English is Racist
If you are reading this (and haven't run it through a translator), then you ARE racist. That is, according to Union Thug and Austin Council Member Mike Martinez.
I was concerned about the potential legality of such a policy and what prompted a department director to move in a policy direction that could be viewed as potentially racist.
What policy? Oh, one that would require employees to speak and write in English. But hey, everyone, now, who speaks English is racist. Who are we to actually want to communicate with people in English? According to Mr. Martinez, everyone should be able to speak in whatever language they want (as long as it's not English), and it's up to everyone ELSE to figure out how to communicate with them. Mr. Martinez and the Union thugs in Austin, you're scum.
