Why Freedom is Lost Today
Overheard this morning:
I was late today because of all the fog. It's because we don't have lights. We should have lights on all our highways. Why don't they build lights when they build all these roads.
And this is in an area where we might get 3-5 days in an entire year with enough fog to actually affect visibility -- and 100 days with enough rain to make streetlights reflect on the blacktop and make visibility worse. But yet there are way too many people who honestly believe "They" -- the government, via massive, heavy taxes, should do everything for everyone. That just stinks. Oh, how I yearn for freedom and responsibility.

Just watch Osama Hussien Obama's first presidential campaign AD and you'll see a big problem. In one ad he proposes spending the entire GNP of the country on entirely give away programs, not just the taxes collected by the feds. The bad thing about the ad is that the mental retards (aka democrats) of the country will believe he can do it and stand around with their hands out for a handout.
