Wedgie Jail Time

I'll admit it -- when I was younger I received a lot more wedgies than I gave. And you know what? They sometimes hurt. Yes, even the ones that tore my underwear. But never once did I consider going to my mother, much less the police! Apparently times have changed, and not for the better.

Apparently, a 13-year old got a wedgie and ran home to his mom and cried. If I had done that, my mom would feel sorry for me. Then when my Dad got home and found out, he'd have laughed at me for being such a damn wimp. But not this 13-year old's mom. She took him to the damn emegency room!

Carol (the kid's mom) -- this IS just a prank. This IS no big deal. Kids get hurt -- that's how they learn. By teaching your child to go to the police and use government to mete out severe punishment for minor actions, you're teaching him to be a socialist bully, instead of a self-sufficient productive citizen. You're encouraging him to be today's feminist version of a man -- one that will not protect and serve women, but will instead bully and abuse them.

Kids hurt kids. That used to not be a big deal. But society stinks now. I wonder how much taxpayer cash this minor pain will cost me. Anyone want to start a pool for the date that Carol files the lawsuit against the school and the dollar amount she demands in "compensation?" Wimpy, selfish morons. That's today's society. I refuse to participate.

1 Welcome to Liberal World.

The left would probably be upset if we gave Iran a wedgie.

2 I'm sure this entire wedgie incident is Bush's fault.

I honestly cannot understand the left's so strong a desire to blame someone -- and it's always NOT about responsibility.

3 In my house both mom and dad laugh at the kids.

4 Mean Mommy!

Must be a non-Democrat household...

5 I would have laughed as well. Then again, I told my boy to shove a kid... the kid was trying to strangle him. Yaa... bad mommy. You should have seen the look on that kid's mom's face. ;-) Next time she won't be gossiping but watching her kid... yaaa right (sarcasm)

6 Bad, BAD lefty mommy! Don't you know that ONLY government can solve your problems? How dare you teach your children to solve problems WITHOUT government. I think someone needs to be sent to re-education camps...

7 And this is why I don't buy the whole bullying excuse over at my site. What passes for bullying today is nothing compared to what we went through.

And you kids get off my damn lawn.

8 Actually I think its a God awful prank and can damage someone Ogre..sorry!...maybe kids will think twice b4 doin this eh?..then again maybe not?

Posted by: Angel at March 29, 2007 04:11 PM (PSMJm)

9 Exactly right, Trench. Looking at someone the wrong way, in today's society, is considered bullying or terrorism.

And Angel, that's what you're supposed to think -- you're a female! Women are supposed to nurture and protect -- and the males are supposed to stand up and be men about things. That makes me think -- I wonder where the kid's father was through all this... And no, Angel, they won't think twice about doing this sort of thing -- it's what male kids DO. If you start locking up someone every time they give someone else a wedgie, you're going to have some VERY full jails.

10 Exactly, Ogre. Like playing in the mud, breaking their toys, getting in scraps, and making messes, it is just what boys do.

Posted by: William Teach at March 29, 2007 04:31 PM (doAuV)

11 Which is why we must ban all those things.

It's not supposed to be logical because the left doesn't function with logic...

12 For babying out loud!! I used to get and give wedgies all the time...and bloody noses and skinned knees and elbows. I tripped a boy one time and he broke his arm. WhoopDEE DOO!! He lived!!

On a similar note...a little different than this post but the same with adults trying to engineer kids:

13 Are you kidding me. We used to give our friends wedgies, just for the fun of it. My oldest boy got one last year. When he complained to me about it, I told him the next time he sees the kid, do it back... or give him a purple nurple.

Posted by: Contagion at March 29, 2007 11:09 PM (T4WRc)

14 You broke his arm, Raven? I don't understand how you weren't locked up for at least 10 years!

And Contagion, don't let social services find out, or they'll take your kids away from you for encouraging violence, and then arrest you for domestic terrorism.

It sounds like I'm kidding, but I'm not. Seriously, if someone reported you to Social Services for telling your kid to give wedgies, I bet they WOULD take him away from you...or at least they'd try...

15 Since I haven't seen it here yet I will mention it ..

Heard this on Fox news yesterday morning ..

A elementary school in Seattle took away all lego's from the kids because they would fight (argue) over the pieces and what to build....

So they school would only give them back after the kids underwent re-education about the lego's and now the kids can only all build the same thing with the legos so there would be no arguing ...

16 I remember reading about that awhile back -- the school is teaching them about socialist community property and that no one should be able to own anything.

Reason #451,399 why government schools are horrible and evil.
