activists.

These activists and the reporter are bemoaning that some people are still allowed to be free. They complain that some people have been allowed to own property when they honestly believe that the state should own everything. It's part of their "First Million Acre" plan -- where they use the force of state government to take ownership of land from individuals and put it in the power of the state -- oh, "for the children," in the name of "preservation," so it's all allowed.

Once again, the socialists show their hand, even when they won't admit it. These people honestly do not like people to own land. The seriously will not be satisfied until the government owns every square inch of land on the planet. And they know most people oppose those actions, so they lie and claim it's "for the children." But don't worry, your government is still paying hundreds of millions of dollars to take your own land from you.

Oh, how I yearn for freedom.

1 You really wouldn't like my blog post this morning, then. I'm still preaching secession and civil war. A late post yesterday shows I'm not the only one, either.

2 I'm not opposed to secession. I just know the federal government will kill as many people as it has to in order to stop any state from leaving the union.

3 The federal government is full of wimps who are too used to appeasing or threatening to cut off money.

This is what they'll get for continuing to think we're all too stupid to understand what they're doing to the country. I'd bet on the rednecks winning the fight.

4 I agree that it's full of wimps -- but those wimps have the military of the US government under their power. If a state were to leave, that would be a huge source of income to the federal government. When it comes down to losing some power and cash, those wimps will not hesitate to send someone else to die so that they can retain their power and control.

(Nice cartoon, by the way).

5 It might also be the first time in history that the federal government experiences a full military mutiny considering they have basically told the our military that they aren't worth supporting.

6 you honestly think that the farm boys from Iowa, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama will fight against and fire upon their own countrymen after their government has told them that they aren't important enough to warrant funding?

Posted by: chris at April 02, 2007 08:35 PM (rBjHa)

7 Having been there, it's a tough call. I know there is certainly a portion of the military that absolutely will not, under any circumstances, fire upon Americans. But at the same time, there are those -- I knew many -- that would follow the orders because they were told to.

8 Well... all things considered I don't think Bush would give the order for it. Congress would try but, you know, they aren't the Commander in Chief, he is. I think he'd play dumb, which he can do very well at times (that is, if you really think he's acting). Think about it, they keep saying he's incompetent so why should he disabuse them of the notion?

9 From the article,
"So far, the initiative has protected about 405,00 acres."

By cutting into the citizens' wallets!

Here in Northern Virginia, the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Act prevents many of us from selling and improving our properties. It's all a con game, and the government is conning citizens out of their rights to own and manage their own properties. Upon which we pay one helluva ransom in real-estate tax, which goes to fund the pathetic public schools.

10 Hey Steph, just ask the Democrats -- they ARE the commander in chief. Seriously. They're passing "laws" now that direct the use of troops.

But I think Bush might actually give the order. I can see him activating the national guard for "protection."

And AOW, that's the point! The leftist government in this country wants to own and control ALL land. If it makes you happy to put your name on it, they're fine with that -- as long as they get to control it-- which they do.

Protection of whom? *grin*

12 Indeed. Doesn't matter, does it?

Posted by: Ogre at April 03, 2007 02:42 PM (oifEm)

13 LOL... not really. Just remember the revolution. The "greatest army in the world" was defeated by a bunch of farmers.

14 Excellent point. I think "Red Dawn" should be required viewing for all students. But the government wouldn't like that, would they?

Posted by: Ogre at April 03, 2007 05:48 PM (oifEm)

15 Probably not. I can think of a lot of movies that should be required viewing but I don't think the government would like any of them, either.

16 This government doesn't like any independent, free thought. Just do what you're told and shut up -- it's best for you.
