Iran vs. England

See, now this right here is why I'm not King of England. If I were, as soon as word came in that Iran had taken some of my soldiers away, capturing them in international waters, I'd consider that a declaration of war. I'd IMMEDIATELY scramble a pile of fighters and bombers. I'd bomb the crap out of the capital (or wherever intelligence put Madman I'm-A-Dinner-Jacket) for a couple hours. THEN I'd send in the "Foreign Office" people. They'd go with a message like this one:

How many more bombs do you want me to drop before you will release my people?

Any response other than "Here are your people, we're sorry" would be met with another few hours of carpet bombing various cities and key economic facilities.

But, you see, today we engage in politically correct confrontations. We are not allowed to kill individuals. We're not allowed to kill alleged civilians. But you know what? That would get results, and it would get them damn fast. No, I wouldn't like to have to kill civilians, but as long as they leave this madman in power, yes, they can be held responsible for him. And yes, he and his country should be bombed right now.

And know what? Yes, our civilization IS superior to theirs. I know the Democrats think we're all equal, but America doesn't go out on the high seas to commit piracy and kidnap citizens of other countries. This time it's worse than the usual terrorists -- we've got a target, we've got a country that has committed an open act of war. Why haven't they been attacked?

Furthermore, how did these guys get caught? I think if I were on a ship near Iran and an Iranian boat came to "inspect" my ship, I'd let them inspect the barrels of some guns up close. But oh, we couldn't do that, because it would be an "international incident" -- yet when the Iranians commit piracy and kidnapping, it's somehow not.

Someone grow some guts, would you, and put these slimy, evil bastards in their place. Drop some damn bombs on this bastard before he kills some more.

1 you couldn't have said it better!! i agree with you 100%, A lot of our brothers here in the first world have no clue about the middle eastern culture.. these people respect only one thing and one thing alone.. POWER! and STRENGTH
the moment you show weakness to this people its game over.. because they will comeback at repeat what they did again and again and again!
but if they know your willing to duke it out with them, they will backdown.

to proove this point;
Americans had been attacked so many times before the FINAL attack of sept. 11, 2001.
and the americans wouldn't lift a finger.

but the last straw came in Sept 11, 2001,
when new york city world trade centre was attacked.

"THE AMERICANS STOOD UP UNITED" and bomb them back to stone age!!! eversince there hasn't been any attack in the US SOIL!

what i think the british people should do
is to show them that a scientific law formulated hundred of years ago by the great thinkers of the west, that

"THAT IN EVRY REACTION THERES ALWAYS AN EQUAL OPPOSITE REACTION"

SO, if you kidnapp my soldiers i will detain your diplomats.. if you don't return my navy soldiers and equipment, i will destroy your whole navy fleet..

in short, i think that the brits should bomb them first and then talk about the terms of release after..just my two cents..

2 "i think that the brits should bomb them first and then talk about the terms of release after."

I absolutely do not understand why this hasn't been done. Iran openly entered foreign territory and kidnapped citizens of another country. How in the world is this NOT an act of war? The Iranians have to be absolutely laughing at the utter impotency of the British. They have already won.
